Just as he was contemplating this, a low coughing sound came from his right side.

He quickly turned and looked over. There stood his weapons officer alongside Exterminator, both staring at him with resolute eyes!!

Seeing that, a flicker of determination passed through Pact’s own eyes. He slowly clenched his fist tightly before speaking.

"Then you leave me with no choice, warrior of the human race!!"

"If you are resolved not to let us go... then I am resolved to fight until my death!!"

Kael was briefly confused hearing this, but at the same time he detected a massive surge of energy building within the Hegemony fleet’s half-destroyed fortress.

"Ohh... so that’s it, huh?"

And just as he reached that conclusion, Pact shouted loudly.

"Fire the main cannon!! Fire everything at that mech!! I want it to disappear from my sight!!"

Hearing this, Exterminator’s eyes flashed rapidly with streams of code almost instantly. The enormous main weapon integrated directly into the hull of the fortress connected itself with the small stellar core within, one overflowing with violent energy barely restrained by magnetic fields!!

"FIREEEE!!"

A dark-red energy beam erupted out from the massive barrel like a pillar of destruction itself, rushing directly toward the Dark Blade!!

Along with it, every ship and weapon system they still had functioning also opened fire!! Be it railguns, hundreds of thousands of plasma and pulse bolts, thousands of missiles, particle beams, or energy lances, all of them rushed toward the Dark Blade at once!!

Pact knew that if he truly wanted even the slightest chance of shaking off this Genesis Law Realm being, then he had to give absolutely everything he had!! And so he did, betting everything upon this single attack!!

As he watched it unfold, he silently prayed for things to go well... for a miracle to happen.

But did miracles really happen that easily?

And especially when powers of this scale were involved??

"Just as I expected..."

Meanwhile, Kael still stood calmly within the vacuum of space inside the Dark Blade, looking at the slowly approaching destructive forces that were so immense they even made him tingle slightly.

And yet he still remained completely relaxed, not worried in the slightest.

He calmly pushed the Dark Blade to full throttle, activated its main stellar core along with the mana core, and manifested the ominous shield at full strength, preparing to take the attack head-on!!

An attack that posed perhaps a 0.000001 percent threat to him. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

The combined firepower illuminated the entire battlefield as a massive artificial star appeared where the Dark Blade once stood, consuming both it and Kael within the endless destructive brilliance!!

Watching this, Pact’s breathing became ragged as he ignored the numerous warnings, alerts, and violent tremors shaking his fortress apart. He even ignored the frantic shouts of his subordinates as some screamed while others rushed around the bridge in panic!!

Some were even crushed beneath sections of the ceiling that collapsed onto them!! Pact himself was suddenly pulled away by someone and dragged along as they hurriedly vanished from the secondary command bridge altogether!!

At the same time, throughout the fortress that was crumbling under the aftershocks of its own attacks, countless people rushed toward the hangars, boarded shuttles, and fled as quickly as possible while holding their breaths in fear!!

At that moment, the massive artificial sun created by the explosion finally vanished from sight, leaving behind faint crack-like scars across space itself around the area of detonation!!

But that was not what the people still remaining inside the half-destroyed secondary bridge were focused on.

What they stared at instead... was the still perfectly intact dark mech holding the Dark Blade in one hand!!

The only visible difference was that its blue shield had dimmed heavily before finally cracking apart and vanishing directly before their eyes.

"All... all of those destructive attacks... and all we managed to do was destroy that mech’s shield??" one of the people within the command room muttered in disbelief as equipment around him shut down one after another. "How is that even possible...?"

Back within the Dark Blade, Kael could be seen breathing heavily.

"Huff... huff..."

Sweat covered his forehead and even much of his body.

In excitement, wanting to test the limits of both himself and his mech while relying purely on his own mana and the Dark Blade’s internal energy while completely setting aside Law energy, he had chosen to take the attack head-on!!

That attack had drained nearly every bit of mana he possessed.

"Damn... huff... that was way, way too close..." he muttered while breathing heavily. "Barely got through that attack without taking damage..."

Before anything else, Kael took out a blue potion contained within a beautifully designed vial.

Glup. Glup.

He quickly swallowed it down and instantly regained nearly half of his mana before once again looking toward the culprit, the fortress of the Hegemony fleet, which had unleashed an even more powerful attack than before!!

Only for him to suddenly become stunned.

He could clearly sense that almost all of the fortress’s power was now completely gone!! Along with that, large numbers of small shuttles were moving out from the fortress and entering nearby escaping ships.

A question mark practically appeared over his head upon seeing that.

"What’s going on?" he muttered. "I thought that was supposed to be their last stand? Then what are they doing now?"

"...Whatever. Who cares? Let’s get this over with."

Saying that, he contacted Crown and spoke only a few words.

"Do your thing. It’s time to finish this."

Hearing this, Crown simply nodded.

"Yes."

Just as Kael cut off the communication, he saw three brilliant blue beams of light rushing through his fleet followed by thousands of smaller streaks behind them. They struck directly into the centre of the Hegemony fleet, instantly creating blazing miniature suns that swallowed hundreds of Hegemony ships whole!!

At the same time, Kael himself rushed forward like a streak of light through space!!

And wherever he passed, burning explosions erupted behind him!!

Leaving behind burning wrecks of destroyed hulls of every kind in his wake, Kael’s crimson-lit cold weapon cut through ship shields like mere paper and through their hulls as if they were nothing but butter!!

Cruisers, destroyers, and countless other vessels were split apart one after another before he vanished within the very same second toward another target!!

It was as if the Isle of Death itself had descended upon the desperately retreating Hegemony fleet, who were finally beginning to realise the true terror of a Genesis Law Realm being and what such an existence could do if left completely unchecked!!

Everywhere the Dark Blade moved, destruction and explosions followed moments later!!

Destroyers were directly pierced through by the Dark Blade with terrifying ease before their power cores exploded violently!! Battleships lost entire sections of their hulls from a single sweeping strike before Kael immediately moved onto another target!!

Smaller-class vessels outright exploded beneath the continuous unstable bombardment of the Dark Blade’s back-mounted super cannons!!

While at the front Kael manipulated the Dark Blade to lay waste to the Hegemony fleet, at the backend the 4th Battle Fleet together with its mech and Star Fighter Corps continued doing the exact same thing to the fleeing fleet’s rear forces!!

And noticing just how quickly they were being destroyed, an entirely new level of panic surged through the remaining Hegemony fleet forces!!

"Damn this human Genesis Law Realm being! How is he this fast?!"

"Our weapon systems can’t even lock onto him! We are completely helpless!!"

The vice admiral of the fleet also shouted desperately, urging everyone around him, "Everyone, scatter quickly!!"

While others remained frozen in place, unable to process what they had just witnessed.

"How did that mech come out completely unharmed from our all-out attack...?" one muttered blankly. "I... I must be hallucinating... hallucinating..."

Meanwhile, deep within one of the heavily protected, yet somehow still vulnerable destroyers, Pact could be seen staring blankly at the battlefield map ahead of him as countless friendly ship signatures continuously vanished from it one after another!!

And within that tactical display, a dark-red light could be seen rushing and zigzagging through what remained of his fleet. Wherever that crimson streak passed, ships instantly lost their signals and disappeared entirely from the tactical map before him!!

But strangely enough... none of that was truly his focus anymore.

Because by this point, Pact had already completely lost his will.

He simply could not comprehend how things had reached this stage. Why had he been pushed this far?

That all-out attack should have at least damaged the human mech to some degree... should have bought them enough time to escape at the very least!!

But seeing that only its shield had been harmed and nothing else... made Pact begin doubting the very reality he lived in!!

And now that same mech was laying waste to his already mostly destroyed fleet!!

But strangely enough, he could barely bring himself to care anymore.
