Limited Time Marriage: Nice to Meet You Mr. Foster
Chapter 197 - 196: Please Don’t, Mister!
"What’s going on with the program list for the school anniversary? I didn’t sign up, so how come there’s a program with the two of us?" South Grant asked Chester Lynch during recess.
"I signed us up," Chester Lynch replied to South Grant’s question.
South Grant was momentarily stunned, and Chester Lynch looked down at him at that moment.
His eyes carried an indescribable depth, like an endless ocean.
Though calm, they could stir up raging waves in an instant.
"South, do you know what’s the most precious thing in a person’s life?"
His sudden formality left South Grant unsure of how to respond.
"It’s youth," Chester Lynch said to South Grant, with a solemn expression. "Because at this age, we are at our truest, and so are our feelings. That’s why I want to create some meaningful memories in this most genuine of times. This school anniversary will be recorded in the school history, and I hope you can join me in this performance."
Chester Lynch was the student council president, the captain of the basketball team, the debate team leader, and had countless awards in fencing, swimming, public speaking, and so on.
He was that model child that parents always talked about.
So outstanding that he made people unable to feel envious.
Someone like him, if he wanted to find a performing partner, there were plenty of options at school.
The number of girls wanting to perform on stage with him could circle the playground three times.
His sudden formal invitation to perform together, and saying he wanted to leave a memory.
This situation was really not great!
Could it be that the person she had a secret crush on in her past life was actually interested in her in this life?
But this was really not the right time, with Foster watching her so closely, how could she have any opportunities?
Moreover, the last incident with Chester Lynch made Foster extremely wary.
If she performed with Chester Lynch again, and it reached Foster’s ears, things would really be bad for her.
The most sensible thing to do now was to decline performing with Chester Lynch.
"I saw you registered for a drama performance. Let’s just forget it. I won’t know what to do with my hands and feet up there, and it’ll be a joke. Besides, you know my grades aren’t good, and I don’t want to waste time on performances. I just want to do well in the exams, so I’ll use that time to study instead."
South Grant couldn’t directly reject Chester Lynch, so she used studying as an excuse.
Chester Lynch was rejected by South Grant, and at this moment, he said nothing, quietly watching her.
The class bell rang, and as South Grant turned to leave and headed back to class, Chester Lynch extended his hand, trapping her between himself and the wall.
"Before this May, I and my family all thought I would attend a university in Morovia, but now I’ve changed my mind."
South Grant looked up at the now assertive Chester Lynch, unsure of what game he was playing. Did he just want to pin her against the wall?
"I’ve decided to go to Ardenne University," Chester Lynch said those words.
South Grant was too surprised, not out of self-indulgence.
Previously, when Chester Lynch asked her which school she intended to apply to, she mentioned it might be Ardenne University. Now, was Chester telling her he decided to stay at Ardenne University really for her?
Oh dear, please don’t! I was looking forward to a free university life, and if you come to Ardenne University, how could Foster possibly agree to me staying on campus!
