Limited Time Marriage: Nice to Meet You Mr. Foster
Chapter 213 - 212: Not a Cunning Fox, Just Flirtatiously Bold
After Chester left, Ivan Keller returned to the room, looking at Nathan Foster’s back injury, and reminded him softly:
"Commander, you should let someone help you with your wound."
The burn wound is quite large. If it’s not handled well, it could get infected.
"Hmm, have a doctor come here," Nathan said indifferently.
You really can’t bear to part, can you?
Ivan teased in his mind, but didn’t dare to say it out loud.
Kidding, the commander is so proud, how could he admit he cares about someone?
Can’t bear to part? He definitely wouldn’t admit that.
Just as Ivan was about to call the doctor, Nathan spoke again:
"Go get me a change of clothes."
Ivan nodded, and went out.
Nathan looked at South Grant lying on the bed, the doctor had already cleaned her face.
Without her usual sharp makeup, her face looked exceptionally serene.
At that moment, Nathan’s mind flashed to South on stage, so flamboyant and unrestrained.
But now, under the influence of sleeping pills, South was deeply asleep. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
She felt she slept so sweetly, as if she hadn’t slept like this in a long time.
South slept for a full day and night before waking up.
When she woke up, she opened her eyes to see the hospital lights on.
It should be nighttime, she turned to look at the window, only to see Nathan standing by the window, back facing her, looking at the night view outside.
South wanted to get up, but as soon as she moved, it pulled at the pain in the back of her head.
South hissed in pain, and upon hearing her, Nathan turned around.
By that time, Nathan had changed his clothes; the ones he wore during the fire rescue, which were quite disheveled, were now replaced, and he looked neat without a trace of injury.
Then Nathan walked over and bent down to look at South.
"Where does it hurt?" Nathan asked with a tone of genuine concern.
"The back of my head," South replied truthfully.
"Hmm, not lightly bruised," Nathan said lightly as he examined the back of her head.
South actually thought he was showing concern, feeling touched, she hurriedly said:
"Yes, the fire was huge, I almost carried Wendy out, but got hit instead."
Nathan looked at the back of her head, seeing the bandage with no bleeding, he was relieved.
"Your eyes, so profound, inch by inch they ignite my soul. Did you write these lyrics yourself?" Nathan sat down by the bed, gazing into South’s eyes.
South felt a chill in her heart, thinking, oh no.
Among all possibilities, she hadn’t considered Nathan would show up at the graduation ceremony.
Now the song she sang for Chester was heard by Nathan.
How to explain this to fool a dog?
Before South could speak, Nathan continued:
"Listening to these lyrics, it’s clear you’re quite bold."
South: "..."
Damn, she thought he was concerned.
Turns out he was mocking her!
You’re the one who’s bold.
"Uncle, that song was written for you," South lied through her teeth.
"Are you fooling a ghost?"
No, I’m fooling a dog!
Of course, South didn’t dare say that out loud.
If she wasn’t careful, he’d blow his top.
"This lyric, well, it’s just a little bit bold..."
Nathan glanced at her calmly, "A fox that’s not sly is purely bold. Any bolder, and the world won’t be able to keep you."
