Limitless Evolution: Summoning Villains With My SSS-Rank Talent
Chapter 28: Missions, System Shop
With each approval, a blue screen appeared before Alex.

[System: Host Alex...
After joining all 36 minor quests, Alex left the guild.
As he was no longer a slave, Jake’s whole personality had changed. The same was true for nearly everyone. He also found out that those who had met him before he received the Prime Paradox class did not feel any fear or disgust from him.
He was quite happy about that as he could still make use of some of the knowledge.
He had joined the quests to reach level 10, which also meant advancement to E, as fast as he could.
Unlike the previous days, he didn’t enter his shadow – instead, he walked to the gates on his own feet solely because he didn’t want to lose the group silently following behind him.
It was a group of wolffolk that he had purposely offended, and he wasn’t worried at all.
Nyxare was a large city that was divided into eight parts. The parts were based on cardinal directions and position. At the moment, he was in the outer northern city.
The five guilds — Adventures Guild, Alchemist Guild, Forgemaster Guild, Warrior Guild, Travelers Guild — operated the outer city. At the same time, the Church of Prime Night, City Knight Order, and Gildon Magic Academy controlled the inner city.
To enter the inner city, Players needed to be at least E – therefore, most NPCs in the outer city were either F or low E. The knights were D, though.
He soon reached the gates, and the guards offered him smiles.
It feels so weird... He thought and stepped past the gates.
Then he walked near the wall, jumped into his shadow, and made his way toward his first mission.
[Quest: Gatherer I — Collect 10 stalks of Silverain Grass.]
[Reward: 50 Experience, 50 Evo Points.]
[Time Limit: 24 hours.]
[Failure: Adventurer License Revocation.]
Alex smiled inwardly. In the past few days, he had remembered all the spots that had the items he needed to collect, so he had nothing to worry about.
Not even five minutes later, he reached a patch of grass that looked no different than silver, and he carefully pulled them.
After collecting 10 of them, he stored them in his inventory. He had to give them to Jake for the mission’s actual completion.
"On to the second one." Alex once again entered his shadow and sped toward the next spot.
[Quest: Gatherer II — Collect 5 Three-petal Blue Hibiscus.]
[Reward: 50 Experience, 50 Evo Points.]
[Time Limit: 24 hours.]
[Failure: Adventurer License Revocation.]
One after another, he collected the items and, after about six hours, had completed 27 out of 36 missions.
"Phew..." Alex sat under the shade of a tall tree and mumbled, "The remaining missions are all about killing beasts."
He looked at the greenery around him and laughed, "If it were Earth, I would’ve taken some pictures."
He rose to his feet and began walking. After a few steps, he slipped into his shadow.
Over the course of the next few hours, Alex killed and collected the corpses of the beasts according to the list.
As he had already cleared this part of the forest, it took him much longer than expected, and just as the sun dipped near evening. Alex stored his last hunt.
[Level: 5 (590/1000) (F)]
[Rank: Bronze V]
[Combat Value: 30.8 (32.3)]
[Evo Points: 3370]
"Hah. Just took me two more hours," Alex mumbled and slowly moved toward Nyxare.
Because of yesterday’s events, he had held himself back from doing this, but now he understood that delaying any longer would only hurt his growth.
He gave a mental command, Shop.
A system interface appeared before him.
[Evolution System Shop]
[Skills]⠀⠀[Artifacts]⠀⠀ [Gems & Crystals]
[Herbs]⠀ [Materials]⠀⠀[Miscellaneous]
That’s a lot of options.
He focused on [Skills], and the interface changed.
-------
• Black Sun’s Dawn (S) - 1,000,000 EP
• Heavenly Sever (S) - 1,000,000 EP
• Void Field (S) - 1,000,000 EP
-------
A million EP?!
Seeing the price, he was so shocked that if he weren’t a shadow, his eyeballs would have jumped out of their sockets.
Let’s check others.
He mentally scrolled up for a few minutes and reached the listing of A-Rank skills. They didn’t please him, though.
-------
• Twin Element Laser (A) - 100,000 EP
• Spatial Rend (A) - 100,000 EP
• Infernal Tempest (A) - 100,000 EP
-------
100,000 EP... What a scam. He let out a bitter sigh and scrolled further, checking the other ranks.
-------
• Intermediate Swordsmanship (B) - 50,000 EP
• Thunder Spear (B) - 50,000 EP
• Iron Body (B) - 50,000 EP
...
• Boulder Punch (C) - 10,000 EP
• Gale Dash (C) - 10,000 EP
• Steel Skin (C) - 10,000 EP
...
• Silent Steps (D) - 1,000 EP
• Enhanced Reflexes (D) - 1,000 EP
• Keen Eyes (D) - 1,000 EP
-------
Hah! Finally! I can at least buy D-Rank skills... He thought, not knowing whether to cry or laugh. Seems like D-Rank is the lowest.
He then checked [Artifacts], and it was no different.
The highest grade possible was Divine and cost 10,000,000 EP.
Mythic was 1,000,000 EP.
Epic was 500,000 EP.
Legendary was 100,000.
Rare was 10,000.
And Uncommon, the lowest possible, was 1,000.
Although his heart was torn apart, he still wanted to check [Gems & Crystals], but just as he was about to do so, he heard a voice.
"Boss, how long are we going to wait here?" The voice was heavy and slightly gritty – a trait common among most combatant beastfolk.
"Shut up, Sabas! That bastard only took all of those missions to fuck us over!"
"But Zatra, it’s already evening. What if he just died to some beasts?"
"Grrr! Are you stupid? That guy had gone to the back on his very first day, and you are suggesting that he may have died at the hands of some beasts?!"
Alex slithered closer, and his gaze fell on two wolffolk, one black and the other white, wearing light leather armor.
Zatra, the black wolffolk, held a sword while Sabas, the white wolffolk, held a spear.
He jumped out of his shadow, took out [Sharp Dagger] from his inventory, and said in an amused voice, "It seems you have some business with me."
"GRRR!"
"Roar!"
