Limitless Evolution: Summoning Villains With My SSS-Rank Talent
Chapter 3: Starting Zone
Alex’s body disintegrated into blue and red static and reformed itself.
He breathed sharply and found himself at the center of a wide, emerald-green plain covered with shimmering grass, which faintly glowed under the bright sunlight.
[System: Player Alex, You have joined Starting Zone-070]
"What just happened? What’s an anomaly, and how did I obtain a system?!" Before he could even calm down, a soft and sweet voice cooed from behind.
"Cousin Alex~."
Alex put a hand on his head and turned toward the voice, which belonged to a young woman with auburn hair tied in a ponytail, sharp brown eyes, and a face that screamed beauty.
She was Rayna Howls, the daughter of his parents’ friends and his supposed cousin.
At the moment, she wore a simple light brown round neck tunic, dark pants with a brown sash around her waist, and black boots that fit her perfectly.
Everyone, even Alex, wore the same attire as it was the [Newbie Set].
"What do you want?" He asked coldly.
In the story, Rayna had always been jealous of Alex because of how much care her parents gave him, although she understood it was because he was their golden goose – she didn’t care and had cursed his academy life into a living hell.
As a beautiful young woman, she had many suitors who were ready to do anything for her... anything, and she had used them to endlessly bully Alex.
"Why are you being so cold?" She muttered with a confused expression, though her eyes gleamed like a sharp blade.
Alex’s eyes darted toward the players standing behind her, and a few of them seemed to be from Solace Academy.
To think she is doing this instead of focusing on saving her own life.
She placed a finger on her lower lip and asked with a tilted head. "Why aren’t you saying anything?"
"Ah!" Her eyes widened as if she had realized something, and she stated with a wide grin, "It seems you didn’t awaken a talent."
Why is she grinning like a third-rate villain?
Just awakening a talent didn’t make the Player better than others – the talent itself and how one used it mattered way more.
"You are just as pathetic as ever," Rayna stated and turned around.
She took a few steps and halted. "Don’t beat yourself, we were never meant to be equals."
With those final words, she grinned and continued toward her friends while giggling.
Alex didn’t say anything. He just stared at her back with a blank expression and thought,
She is something... the shamelessness to say all that while her talent only allows her to make cat noises must be hard to find...
Alex shook his head and mumbled inwardly, Status.
A system screen materialized before him.
[Player: Alex Blade (Anomaly)]
[Race: Human]
[Talent: Hall of Great Evils (SSS)]
[Level: 0 (0/200) (F)]
[Rank: Bronze V]
[Combat Value: 1.1]
Seeing his Combat Value, Alex gritted his teeth and muttered under his breath, "Alex had to go through all of that because of this stupid number."
Combat Value decided how strong a person was, and even a twelve-year-old had the value of 2.5, but for some odd reason, even after training as hard as he could, Alex’s Combat Value never increased, and when he went through a check-up, the doctors said that 1.1 must be his maximum limit.
Before that, the maximum limit only existed in theory, and because he was the only one who had a limit, he had earned the grandiose title of lowborn.
However, he hadn’t just proven one theory but two.
His gaze moved toward his talent, and his lips split into a wide demonic grin.
SSS-Rank talent was the second theory.
A purple screen with glowing white text and dark demonic frame materialized before him.
[Hall of Great Evils]
[Rank: SSS]
[Description: A separate dimension created by -Redacted- to trap the beings with immensely negative karma.
Effects:
• You can enter the Hall and its cells whenever you wish to.
• You cannot be physically harmed in the Hall.
• You can turn any of the evil into a summon upon their approval.
• You do not feel hunger or thirst within the Hall and its cells.
• The time within the Hall and its cells flows ten times faster than on your planet. (10 days in the Hall = 1 day on Zyandra.)]
He puffed his chest in pride and thought,
How am I supposed to call out to my system?
Just as he thought about it, screens flooded his vision.
[Evolution System is being initialized.]
[Initialization complete.]
[Host Alex, with the help of the Evolution System, you can absorb your defeated opponent to become a superior lifeform.]
[Each quest and kill awards you with Evo Points, which can be used to upgrade skills, affinities, purchase items from the Shop, and much more.]
[Those who have been defeated by you cannot go against your command.]
His status screen materialized by itself.
[Host: Alex Blade (Anomaly)]
[Race: Human]
[Talent: Hall of Great Evils (SSS)]
[Level: 0 (0/200) (F)]
[Rank: Bronze V]
[Combat Value: 4.1]
[Evo Points: 0]
[Skills: Mark of Subservience (S), Monarch’s Gluttony (S), Seed Of Evolution(S)]
The three S-rank skills instantly raised his Combat Value by 3, making him as strong as an average adult.
[Mark of Subservience]
[Rank: S]
[Description: Those who are marked must listen to your command.
Restriction: You cannot command the servant to harm themself unless they agree to it.]
[Monarch’s Gluttony]
[Rank: S]
[Description: Upon defeating a being, you can absorb its Evo Blueprint, talent, or vitality.
Restriction:
• If the opponent is greatly weaker than you, you would obtain Evo Points or Vitality.
• If you already have the same Evo Blueprint or talent, you would obtain Evo Points or Vitality.]
[Seed of Evolution]
[Rank: S]
[Description: Your Origin Spark can change indefinitely, allowing you to evolve without any limit.]
Alex blinked a few times and waved at the screen in a daze.
His hand went past the screen, and he mumbled, "There’s no way this is real..."
Multiple strong villains were imprisoned within the Hall of Great Evils, and even if he had their approval to turn them into summons, their pride and sick minds would only cause him trouble, but with the help of [Mark of Subservience], he could just mark all of them and create an army full of obedient monsters.
With [Monarch’s Gluttony] and [Seed of Evolution], he could obtain Evo Blueprints, which meant he could eventually become a dragon! A dragon!
"This is too broken," he whispered, and at the same time, a system screen materialized before him.
[System: Host Alex, you have received a minor quest.]
[Quest: Hunter I — Kill 10 Bronze (V - I) entities.]
[Reward: 1 Common Artifact loot box, 100 Experience, 100 Evo Points.]
[Time Limit: 12 hours.]
[Failure: Death.]
[Good luck.]
His gaze shifted toward the players.
Seems like they have also received the same quest.
Suddenly, blue sparks buzzed randomly across the Starting Zone and took the shape of crates, and a blue holographic dome blanketed them on all sides.
Alex instantly dashed toward the nearest one.
