Chapter 78: Montage and Report

Kira swiped her thumb across her tablet screen to pull up the academy’s internal forums. She wanted to see if any viewers and users had posted updates regarding the sudden administrative interest in the new students.

The digital homepage loaded instantly, filling her display with flashing red alert banners and trending hashtags. Almost every single top thread featured the exact same peculiar name.

"Who on earth is Solo Man?" Kira asked aloud, tilting the screen so the bright light reflected off the rover’s dashboard.

Marco leaned over from the passenger seat to peer at the digital text. He read the trending titles and rolled his eyes. "Solo Man sounds incredibly similar to Solomon. That is probably him right there."

"First-year students are banned from broadcasting until they finish their reading week," Jax pointed out from the driver’s seat. He kept his eyes locked on the highway traffic. "The system should outright reject any attempt to connect."

"Well, he definitely bypassed the restrictions," Kira replied, tapping the highest-rated thread to open a compiled video log.

A chaotic montage of recorded clips began playing across her tablet. The first few segments showcased Solomon acting completely unhinged during his broadcast.

They watched him brutally roast a hateful viewer in a dark stone corridor, actively threaten the Dungeon Regulatory Bureau regarding illegal mercenary work, and complain about unpaid academy uniforms while standing shirtless in a ruined arena.

Marco burst into laughter, slapping his hand against his knee. "This is absolutely insane. He just publicly admitted to doing undocumented mercenary work while officially enrolled in a private-funded school."

Kira swiped to the next set of trending videos. The comedic tone vanished entirely, quickly transitioning into high-speed combat footage. The camera drone tracked Solomon as he sprinted through a shifting labyrinth, deflecting hidden traps and crushing rusted skeletal soldiers.

The setting abruptly shifted to a traditional dungeon layout. They watched him effortlessly snap a demonic ape’s neck with his bare hands, shatter a giant stone golem, and brutally dismantle a towering minotaur using an incredibly oversized greatsword.

Jax stole a quick glance at the tablet. His knuckles turned white around the steering wheel. The physical output displayed on the tiny screen completely defied the logic of a supposed novice.

The compiled footage cut to a nighttime scene set inside a ruined, ancient city. Three cloaked figures stood beside Solomon. The camera briefly zoomed in on their faces as they lowered their hoods around a campfire.

Kira gasped sharply, nearly dropping her device onto the floorboards. "Those are World Rankers. That is Zoro, Miro, and Prince Vlad. They are literally the top executives of the Under the Dark Cloud guild."

"Why is a first-year student casually hanging out with the apex predators of the continent?" Marco asked, leaning closer until his nose almost touched the glass screen.

The video skipped forward, showing Solomon walking alone toward a sprawling plaza.

A massive legion of undead knights marched out of the darkness to block his path. Solomon completely ignored the safety provided by the World Rankers. He charged directly into the thousand-strong skeletal army.

He swung the massive greatsword with terrifying efficiency. He bypassed the thick iron armor of the enemies, reducing dozens of soldiers to ash with every single strike. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

As the battle dragged on, a brilliant white mist suddenly erupted from his pores. The glowing energy rapidly coated the entire length of his blade, amplifying his physical strikes into devastating waves of pure destruction.

"He actually awakened an aura," Jax whispered, his eyes widening at the bright flashes illuminating the tactical rover’s interior. "He is utilizing high-tier aura manipulation without any formal academy training."

Kira minimized the combat footage, her fingers trembling slightly as she scrolled down to the final trending topic on the forum boards. A blurry, corrupted image occupied the very top of the discussion thread.

The picture showcased a towering figure cutting off Solomon’s limbs and then destroying the owl, which resulted into the stream ending abruptly.

"Look at this one," Kira instructed, holding the tablet up for the boys to see. "The entire forum is currently losing their minds over a reported angel sighting within the dimensional fragment."

At the same time, the Grandmaster swiped his index finger across the glowing crystal tablet resting on his massive oak desk.

He read the decrypted background report submitted by the second-year team, furrowing his bushy brows as he scrolled past the mundane family details.

He genuinely lacked any idea of what he actually expected to find within the official civilian registry, yet the complete absence of combat lineage left him entirely bewildered.

He tapped his knuckles against the polished wood and let out a long sigh. "I did not find a single piece of useful information in this entire file," he muttered to the empty office.

The report outlined a completely ordinary suburban lifestyle. It mentioned a local diner, a quaint farming background, and a ridiculous childhood anecdote about outrunning an enraged bull. Absolutely nothing in the documentation explained how Solomon actually grew up or why the boy forced his body through such a destructive, mindless training regimen.

The Grandmaster questioned if the boy shattered his own physical limits just to force his dormant SSS-rank talent to awaken, or if an entirely different motive fueled the madness.

He swiped back to the family tree section and highlighted the name of the deceased older brother. The glowing letters of ’Jacob Ketzer’ reflected clearly in the old man’s pupils.

"This dead brother could easily be the missing link," the Grandmaster whispered, leaning back in his leather chair. "This tragedy is likely the exact reason why there is so little historical data on the boy himself."

He pondered if the parents were actively hiding something regarding the guild mission that took their firstborn.

He briefly considered sending a covert intelligence expert down to the commercial district to tail the family and gather more classified information.

He quickly tapped the screen to dismiss the thought entirely. Prying into grieving civilians might cause unnecessary legal friction, especially when the primary subject was already safely contained within the academy grounds.

"I will just ask Solomon myself," the Grandmaster concluded aloud, tossing the crystal tablet onto his desk. "When he finally wakes up again."

He reached across his workspace and pressed his thumb against a silver communication rune. The magic flared instantly, connecting him directly to the academy’s secure medical wing.

"Has the boy opened his eyes yet?" the Grandmaster asked the speaker.

"No, sir," the head healer’s voice crackled through the rune. "He remains entirely unconscious. We ran another full diagnostic scan an hour ago. His physical condition is excellent, and all of his vitals, blood panels, and core readings came back perfectly normal. We have absolutely no medical explanation as to why he refuses to wake up."
