"Everyone, prepare for battle, there’s a Fierce Beast up ahead." As he spoke, two military daggers appeared in front of them.

The others immediately drew their own military daggers.

After all, they hadn’t mastered the art of Telekinesis yet and could only rely on their physical strength to attack.

It was just one, so they weren’t overly worried.

After all, Xu Yi had said he could hunt one on his own.

When they approached, they saw the body of a Fierce Beast had been pierced by over a dozen vines.

"Killing Melon." Lu Ke exclaimed, as three Killing Melons were attacking the Fierce Beast.

"Killing Melons feed on Fierce Beasts, this is terrifying, isn’t it?" Zhou Mo’s face was slightly pale, finding these Killing Melons even more frightening.

"We encountered a type of creature known as the Illusionary Flower Beast before, which was even more terrifying. It could make you hallucinate and lure you in. It also had vines and would consume creatures." Lu Ke recalled the Illusionary Flower Beast with lingering fear. She thought Xu Yi must have awakened his Spiritual Power back then, otherwise, he couldn’t have remained sober.

"That terrible?" Qin Chao was quite shocked, thinking that if he and Qin Fan encountered an Illusionary Flower Beast, they would likely end up as fertilizer without a doubt.

"It’s indeed quite terrifying," Xu Yi commented, pulling out his machete.

Then, he used his Spiritual Power to control the machete to fly out.

These Killing Melons were relatively easy to deal with; once you cut off their poisonous vines, they lose their attack power.

Their main advantage was stealth, as Fate Beasts rarely perceived them as dangerous, so they would approach and get attacked. Once attacked, they would be poisoned and die instantly. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

If you could recognize them, they were actually quite easy to deal with.

Xu Yi’s machete was very sharp, so he easily severed all the vines.

"Four Brain Crystals, we have four Brain Crystals now," Lu Ke said excitedly and then followed Xu Yi.

Soon, they dug out the Killing Melons.

Each Killing Melon weighed forty to fifty pounds. After extracting their Brain Crystals, Xu Yi and the others collected the Killing Melons.

The Fierce Beast was already shriveled, so Lu Ke extracted the Brain Crystal from it.

Everyone gave these Brain Crystals to Xu Yi, but he didn’t take them.

After all, he didn’t need Brain Crystals to have the ability to hunt Fierce Beasts.

So, Xu Yi distributed the Brain Crystals to Lu Ke, Qin Fan, Lu Yao, and Zhou Chun, one each.

"Xu Yi, should we peel off this Fierce Beast’s scale skin?" Lu Ke glanced at the Fierce Beast’s corpse, asking. Previously, their crafted Black Scale Soft Armor provided significant Defense Power.

"No need, these don’t compare to Black Scale Soft Armor," Xu Yi said, pulling out the Black Scale Soft Armor, which Lu Ke had painstakingly crafted.

"You still have it, I thought you might have thrown it away," Lu Ke exclaimed. However, the Black Scale Soft Armor now provided little protection, as Fierce Beasts could easily tear it apart.

They had seen someone wearing Black Scale Soft Armor get torn apart.

"Do you still want to wear it? If not, just toss it." Xu Yi tried infusing it with Telekinesis, but it didn’t increase its Defense Power.

"No, the clothes we’re wearing now are more comfortable," Lu Ke said, deciding it was pointless to wear it since it offered no protection.

Another thing was, she noticed she had grown taller and gained weight, so she probably couldn’t fit into it anymore.

Xu Yi nodded, then threw away the two sets of Black Scale Soft Armor.

They continued on their journey.

After obtaining four Brain Crystals, they felt more at ease.

In the future, even if they encountered four or five Fierce Beasts, they wouldn’t panic.

Though they couldn’t say for sure, each person with a Brain Crystal could at least handle one Fierce Beast, right?

It soon reached noon, so they stopped to rest.

They still had some Fierce Beast Meat stored in the Desert, so they started cooking.

After lunch and a short break, they continued walking southward.

Even while traveling, they didn’t give up training.

At least, Qin Fan and the others practiced controlling their military daggers with Telekinesis while on the move.

Although this slowed them down, they had no specific destination and just needed to keep moving toward the forest, so speed wasn’t a concern.

"Chicken, such a big chicken," Qin Yue suddenly pointed and shouted into the distance.

Indeed, there were several Fierce Beasts resembling chickens, but their bodies were covered in scales, frolicking around.

Their scales were colorful, looking very beautiful.

"They look like chickens, but they’re so large, over a meter high, right?" Lu Ke said in surprise, looking at the four chicken-like Fierce Beasts in the distance.

"Indeed, bigger than a turkey," Wang Jin nodded vigorously, then heard Lu Ke say the same.

"I wonder if they taste good or have a chicken flavor; it’s been a long time since we’ve had chicken," Lu Ke remarked.

"I think it’d be a waste to eat them; it would be best if we could tame them," Lu Yao observed the Fierce Beasts, thinking their size could make them suitable as mounts.

"Have you heard of a chicken called the Brahma Chicken, also known as Brahma Chicken? It’s a large breed of chicken, with some growing up to 1.2 meters and weighing tens of pounds. But the ones opposite are even larger. Brahma Chickens are mainly feather bulked, but these Fierce Beast Chickens have actual mass, weighing at least a hundred pounds. They could indeed be used as mounts," Qin Fan remarked, a wooden stick in his mouth, observing the Fierce Beast Chickens.

"Is there such a chicken? Is it delicious?" Lu Ke was curious, having never heard of such large chickens.

"They taste good, better than turkey. They used to be a major meat source in the United States but became pets due to their long growth cycle," Qin Fan smiled, knowing Lu Ke enjoyed various foods.

"Learned something new; I didn’t know such large chickens existed," Xu Yi said upon hearing about the giant chickens for the first time.

The others nodded in agreement; it was also their first time hearing about it.

"So, shall we try to capture and tame them?" Lu Ke asked Xu Yi, holding up her Brain Crystal.

Capturing is much harder than hunting.

"Let’s give it a try. If we can capture them, great; if not, then oh well. Taming isn’t easy," Xu Yi responded. Although he could use the Thunder Strike Gun, it consumed too much of his Spiritual Power, and he preferred to avoid using it unless absolutely necessary.
