Living With My Yandere Professor
Chapter 72: You Can Call Me Daddy
Andrew finished his breakfast in two or three gulps and proactively started clearing the dining table.
But when he walked into the kitchen, he was completely stunned. Not only was it a complete mess, but the original white stainless steel pot had turned black.
Did the kitchen go through World War II?
Scarlett also noticed Andrew’s reaction and said somewhat awkwardly, "Um, I tried learning a few dishes yesterday, but I didn’t do well, so the kitchen is a bit messy."
"It’s fine, I’ll clean it up."
While Andrew was cleaning the kitchen, Scarlett quickly finished her breakfast and helped wash up too.
She couldn’t bear to let Andrew do it all by himself.
After finishing cleaning the kitchen, Andrew asked Scarlett, "Scar, are you free today?"
"Speak."
"I want you to accompany me to find my sister. I have something to discuss with her."
"Then why don’t you go alone? What would I go for?"
If Andrew was going out to meet someone, Scarlett would definitely go with him, but since the other person was Andrew’s biological sister, she didn’t see much necessity in going.
Seeing this, Andrew could only explain with a grin, "Well, didn’t I play a prank on my sister the day before yesterday? She probably wants to kill me now, and she’s a bit of a psycho, so I’m a little scared."
"..."
Scarlett looked at Andrew speechlessly: They really are a ’loving’ pair of siblings.
"Fine, I’ll go with you, but you have to teach me how to cook."
"Okay!"
With Scarlett accompanying him, Andrew was immediately fearless. He directly called his Older Sister, Catherine, "Sister, it was my fault last time. I’ll treat you to your favorite durian at a fruit stand."
"Great! I love eating durian the most! I’ll make sure my Little Drew eats a little more too!"
The sickly sweet tone and gritted teeth on the other end of the phone made Andrew shiver all over. After telling her the meeting location, he quickly hung up.
It was a good thing he had Professor Scarlett protecting him; otherwise, to meet Catherine, Andrew would need to wear military-grade bomb disposal gear plus a riot shield.
—
Afternoon.
Catherine had already figured out how to get revenge on Andrew, but when she saw Scarlett accompanying him, she had to suppress her anger and return to normal.
’Damn it!!!’
’This guy is actually hiding behind Professor Scarlett, it’s infuriating!!!’
"Hehe, Older Sister, I’m sorry. I’ll treat you to durian as an apology."
"Heh! Heh!" Catherine let out two cold laughs and rolled her eyes at Andrew.
Then she looked at Scarlett and said respectfully, "Professor Scarlett, My Younger Brother is full of mischief. If he does anything dishonest, please discipline him properly."
"I think Andrew is quite good, quite obedient."
Catherine was so shocked her mouth dropped open, ’No way! Professor Scarlett is actually taking Andrew’s side!’
’Didn’t Mom say Professor Scarlett has a rather cold personality? How did My Younger Brother manage to change Professor Scarlett like this?’
Seeing his Older Sister’s astonished look, Andrew couldn’t help but feel smug, ’Hehe, you still want to sow discord between me and Scarlett? Sister, you’re still too naive. The bond between Scarlett and me isn’t something you can break with a few words.’
"I’m going to buy fruit. Professor, what would you like?" Andrew stood up and asked Scarlett.
"I’ll have durian too. Just buy one."
Catherine hadn’t even recovered from her shock; she hadn’t heard the conversation between the two.
She knew her younger brother was handsome with delicate features, but a woman like Professor Scarlett shouldn’t be manipulated so easily.
’What exactly have these two been doing in private? Have they already thought about what to name their children?’
Andrew bought a durian from the fruit stall owner and then went back to sit next to Scarlett.
Catherine looked at the durian with only a small cut made in it and said somewhat dissatisfied, "Why didn’t you ask the owner to cut it open for us directly?"
"You didn’t say so, and I don’t eat this thing anyway. I thought just making an opening was enough to eat."
To Andrew, the smell of durian was overwhelmingly strong. In the past, whenever Catherine ate it, he would make her eat outside.
"Forget it, I’ll go ask the owner to cut it open."
Just as Catherine was about to take the durian to the fruit stall owner, Scarlett reached out and took the durian, "I’ll do it. Stop passing it back and forth."
After speaking, Scarlett used both hands to exert force and, much to the astonishment of the two, she directly broke the durian open with her bare hands.
"There."
Scarlett casually let go of her hands and popped a small piece of durian into her mouth, as if it were just a trivial matter for her.
’Holy crap! She could probably twist off someone’s skull like that!’
This was the first time Andrew had a concrete understanding of Scarlett’s combat strength.
At the same time, he felt fortunate that he hadn’t angered Scarlett much, otherwise, the grass on his grave would probably be several meters high.
Catherine was equally shocked, ’Professor Scarlett is too fierce! Can my little brother handle it?’
’What a pity. If my little brother were a submissive type, he would surely have enjoyed it immensely.’
Both girls were eating the durian, but Andrew was almost suffocated by the smell. He quickly stated the reason he had come to find Catherine.
"Sister, help me promote my app and website at your school. Just post it on your school’s confession wall, forum, or something."
Catherine was the undisputed campus belle of the Medical University. With her promoting it, the news would spread quickly. Andrew’s current goal was to spread ’Luna’ throughout this university town to form a circle.
"Fine, but you still haven’t made up for making me drink bitter gourd juice."
"I know, I’ll buy you another Crazy Thursday meal, okay?"
"Two meals."
"Okay, okay." Andrew nodded repeatedly. He was nearly suffocated by the durian and just wanted to leave.
But when they were parting, Catherine saw that Scarlett also liked eating durian, so she gave her half.
This made Andrew feel like dying: It’s over, the whole room is going to smell like durian.
Back inside, Andrew was about to dash into the bedroom to escape the durian smell, but as soon as he took a step, Scarlett called him back.
"Why are you rushing back to your room? Aren’t you going to teach me how to cook if you don’t agree?"
"It’s only a little past two in the afternoon now. I’ll teach you tonight; I’m a bit sleepy and want to sleep."
"You slept for such a long time yesterday, and you’re still sleepy?" Scarlett raised an eyebrow looking at him.
"Uh..."
Just as Andrew was figuring out how to answer, Scarlett continued, "Come here first and answer a few of my questions. I followed an online tutorial yesterday, but I messed it up. Tell me what went wrong."
Helplessly, Andrew had to endure the stench of durian and sit next to Scarlett to explain things for her.
Scarlett showed Andrew the tutorial she watched and also explained to him how she cooked.
Andrew listened while covering his nose, explaining where Scarlett had gone wrong, and simultaneously telling her that many online tutorials overcomplicated things; cooking didn’t need to be that troublesome.
"So that’s how it is."
"And some of those online tutorials are nonsense, and the effect pictures are all beautified. How can a normal person make food look as beautiful as a state banquet chef’s plating?"
"Oh, but why are you covering your nose?" Scarlett looked at Andrew doubtfully.
"It’s nothing, my nose is just a little itchy," Andrew lied casually.
He couldn’t say that he found the durian too smelly and ruined Professor Scarlett’s mood for eating, since Professor Scarlett liked durian.
But Scarlett immediately realized, "You think the durian smells bad, don’t you?"
"Mmm..." Andrew hummed hesitantly.
Upon hearing this, Scarlett took a small piece of durian and offered it to Andrew’s mouth, "Try it. durian is delicious. Once you eat it, you won’t think it smells bad anymore."
Suzanne used to think durian smelled bad too and wouldn’t eat it, but after tasting a bite under her persuasion, Suzanne fell in love with durian and now hoards it at home.
But Andrew looked at the durian Scarlett offered him as if he saw poison, shaking his head repeatedly and leaning backward.
"You should eat it, Scar. It’s only half a durian; I won’t fight you for it anymore."
"Just try it, the taste is really good..."
Andrew still shook his head, thinking: It smells this bad; forget eating it, it’ll be good enough if I don’t throw up.
If it were someone else resisting this much, Scarlett certainly wouldn’t continue persuading them—eat it or don’t. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
But Andrew’s refusal made her feel that he didn’t trust her enough, especially since she was willing to try spicy food for him.
"Yesterday you even asked me to try spicy crayfish, and I tried it. Why are you unwilling to listen to me and try this? Are you afraid I’ll harm you?"
Scarlett stared at Andrew, her tone becoming a little colder.
But Andrew still covered his mouth, shaking his head and explaining, "No, Scar, I just think durian smells bad, and it’s a bit hard to accept."
Seeing Andrew firmly shaking his head while covering his mouth, Scarlett knew coercion wouldn’t work, so she had to resort to temptation.
Scarlett held up a small piece of durian and said to Andrew, "If you eat this durian, I’ll let you play with me, and call whatever you want."
"Really?!" Andrew instantly took his hands away, no longer afraid of the smell.
"Really." As soon as Scarlett finished speaking, Andrew popped the durian in her hand into his mouth.
His expression was one of agony at first, but it soon relaxed, "It actually tastes pretty good!"
Scarlett gave him a sidelong glance with annoyance, "I was kindly offering you something to eat, and you made it sound like I was trying to harm you."
"Hey hey, it’s mainly because I can’t get used to the smell of durian," Andrew replied with a grin, then leaned close to Scarlett and asked cautiously, "Then what you just said, Scar... hehe. You can call me daddy, right.. hehe."
Scarlett rolled her eyes at him. But she nodded. "After you teach me how to cook."
Andrew nodded, while opening his mouth to eat the durian she brought to his lips. ’Ah~~~ Life is but this much.’
