Living With My Yandere Professor
Chapter 78: Hungry, But Can’t Reveal
"From now on, if you have no classes during the day, report to my office. At night, no romance, only study when you get home. I will require you to memorize a certain number of words and notes every day."
Scarlett issued an unquestionable command to Andrew.
"Yes." Andrew replied seriously, which finally made Scarlett calm down a little.
"That’s more like it. Stop always being so flippant. If you fail the next test again, I will show your sister the video of you smiling foolishly while hugging a pillow and the notes where you said your Older Sister was mentally unstable. Don’t expect me to cover for you."
Listening to Scarlett’s stern warning, the worry in Andrew’s heart finally settled completely. Now he really had no choice but to study.
’What a beautiful but heartless woman! Professor Scarlett would definitely be a character on the level of Miranda Priestly in a drama.’ (If you don’t understand the reference, just search for the name.)
Everything has two sides. Thinking about the positive aspect, Andrew could now freely go to Professor Scarlett’s office, and anything could happen there. He has also watched master Johnny few experimental videos.
"Then what about dinner, Scar?" Andrew asked quietly.
"I’m not eating! Take your notes and textbooks and come to study first."
Scarlett glared coldly at Andrew, then walked barefoot into the study alone.
She was already so angry that her whole body felt hot; she had no appetite for food at all.
Sitting on the chair in the study, Scarlett sighed indignantly, "One truly cannot indulge children too much. I must have spoiled this Little Thing recently. I need to be stricter."
A moment later, Andrew arrived at the study with his notes and textbooks.
Scarlett flipped through Andrew’s notes and confirmed that he had only taken diligent notes during the first few classes after the semester started.
The rest were either illegible scribbles or completely blank, which made Scarlett so angry she bit her lip hard.
Then, she took out her own textbook and placed it in front of Andrew.
"First, rewrite and complete these notes for me, and make your handwriting clearer. What you wrote later looks like a Martian script, who can understand that?"
"Okay." Andrew picked up his pen and diligently copied the notes, not daring to utter a single extra word.
The current Scarlett was exactly the same as when she substituted for his classes in high school: serious, cold, no, even a bit fiercer.
Last year, Scarlett wouldn’t have stared at Andrew so intensely.
However, Andrew wasn’t as scared as before. He now knew that Professor Scarlett was actually very gentle and kind inside; since he already experienced, being so fierce now was his own fault.
The room was utterly silent, broken only by the rustling sound of Andrew’s pen as he copied.
Scarlett did nothing either, just stared and supervised him.
Andrew copied for an hour until his hand ached, but more than half the notes still needed to be written.
This gave him the painful feeling of returning to the days of reviewing for high school exams.
"Scar, can I rest for a while?"
"Then first memorize the notes you’ve written so far. That will give your hand a rest."
"Can’t I rest my whole body for a bit?"
"No."
"Then I need to go to the restroom."
"Hold it."
"..." Andrew had nothing to say and could only continue copying.
Scarlett had seen the whole process of him fooling Mark Vane and his Older Sister earlier. Now Scarlett suspected he was lying, and only allowed him to go to the restroom when she thought he genuinely couldn’t hold it in anymore.
He copied until it was dark before finally finishing all the overdue notes. Only then did Scarlett permit him to use the restroom.
By the time he returned to the study, he was both hungry and tired, exhausted mentally and physically, as if he had been completely drained.
Scarlett, meanwhile, took Andrew’s test paper and reviewed it carefully again, sighing irritably a few times during the process.
"Scar, what do you want for dinner?"
"You eat whatever you want. I’m not eating," Scarlett replied coldly, without even turning to look at Andrew.
She was already too angry to have an appetite.
Seeing this, Andrew had no choice but to leave the study first and return to the living room.
He had originally planned to order takeout for convenience, but after looking for a long time, he didn’t know what he wanted to eat.
When he looked up, his gaze happened to fall upon Scarlett writing in the study.
"Scar clearly loves eating; she can’t possibly not be hungry. She must just be too angry."
"Maybe I should cook something delicious. It would be a good way to apologize to Scar and calm her down."
Andrew couldn’t think of any other way to please Scarlett. Besides food, she seemed to have no other hobbies.
Just as he was thinking about what to make, Andrew opened the refrigerator.
Good heavens, it was cleaner than his face! There were only eggs and cold rice, not even a single tomato.
"How could I forget? I haven’t been eating at home these past few days. Scar threw out all the spoiled vegetables this morning."
Andrew covered his forehead, feeling a headache coming on.
If he went out to buy ingredients and came back to cook now, Professor Scarlett would probably starve to death. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Ordering takeout wouldn’t work either. Professor Scarlett didn’t like food with too much seasoning, and apologizing with takeout seemed insincere.
"How about egg fried rice? Even if Professor Scarlett doesn’t eat it, I’ll eat it myself. If I don’t eat soon, I’ll starve to death."
Andrew took out the cold rice and eggs from the refrigerator and fried a portion of egg fried rice.
To prevent it from being too plain, Andrew sprinkled some chopped scallions on top to add fragrance.
After it was done, Andrew tasted a bite, "The flavor is acceptable, but egg fried rice is such a cheap dish. Will Professor Scarlett look down on it? After all, Professor Scarlett is a rich woman from the capital."
"I’ll give it a try."
Andrew quietly walked into the study and sat next to Scarlett. She was seriously writing annotations on the incorrect answers from his test.
Suddenly, a fragrant aroma drifted into Scarlett’s nostrils, causing her to involuntarily swallow.
She turned her head to see Andrew holding a small bowl of egg fried rice, looking at her with a sincere expression, "Scar, why don’t you have a bite? You’ll starve if you don’t eat."
Scarlett looked at the fragrant egg fried rice; her thin, pale lips were already slightly parted, and her right hand holding the red pen was about to loosen.
But in the next moment, Scarlett seemed to make a firm decision, turning her head away. She gripped the red pen tightly in her hand and replied coldly with two words, "I won’t eat."
She couldn’t forgive this Little Fellow so easily, or he would continue to be disobedient in the future. This time, she must make him remember the lesson.
Scarlett thought to herself.
Seeing this, Andrew wasn’t surprised and continued to persuade her, "Scar, I was wrong. I will listen carefully in class from now on."
"..."
Scarlett bit her lip and remained silent, gripping the red pen even tighter.
Andrew added, "Regardless, Scar, you still need to eat dinner. Health is the foundation of revolution. If you starve, you won’t be able to supervise me."
"..."
Scarlett still didn’t speak; both of her hands were clenched into fists, and she even closed her eyes.
’What should I do? I’m really hungry. I really want to eat it. This Little Fellow deliberately made the egg fried rice so fragrant. How can I resist it?
But if I eat it, it means I forgive him. If I cool down so easily, will he still make mistakes in the future?’
Just as Scarlett was struggling, Andrew thought she genuinely didn’t want to eat and stood up, preparing to leave.
Hearing the movement, Scarlett immediately turned to look. Seeing Andrew walking away with the egg fried rice, her face showed reluctance: ’Is he really leaving?"
’Forget it! Let him go! It means I don’t have to forgive him! Let him learn his lesson; I’m not that easy to placate.’ Scarlett pouted and turned back, sulking again.
Just as Andrew reached the doorway of the study, a sound broke the silence.
"Grumble~~~"
Turning around, he saw Scarlett, who was still buried in her work with a pen in hand, completely motionless, but her cheeks were visibly reddening at an observable speed.
