Chapter 89: New Workshop

Dear Readers, you might find this a bit boring, so please bear with me. I’m currently focused on some important work, so I’m unable to give full attention here.

Also, with the low support today, I’m starting to feel like stopping this novel. It’s one of my better works, and I really don’t want to drop it, but that’s only possible with your support, guys.

The next morning, Andrew headed to college with a noticeable spring in his step. The successful meeting with Elena Hayes and the signed sponsorship still had him buzzing with excitement.

As soon as he entered the classroom, his friends Ethan and Tony waved him over enthusiastically.

"Andy! Over here!" Ethan called.

Andrew joined them at their usual back-row seats. Tony was already sprawled lazily with his notebook open but clearly not studying.

"Dude, you look way too happy for a Monday," Tony teased. "Did you finally get laid or something?"

Andrew nearly choked. "Shut up. I just had a good meeting yesterday, that’s all."

Ethan raised an eyebrow. "Meeting? About what?"

Andrew shrugged casually. "Just some personal stuff. Nothing important."

Before they could press him further, the professor entered and the class began. For the next hour, they tried (and mostly failed) to focus on the lecture. Tony kept whispering jokes, while Ethan occasionally asked Andrew random questions. Andrew spent most of the class half-listening, his mind still occupied with thoughts of the new workshop.

After the lecture ended, the three of them stayed behind to quickly review some notes together.

As they were packing up, Lucy approached their group with a bright, slightly nervous smile.

"Andrew," she called softly.

His friends immediately went quiet, exchanging curious glances.

"Hey Lucy," Andrew greeted politely.

Lucy glanced at Ethan and Tony for a second before focusing on Andrew.

"Mom told me the new workshop is ready," she said, her voice gentle. "The office and lab space near our house. Everything is set up — computers, servers, testing equipment, even a small meeting room. You can go check it out after school today if you want. I can take you there."

Andrew’s eyes lit up. "Really? That’s fast."

Lucy nodded, blushing slightly. "Mom said there’s no point in delaying. She wants you to start working comfortably as soon as possible."

Ethan and Tony were openly staring now, clearly sensing something interesting was happening.

Andrew smiled gratefully. "Thank you, Lucy. I’ll message you after the last class. I’d love to see it today."

"Great," Lucy replied, looking genuinely happy. "I’ll wait for your message."

She gave him one last shy smile before walking away.

The moment she left, Tony whistled. "Bro... What the hell was that? Since when is the campus beauty personally offering you a private workshop?"

Andrew just laughed awkwardly and shook his head. "It’s not like that."

For the rest of the class, Andrew found it almost impossible to focus. His mind kept drifting back to the new workshop. A proper office and lab space something he had only dreamed about until now.

He kept imagining what the place would look like, how much faster they could work, and how professional it would feel.

Unable to wait any longer, he quietly took out his phone under the desk and sent a message to Mark Vane.

[Andrew: Mark, big news. We just got a proper workshop + office space. Come after classes today. I’ll send you the location.]

He quickly forwarded the address Lucy had given him, then put his phone away and tried to concentrate on the lecture.

As soon as the final class ended, Andrew met up with Mark, Gary, and Hannah near the college gate.

The three of them looked at him with puzzled expressions.

Mark was the first to speak, holding up his phone. "Boss, what the hell is this message? You suddenly got a workshop? Are you serious?"

Gary, who was standing beside Mark, blinked in confusion. "Wait, for real? Like an actual office?"

Hannah pushed up her large square-rimmed glasses, her eyes wide with disbelief. "Andrew... you’re not joking, right? We were literally working from Mark’s cramped dorm room just a few days ago."

Andrew smiled, unable to hide his excitement. "It’s real. I got a sponsorship deal yesterday. They liked Luna and decided to invest. They’ve already set up a proper workspace for us, computers, equipment, meeting room, everything."

The three of them stared at him in stunned silence for a few seconds.

Mark’s mouth hung open. "No fucking way... You actually got us a real office?"

Gary looked like someone had hit him with a brick. "Bro... I thought we’d be stuck coding in that tiny room until we graduated. This feels unreal."

Hannah, usually the calmest of the group, was visibly shocked. "This is... amazing. I can’t believe it. How did you even manage to get a sponsor so quickly?"

Andrew rubbed the back of his neck a little awkwardly. "It’s a long story. I’ll explain everything on the way. Let’s go check it out first. Lucy is waiting to show us the place."

The three of them exchanged excited, disbelieving glances as they followed Andrew toward the destination.

As they were talking, Lucy walked over with a gentle smile.

"Hi Andrew," she greeted, then nodded politely at the others. "These must be your team members?"

"Yeah," Andrew replied. "This is Mark, Gary, and Hannah. Guys, this is Lucy."

Mark, Gary, and Hannah greeted her somewhat awkwardly, still processing everything.

Lucy smiled warmly. "Nice to meet all of you. My mom asked me to show you the new workshop. Shall we go?"

The group followed Lucy to a waiting car. During the short ride, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and nervous chatter. Mark kept asking questions, while Gary looked like he was dreaming. Hannah remained relatively quiet but clearly thrilled.

When the car stopped in front of a modern, sleek office building in a good neighborhood, all three teammates fell silent.

Lucy led them inside, used her access card for the elevator, and took them to the 12th floor. She opened the door to a spacious, newly furnished workspace.

The moment they stepped inside, Mark, Gary, and Hannah froze.

It was perfect.

A bright, open-plan office with multiple high-end computers and large monitors, ergonomic chairs, a dedicated testing area with various devices, a small meeting room, and even a pantry corner stocked with snacks and drinks. The entire place looked professional, clean, and ready for serious work.

Mark’s jaw dropped. "This... this is ours?"

Gary walked in slowly, touching one of the desks as if it might disappear. "Bro... we were literally coding on a broken table in a dorm two days ago. Now this?"

Hannah adjusted her glasses, eyes wide with awe. "It’s better than the college lab... The equipment is insane."

Lucy smiled softly, watching their reactions. "Mom wanted Andrew and his team to have a proper place to work. Everything here is set up for Luna’s development."

Andrew stood beside her, feeling a surge of pride as he watched his teammates’ shocked and emotional faces.

Mark turned to Andrew, voice full of disbelief and gratitude. "Boss... you actually did it. You really got us a real office."

Gary looked like he was about to cry happy tears. "I can’t believe this is happening."

Hannah gave Andrew a rare, genuine smile. "Thank you. This changes everything."

Andrew rubbed the back of his neck, smiling awkwardly. "It’s not just me. We all worked hard on Luna. This is our new home base from now on."

Lucy watched the scene quietly, a soft smile appeared on her face. She was happy to see Andrew’s team so excited.
