Scorch guessed Ye Liuyun’s plan and smugly told Lei Ming, "The Master is attempting to spark the interest of the Beast King, entice him in, conquer him, and then dominate the entire Beast tribe!"

Ye Liuyun tried to stop her from saying what she shouldn’t, but it was too late for him to.

"You think you’re clever, huh?," he telepathically scolded Scorch. "Do you think you should be spreading news here? Don’t you know how many ears are listening?"

He then promptly commanded Ye Tiandao and his group of Demon, "Kill everyone in the lair, except our people! Then let Scorch clean up the corpses herself."

It was clear to everyone that Scorch’s revelation of their secrets had devastated Ye Liuyun.

Scorch apologised again and over again, out of guilt.

Ye Liuyun warned Lei Ming, "If there are things you need clarification on, ask me via telepathic voice transmission. It’s too crowded here and anyone could be a spy!"

"All right!" Reluctantly agreeing, Lei Ming bemoaned being caught up in this situation.

Ye Liuyun also called the members of the Tiger Mercenary team to his side to prevent them from being mistakenly killed.

Upon receiving the order, Ye Tiandao and his Demon Beasts instantly sprung into action.

Wu Qingcheng asked Ye Liuyun, "Is this necessary?" in an attempt to convince him.

Yes, it is! as information is already being spread by someone." Ye Liuyun answered icily. "Take a look for yourself!"

"Aah, Aah!"

Two excruciating cries suddenly shot within the fortress. Two martial practitioners, with a hole punctured through their chests, died in anguish scream.

A clone, cloaked in Concealcape, quietly put away the magic mantis.

Ye Liuyun and his clone had been observing the actions of the martial practitioners in the mountain fortress as soon as Scorch spoke.

People from this stronghold would have been exchanging information with the Beast Tribe in the past because of its proximity to them.

Wu Qingcheng led her people over to check it out. They found two martial practitioners holding Sound Transmission Talisman, obviously transmitting messages.

Instantly, cries for battle erupted in the whole fortress.

Ye Liuyun released two hundred more members of the Blade Legion to prevent anyone from fleeing the place.

"What’s going on?" Every member of Ye Liuyun’s Tiger Mercenary was confused.

"There are spies sending information to the Beast Tribe." Ye Liuyun explained.

"Are all these people spies?" Bucktooth asked Ye Liuyun with a puzzled expression.

Ye Liuyun answered with another question, "Do you think you could check every single one of them when it is so crowded?"

Many of them understood when they heard this that Ye Liuyun would rather kill a thousand innocents than have one slip away.

"Of course, I can’t check everyone!" Bucktooth finally understood the point of Ye Liuyun’s words.

"The news would have been out by the time you find it out," Ye Liuyun sighed as she nodded.

Cao Meng was amazed that Ye Liuyun was accompanied by so many people, all of whom were at least an intermediate fourth level.

Gazing at Ye Liuyun’s Interspatial Ring, he couldn’t help but marvel at how his Interspatial space could hold so many men.

Ye Liuyun had no other choice. His men from the Blade Legion were all at least at the intermediate fourth level. He had already chosen soldiers with the lowest realm.

He noticed Cao Meng’s stare. However, since Cao Meng had not figured anything out, he didn’t feel the need to explain.

The battle within the fortress soon ended. Ye Liuyun decided to leave the soldiers outside to replace the original soldiers of the fortress.

As for Scorch who was clearing the battlefield all by herself, nobody dared to help her because they knew it was Ye Liuyun’s punishment for her.

Given the trouble she had caused, this could be considered a light punishment. Once Scorch had finished cleaning up the battlefield and handed over the Interspatial Ring to Ye Liuyun, she apologised to him.

"You, this should never happen again! Everyone, please take this as a warning!" After warning them, Ye Liuyun and his clone left the fortress to observe the situation of the Demi Beast tribe.

Because he was unsure whether the message had successfully been transmitted by the spies, he knew his original plan had been disrupted and was forced into a defensive strategy.

It would be problematic if the enemies exploited the circumstances and set up an ambush. Hence, he had to observe the situation extremely carefully.

Only when Ye Liuyun left did the others dare to comfort Scorch.

"What is Ye Liuyun doing now?" Lei Ming asked everyone.

Everybody looked at her with a perplexed gaze.

No one truly understood what Ye Liuyun meant by ’taking this as a warning’. Even if they did, they would not dare tell her.

"Hm?" Lei Ming didn’t understand why everyone was staring at her.

"Ye Liuyun had just said ’take this as a warning’. Have you already forgotten?" Wu Qingcheng reminded Lei Ming.

Lei Ming cheekily stuck out her tongue, not daring to ask further.

Wu Qingcheng warned everyone, "We should all learn from Ye Tiandao, work more and talk less! This is the border battlefield with immense chaos. We should be more careful!"

"Wu Qingcheng, do you think the master will ignore me from now on?" Scorch expressed her concerns.

Lei Ming saw this and attempted to joke a little to lighten everyone’s mood, "How do you want your master to treat you?"

"I’m not like you, always thinking of climbing into his bed!" Scorch retorted immediately.

Everyone quickly got back to their regular giggly mood and chit-chatting.

But when it came to topics of a serious nature, they either spoke through voice transmissions or remained silent.

Due to a single mistaken sentence from Scorch, two or three hundred people’s lives were lost. Everyone was rather upset about it.

However, Scorch was even more upset by it. She was more concerned about causing trouble for Ye Liuyun than the sacrificed lives.

She had guessed Ye Liuyun was undoubtedly troubled by how to approach the impending conflict. He must have gone out to scout for information.

Ye Liuyun did not return despite everyone waiting till late at night. Hence, they all went back to rest.

A shadow quietly slipped out of the dwelling, followed by a second, then a third. But before the three shadows could get near to the camp gate, a fiery Vermilion Bird illuminated their presence from the sky.

The one in the lead was Scorch, followed by Lei Ming, and then Dragon Lady.

The three of them realized they had been exposed and stood dumbfounded on the spot.

"Go back, and don’t cause trouble for the master!" Ye Tiandao’s voice echoed in the dark.

"D*mn bird, I will freeze you one day!" Lei Ming cursed at the Vermilion Bird and reluctantly dragged Dragon Lady back with him.

Huowu could only return, blaming Lei Ming and Dragon Lady, "Why did you two have to follow me?"

At this point, Vermilion Bird was also being recalled into the Spatial World by Ye Tiandao.

"I knew you meant to help Ye Liuyun, but you’re too weak. So, I wanted to help you!" Lei Ming stated confidently.

"Why are you following me?" Lei Ming then asked the Dragon Lady.

Dragon Lady explained, "You both were the most argumentative in the afternoon! You two were in such a state of sorrow that I felt that I should help or at least accompany."

"It would be better with less of us," Lei Ming murmured in a state of impotence. "With so many of us, we are bound to be found out."

The moment they entered their residence, they were shocked to be greeted by everyone staring at them.

Wu Qingcheng, Man Shu, Su Miaoyin and others stared at them with stern faces without saying a word.
