Lord of All Gods
Chapter 2616
Ye Liuyun, concerned that the Demon-Sealing Stele might be overburdened, decided to lend it a hand. He commanded the alien races under his control not to resist, instead channeling all their energy into the stele to rapidly enhance its power.
Soon, the stele descended even further. The more energy it absorbed, the stronger it became. As the aliens weakened and the stele grew mightier, it accelerated its consumption of their strength.
Even the remaining golden-armored elders of the alien race were stunned. Despite tapping into the power of their spatial realms, they still couldn’t withstand the stele’s suppression.
What they didn’t realize was that while their borrowed energy could momentarily resist the stele’s pressure, that very energy also fueled the stele itself. The more they drew from their spatial worlds, the more the stele devoured.
Ironically, it was the aliens’ desperate output of energy that kept the stele unshaken, preventing the surrounding forces from blasting it away.
This was a critical moment—the stele had just broken through to a higher realm, and its power had surged. There was no way it would let this opportunity slip.
Unaware of the truth, the golden-armored elders below, feeling the strain, released the silver-armored warriors from their spatial worlds to help bear the stele’s weight. This only poured even more energy into the stele’s grasp.
As they willingly fed it power, the stele eagerly absorbed it, leaving the aliens increasingly drained.
Ye Liuyun, however, had shifted his focus away from the stele. His attention was now fixed on watching for the appearance of any three-eyed aliens.
Finally, the desperate pleas of the golden-armored elders prompted Leidon to release another three-eyed, golden-armored warrior. But whether it attacked the stele with white or black beams, the stele remained unmoved.
Having ascended to a new realm, the Demon-Sealing Stele was now impervious to the aliens’ white light. As for the black light—it couldn’t even scratch the surface.
Just as the three-eyed alien was at a loss, Ye Liuyun activated his time power, freezing the moment. This time, he didn’t even bother approaching. From a distance, he swung his blade, cleanly severing the creature’s head.
In one swift motion, he teleported the head into his spatial world and the corpse beneath the stele before releasing his hold on time.
"Absolutely unstoppable!"
Ye Liuyun marveled at how effortlessly he had slain a three-eyed, golden-armored alien. With time manipulation at his disposal, he was certain—the aliens stood no chance in this war.
Layton seemed to share the same thought. Witnessing the situation, he abruptly ordered a full retreat.
The five-million-strong alien army immediately scattered in all directions, their elite warriors dispersing into the ranks. Those trapped beneath the Demon-Sealing Stele were abandoned without a second thought.
A few golden-armored elders tried to flee while others held the line, but the stele exerted a terrifying gravitational pull, rendering escape impossible. If they stopped resisting, they’d be crushed instantly. Yet continuing to fight back only fed more energy into the stele, sealing their fate—flattened into pulp.
"What? They’re retreating?"
Ye Liuyun was stunned when the alien forces suddenly withdrew. But realization struck quickly—Layton was changing tactics, luring the allied forces into pursuit.
If the aliens kept besieging the coalition, their strongest warriors would be whittled away by Ye Liuyun’s relentless assaults. By retreating, Layton could shift to the shadows, gaining the upper hand.
Yet Ye Liuyun didn’t seize the moment to attack. Instead, he kept a vigilant watch over the battlefield. Only when the last of the alien troops had vanished into the distance did the Demon-Sealing Stele finally slam down with a thunderous *boom*. None of the trapped alien elites escaped.
In that single strike, the stele obliterated every golden-armored elder, along with the silver-armored reinforcements they had summoned—over a hundred alien overlords wiped out in an instant.
Ye Liuyun waited until the stele had absorbed every last drop of energy before recalling it into his consciousness.
Just as he moved to collect the fallen aliens’ storage rings, a faint ripple in space prickled his senses.
Instinct took over—he froze time before even processing the thought. Only then did he scan for the source of the disturbance.
From the origin of that spatial ripple emerged a golden-armored alien, draped in an invisibility cloak, its third eye already unleashing a beam of dark light.
Someone had teleported this assassin right beside him.
A cold sweat drenched Ye Liuyun’s back. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
"Damn! If I hadn’t been on high alert, that bastard would’ve taken me out!"
Ye Liuyun immediately unleashed his divine soul, charging into the alien’s consciousness. But the creature’s mind was filled with soul-corrupting toxins. Protected by his Netherflame, Ye Liuyun swiftly retreated before decapitating the alien with a single slash.
"Wanted to spare you, but you just had to screw it up," he muttered, shaking his head. Seeing no point in further attacks, he finished it off decisively. Stowing the corpse in his spatial realm, he vanished from the spot to avoid drawing more attention.
Meanwhile, Leyton’s heart turned to ice. Every single Three-Eyed Golden Armor warrior and elder lay dead—except him. Only fourteen Sovereign-level Three-Eyed aliens remained, hidden within his spatial world.
Too terrified to emerge, he fled the frontlines inside the spatial realm of a Third Heaven Realm alien, biding his time to counter Ye Liuyun. But his resolve hardened: even alone, he’d fight to the bitter end.
He ordered all Golden and Silver Armor aliens to go into hiding. The rest were left to fend for themselves against the Alliance army.
Watching the aliens scatter, Ye Liuyun didn’t return to camp. Instead, he pursued the fleeing Sovereign-level warriors. Though most dispersed, a group bolted straight for the alien stronghold.
This time, he summoned the Nine-Headed Netherdragon. Working in tandem, they unleashed beams of white light, cutting down the aliens with ruthless efficiency. As long as their energy held, the slaughter continued—until not a single alien remained. Still, Leyton never emerged from hiding.
"Guess he’s not with them," Ye Liuyun sighed, disappointed. He’d have to wait for Leyton to resurface.
Just then, Yu Xiaofeng contacted him: "Should we launch the offensive?"
"Go for it. We can’t stall forever," Ye Liuyun replied. "Leyton’s still alive, and their Sovereign-level forces are scattered. Not to mention the sheer numbers of Heaven Realm aliens."
After briefing Yu Xiaofeng on the enemy’s strength, he dispatched the Vespera beasts to hunt down the remaining Sovereign-level threats.
