Lord of All Gods
Chapter 2628
The beasts immediately fell into chaos, unable to reach a consensus.
This was precisely why they usually needed a Beast King to lead them. Without a strong leader, they quickly became a disorganized mob, losing all combat effectiveness.
Compounded by the threat posed by the three powerful beasts at Ye Liuyun’s side, some of the creatures began to retreat. But seeing that many others remained, milling about in confusion, they hesitated, unsure what to do.
Outwardly, Ye Liuyun appeared calm, but in truth, he was biding his time, waiting for his temporal powers to recharge.
Just then, several beasts roared among the horde—evidently, they were vying to become the new Beast King. Seizing the opportunity, Ye Liuyun and his doppelgänger launched a soul attack.
They targeted the loudest challengers, swiftly subduing two beasts that had been contending for leadership. This only deepened the chaos within the pack.
It wasn’t until the crimson-maned lion let out a thunderous roar that the beasts finally quieted down.
By then, Ye Liuyun had regained his ability to manipulate time. He froze it once more, working with his doppelgänger to place as many enslavement seals as possible. In this round, they captured over fifty beasts.
Meanwhile, the crimson-maned lion ordered the remaining creatures to retreat and mind their own business. The newly enslaved beasts immediately obeyed, scattering without hesitation.
The blue-furred foxhound also stepped forward, growling low alongside the lion, driving the beasts back. Under their combined intimidation and the influence of their retreating kin, more of the creatures reluctantly withdrew.
Some of the beasts fled the trading planet altogether, returning to their own kind to report what had happened. Others lingered resentfully, whimpering and circling Ye Liuyun, unwilling to leave.
After waiting a moment longer, Ye Liuyun and his doppelgänger unleashed their temporal powers again, seizing control of as many remaining beasts as they could. Another thirty or so fell under their sway, leaving only a handful.
With no further hesitation, Ye Liuyun mounted the crimson-maned lion, flanked by the foxhound and the iron bull, and began looting the beasts. He confiscated all the resources they had been selling, stashing them away in his spatial realm. Those already marked with enslavement seals were likewise absorbed into his world.
For the stragglers, he and his doppelgänger continued branding them one by one, until not a single beast remained free.
The onlookers gaped in disbelief. They had witnessed robberies before—but never one this ruthless, where both the merchandise and the merchants themselves were hauled away without a trace!
At this moment, the ogre clansmen watching from a distance called out to the two ogres following Ye Liuyun, questioning why they were trailing him and whether they too had fallen under his control.
After receiving reports from the two ogres, Ye Liuyun instructed them to reply, "Tell them you’re under my control and ask them to rescue you!"
Following his orders, the two ogres answered truthfully.
Immediately, the ogre clansmen blocked Ye Liuyun’s path. Glancing at their numbers—barely over a dozen—Ye Liuyun wasted no time. He activated his temporal power, branding each of them with a slave seal one by one.
"Get in line at the back!" Ye Liuyun commanded, directing them to stand behind the two ogres in two neat rows.
The commotion had drawn the attention of everyone nearby. Even those who didn’t approach physically were scanning the scene with their divine senses.
Upon realizing Ye Liuyun had taken control of more ogres, the remaining clansmen roared in fury. The ogres selling resources hastily packed up their goods and rallied their kin, surrounding Ye Liuyun and his group.
The ogres here weren’t numerous—only about fifty or sixty in total. With a single use of time stasis, Ye Liuyun and his doppelgänger subdued them all effortlessly.
Among these ogres were three at the third level of Dominator Realm. Though fewer in number compared to the beast clans, they had one more high-level expert.
Afterward, Ye Liuyun stored all the ogres and savage beasts away, then turned to the remaining human martial artists with a cheerful grin. "Just settling some old scores with the beast clans and ogres—nothing for you all to worry about. The show’s over now, so go about your business!"
The crowd, mostly human martial artists dressed in varied attire, visibly relaxed upon hearing Ye Liuyun had no intention of attacking them.
His dismissal was clear—he wanted them gone. Given his overwhelming strength, none dared provoke him further, and they scattered. Yet none truly left; they lingered at a distance, waiting to see how the beast clans and ogres would retaliate.
Meanwhile, Ye Liuyun strolled through the market with Xiao Xi in tow. "Let’s check out your tribe’s stall," he transmitted silently.
By now, Xiao Xi had witnessed Ye Liuyun’s terrifying ability to control others. Though he couldn’t fathom how so many savage beasts had been subdued in an instant, he felt a strange sense of security in Ye Liuyun’s presence.
Yet at the mention of visiting his tribe’s stall, Xiao Xi tensed again, fearing Ye Liuyun might target his fellow clansmen.
His guess was spot on—Ye Liuyun’s intentions were exactly as he suspected. But even though he’d figured it out, he couldn’t defy Ye Liuyun’s will and had no choice but to comply.
The Han-Yong tribe’s stall was guarded by two formidable figures: a tribal elder named Balor and a warrior named Wan Gang, whose reputation rivaled Xiao Xian’s. Both were martial cultivators at the third level of the Dominator Realm, and they were fairly well-liked on this trading planet.
In truth, the Han-Yong tribesmen had recognized Xiao Xian the moment he appeared. Balor had immediately contacted the tribe to confirm that Xiao Xian had been sent to assassinate Ye Liuyun. Now, it was clear that Xiao Xian had also fallen under Ye Liuyun’s control.
But with Ye Liuyun now commanding an army of savage beasts and demonic giants, the tribesmen stood no chance against him.
Balor swiftly ordered everyone to stand down. All eyes were fixed on Ye Liuyun and Xiao Xian as they strode toward the tribe’s stall.
The tribesmen harbored no resentment toward Xiao Xian, but their glares burned with hatred for Ye Liuyun. Seeing that no one dared to stop him, Ye Liuyun deliberately began provoking them.
"Xiao Xian, pack this up—and this one too..."
He treated Xiao Xian like a mere servant, ordering him to stuff valuable resources into a Interspatial Ring without any mention of payment.
Some tribesmen seethed with anger, itching to strike, but Balor’s sharp mental command held them back. Humiliated, they could only watch helplessly as Ye Liuyun brazenly looted their goods.
Wan Gang’s fists clenched so tightly his knuckles cracked, his teeth grinding as he glared at Ye Liuyun with eyes ablaze.
Meanwhile, Ye Liuyun leisurely picked through their wares, casually recounting his feud with the chieftain’s son.
When he finished, he taunted Balor with a smirk, "Don’t you think I was justified in killing him?"
Balor met his gaze coolly and replied, "Perhaps from your perspective, it made sense. But to us, no matter the reason, if you kill one of ours, you pay with your life."
