Finally, the allied commander, Qiang Hui, made a decision—to launch a full-scale counterattack against Ye Liuyun’s planet. If they waited any longer, they’d be whittled down to nothing.

In their last two raids, Ye Liuyun and his avatar began employing temporal power, capturing and killing martial cultivators en masse. These prisoners were used solely for combat practice rather than being absorbed into the elite Vanguard Corps, whose members were already fully occupied with their own intensive training.

Though Ye Liuyun had amassed considerable resources during this period, the rate of consumption was staggering. He estimated that if he held out a little longer, he could break through to the fourth level of the Dominator Realm—a breakthrough that would give him a decisive advantage against the alliance.

But the alliance wasn’t about to give him that chance. They mobilized their entire camp and marched toward his forces.

"A rare opportunity," Ye Liuyun mused. "If they want an all-out war, we’ll give them one—and crush their morale in the process."

The other half of the martial cultivators and the 200,000-strong army were held in reserve, ready to adapt to the changing battlefield.

Yu Xiaofeng’s plan was to annihilate the vanguard while letting the rear forces retreat. Given the strength of the allied forces, wiping them out entirely was unrealistic. Concentrating their superior numbers to crush the vanguard alone would already be a significant victory.

"But won’t that reveal too much of our strength?" Yu Xiaofeng asked, concern lacing his voice.

"Absolutely," Ye Liuyun admitted. "But wiping them out completely will have a greater impact—it might sow doubt within their alliance. Besides, capturing more martial cultivators means we can bolster the Vanguard Regiment. We can also expand the demon army and strengthen our forces with the resources we seize. Even if our capabilities are exposed, our soldiers will grow stronger, keeping our enemies guessing in future battles. The benefits outweigh the risks."

"Alright then," Yu Xiaofeng conceded. "I’ll focus on the front. The rear is yours to handle." With their roles settled, the Purple Kylin Snake was assigned to Ye Tiandao, tasked with eliminating as many enemy cultivators as possible once the battle began.

Ye Tiandao personally took charge of protecting the beast. Once the Kylin exhausted its temporal powers, she would immediately recall it into the spatial realm to prevent its death. She also made sure to retrieve the corpses of those the Kylin killed—valuable resources, after all. The Purple Kylin Snake, however, remained blissfully unaware of the need to loot storage rings, content simply with the thrill of battle.

By the time the allied forces arrived, Ye Liuyun had already concealed himself with his invisibility cloak, lying in ambush. Facing Qiang Hui, the alliance commander at the fourth level of Dominance, he couldn’t afford to be careless.

The moment the enemy forces landed, Yu Xiaofeng gave the order to attack. The Vanguard Regiment raised their shields, deflecting a storm of arrows as they advanced, clearing a path for the Purple Kylin Snake.

Soon, the enemy’s two thousand martial cultivators stationed at the front surged forward. At the last moment, the Vanguard Regiment parted their shields, unleashing the Kylin.

In an instant, the beast activated its temporal power, freezing time as it began slaughtering the enemy cultivators.

Most of the bodies had their necks or heads torn apart by the Purple Kylin Snake’s claws, but their torsos remained intact. Rows upon rows of lifeless figures were sucked into the ring, a sight so chilling that the enemy martial artists hesitated to advance. The songstress and Lan’er stayed close to Ye Tiandao, shielding her from any potential attacks.

"Charge!"

With that command, Ye Liuyun raised his blade and led the Vanguard Regiment forward.

Yet their focus remained fixed on Ye Tiandao, dreading the moment she might unleash the Purple Kylin Snake again. This hesitation left them at a disadvantage from the outset. And then, like an unstoppable tide, the skies darkened with falcon warships while the ground trembled beneath the onslaught of chariots and puppet beasts, all bearing down upon the allied forces.
