Dawn Sutherland drove his car to the apartment and called Daisy Grant.

Daisy came downstairs. From a distance, Dawn could see the heaviness on her face, yet as she approached him, she wore a faint smile and got into the car.

"Second brother, you’re off work early today?" Daisy asked as she got in and closed the car door.

The car started moving.

Dawn smiled faintly, "Yes, there’s not much going on at the company today, so I got off work early to pick you up. Have you been having fun with Candy these past few days? Candy is lively and energetic; it must have been tiring for you to accompany her out to play."

Dawn’s face held a gentle smile, with eyes that sparkled with radiant hues. His raised lips were particularly striking.

Daisy smiled slightly at Dawn, shifted her gaze to the window, and spoke softly, "Second brother, you’re so good with Candy; you two have a great relationship."

Dawn didn’t catch the anomaly in Daisy’s tone, and he laughed lightly, "Candy is cheerful, lively, and generous; she gets along well with everyone."

Daisy responded with a soft "hmm," her voice even more subdued, "Second brother, you’ve been to Washington, right?"

Dawn’s gentle smile froze for a moment, his gaze deep as he looked ahead, afraid to turn his head, and his fingers gripped the steering wheel tightly, "Why ask this all of a sudden? Did Candy say something to you? Don’t take what that little girl says seriously, she always speaks her mind without thinking."

Could it be that Candy told Daisy everything about him? And what about the secret he holds in his heart?

That Candy really is...

Listening to Dawn mention Candy non-stop since she got in, Daisy’s eyes grew more somber and dim, and when she smiled faintly, the smile didn’t reach her eyes, and then she gazed out the window, lost in thought.

She recalled the bombardment of messages from Aidan these days, and her fingers subconsciously clutched her clothes, her whole body tense.

They arrived at the Grant Family residence more than an hour later, and the two got out of the car and entered the house.

After dinner, Daisy went upstairs and, in the study, called her assistant Diego Campbell. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

"Diego, how much of the original Grant Clan shares does my dad currently hold?... Okay, I got it, sorry to disturb you."

Daisy hung up the phone, opened her computer, edited an email, sent it out, and left the study.

When Daisy returned to her room, Dawn had just come out of the shower, his wet hair still dripping with water. His gentle eyebrows, clean and handsome features dazzled Daisy, and his deep eyes shimmered like a serene spring, radiating a quiet beauty.

Daisy looked at Dawn and thought of the threats from Aidan and Elsa, and the hell that would break loose if the truth came out, causing her eyes to sting slightly.

"Second brother," Daisy called out, her voice tinged with a slight rasp.

Dawn was wiping water from his hair when he heard Daisy’s voice and looked at her face. Seeing the redness in her eyes, he paused for a moment, quickly regaining his composure and walked over to embrace her.

"What’s wrong? Daisy, I noticed something was off with you when I picked you up at the apartment today, but I didn’t know how to ask. If there’s something wrong, tell me, and if I can’t help you, it’s my failure. So please, tell me, and I’ll do everything I can to help you."

Dawn’s words echoed heavily in Daisy’s heart, making her body tremble slightly. As her lashes fluttered, a tear fell. Daisy took a deep breath, holding back her emotions to keep Dawn from noticing....
