The Blood Sea surged with towering waves, murky blood rushing into the sky, transforming into a stinking rain that engulfed the world. Gasping for breath, Ash discarded his shattered weapon and pulled out the fifth pair of dual swords from his Space Ring.

His body was riddled with wounds. Peering through the relentless bloody rain, he gazed at the distant battle. The Sword Maiden and the All-knowing Weaver were engaged in a high-altitude showdown, with blood tides and sound waves tearing apart the colors of the Heavenly Curtain; Diya, Weiser, and Vishi were doing everything they could to combat the Wind, Flower, Snow, Moon chain. Even though they possessed no Secret Realm or Eternal Wonder, they managed to hold the Imaginary Music Master in check.

"Do you really still have the luxury to care for others?"

A swarm of flies gathered and reformed behind Ash, his voice resembling the eerie sound of countless maggots writhing and crawling, enough to drive any mortal mage insane just by listening. When Ash turned around, only half of his face had materialized, with countless flies hatching maggots at his head, but finally growing into a uniquely handsome face, plump maggots swirling in his eye sockets to form deep blood-red pupils!

His leg, like a crescent moon, twisted and lifted to kick Ash’s head. Because of his speed, everything below the knee vanished in mid-air, visible only as a burst of explosive mist, formed by air forced to disperse rapidly.

Ash’s dual swords unleashed divine might, slashing at the Bloodmoon Supreme’s kicking leg, as the Heart Hunting Throne released one chain after another.

Logically, the outcome of flesh against blade should be beyond doubt, but the reality was more unexpected than imagined — Bloodmoon Supreme’s leg exploded the instant it touched the sword edge. Ash flew out as if struck by a heavy pendulum. Bloodmoon Supreme’s right leg from the knee down vanished without a trace, yet within a breath, countless flies swarmed together, reconstructing his right leg, smooth and white, lines straight. He tread barefoot on the filthy Blood Sea, like a glamorous Blood Lotus blooming unstained from the mire. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

Ash vomited a mouthful of foul blood mixed with visceral fragments. When he looked up, the Bloodmoon Supreme was already bursting through the air to charge at him. They chased and slaughtered each other across the Blood Sea, stirring waves of infinite bloody rain, Ash’s eyes nearly splitting as he gritted his teeth to persist. With his injuries worsening to irreversible disability, Bloodmoon Supreme basked as if leisurely frolicking on the beach, seemingly facing only a mildly obstinate small beauty.

Finally, Ash, drenched in blood, retreated onto a mountain of countless corpses, unable to evade the Bloodmoon Supreme’s deadly foot blade. He growled, unleashing the Illusory Promise, as Fate granted him a protective vow, temporarily immune to all damage and swiftly recovering from all injuries!

Ash and the phantoms of four operators struck at Bloodmoon Supreme, who neither dodged nor defended, allowing their vicious attacks to pierce through. Yet, in the next second, Bloodmoon Supreme’s body scattered into countless flies, reforming in the distance.

Ash wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, coldly watching the Bloodmoon Supreme, resembling a nest of fly maggots.

This was one of the Eternal Wonders of the Corpse Mountain Blood Sea, the "Corpse Sea Fly Swarm," with wondrous capabilities of movement, evasion, and defense. Bloodmoon Supreme could disperse into countless flies at any time; even if Ash managed to kill the flies in time, it was meaningless, as Bloodmoon Supreme seemed merged with the Corpse Mountain Blood Sea, able to resurrect from any fly or maggot.

At first glance, it appeared grotesque and terrifying, yet upon careful consideration, how was it different from transforming into fire, lightning, or air currents? Bloodmoon Supreme merely transformed into flies.

The concept of beauty was but human narrow-mindedness. In Harvey’s eyes, the "Corpse Sea Fly Swarm" was surely more enticing than Wind, Flower, Snow, Moon. Perhaps influenced by Harvey, Ash could even appreciate the life and death aesthetics of the "Corpse Sea Fly Swarm," although possibly he was suffering a concussion inflicted by Bloodmoon Supreme.

Apart from the "Corpse Sea Fly Swarm," the second Eternal Wonder demonstrated by Bloodmoon Supreme was the "Destruction Blood River." This Wonder provided assistance and was exclusive to the Blood Magic Faction. Other magic factions couldn’t utilize it even if they wanted to.

The Blood Magic Faction had numerous powerful Forbidden Secret Rites, characterized by severe consumption of one’s blood. Unlike other magic factions, the slightest mistake in casting could cost a mage’s life, hence typically only the Blood Saint Clan, skilled in blood generation, ventured to study blood magic. Even so, the Blood Saint Clan dared not misuse forbidden blood techniques, only gambling their lives at decisive moments.

The "Destruction Blood River" completely resolved the problem with blood, allowing unlimited use of all forbidden blood techniques, with all consumption borne by the Corpse Mountain Blood Sea.

Not only that, but any blood magic strengthened by the "Destruction Blood River" carried both defense penetration and flesh curse. Defense penetration needed no explanation, and the flesh curse prevented wounds from healing and caused continuous rotting, bleeding, and severe pain, impervious to regular Healing Miracles. Earlier, Ash’s injuries accumulatively reached severe disability, forcing him to activate the Illusory Promise, as only this Fate Wonder could heal injuries inflicted by the flesh curse.

Also giving him a brief respite.

"You’ve already activated the Illusory Promise for the third time," Bloodmoon Supreme said leisurely. "How much longer can that Wonder protect you? How long can you stubbornly resist?"

"Until they secure victory," Ash tossed away his damaged weapon, continuing to draw new weapons: "I will not fall."

"You actually expect them to defeat the All-Knowing and Skydream to come help you?" Bloodmoon Supreme seemed to hear an enormous joke, tilting his fly-nested head in mockery. "As a mage, you’re counting on others to rescue you? How have you survived until now?"

"Human, I initially held high expectations for you, as you were recognized as the Heavenly Vice Monarch even by the Dazzling Star. That monster always had high standards; in thousands of years, I’d never seen anyone catch her eye. You’re the only one. I descended to earth, hoping you might offer a little shock."

"But it seems the Dazzling Star’s taste isn’t much; the Heavenly Vice Monarch she chose is no different than the feeble and powerless Lalafei." Bloodmoon Supreme spread his arms wide, making a gesture of embracing the world, causing the Blood Sea to surge with several blood rivers entwining his arms and legs. "Clearly, you are a potential contender for the Supreme of Magic, yet you hope for those weaklings to save you! Having someone like you wield the Supreme Holy Grail is an insult to the Supreme of Magic!"

As the Illusory Promise ended, Bloodmoon Supreme instantly teleported behind Ash, the wind pressure from his guillotine foot blade cleaved the Blood Sea apart. Ash rapidly spread his wings to evade, trying to dodge and maneuver in the air, but Bloodmoon Supreme advanced too swiftly and furiously, like a flesh bomb loaded with explosives, chasing and bombing Ash relentlessly!

Bloodmoon Supreme, or rather the Firework Angel’s magic system, was a dual cultivation of blood and fire, but unlike traditional blood and fire magic, his dual cultivation enhanced himself, using blood magic to strengthen flesh, making fire explode within muscles. The interplay of blood and fire in his soul body resulted in every movement imbued with terrifying overpowering force!
