Chapter 1006

The next day arrived.

On an open field in the Dawn faction, loud murmurs and charters could be heard.

The field was quite wide enough that hundreds of thousands of men could be able to stand on.

The place was quite bare with only a few patches of grasses here and there.

On this field, about two hundred thousand men could be seen chattering with one another in confusion.

These were the Dawn forces.

The men from the Behemoth clan absorbed by the Dawn faction.

The Behemoth Clan still had about a hundred thousand men back home that weren’t chosen for the war against the Dawn faction.

But without a leader or something, they were quickly absorbed by the Demonic Clan which had now become the sole major clan in the Noxarian faction and was being led by Han and Dan.

This boosted the Demonic Clan’s prowess to another level.

Regardless, after seeing Grey’s own prowess, they wouldn’t make the same mistake Devan made by attacking his faction.

And it doesn’t mean that they would join hands together with the Dawn faction regardless.

As long as they stayed on their lane, Grey wouldn’t interfere with them regardless of whether they helped him take Devan down or not.

And neither will they bother the warrior mage as long as it stayed on his lane.

The Umbrafell faction had been silent for a while now. Refusing to act out against the Dawn faction.

Ever since Orion fell and the Aetherian faction became the Dawn faction, they hadn’t done anything about it.

No intentional skirmish. No probing, nothing.

They remained on their lane.

— Why were we called out?

— I don’t know.

— Could it be another war? Is a faction being foolish enough to want to attack us?

— Damn. Don’t people learn? Couldn’t they learn from our mistakes and the mistakes of our previous leader?

— But why was it only just us that were selected?

— Only heavens knows what goes through the mind of the leaders. Out of over five hundred thousand men, why were only two hundred thousand of us selected out here?

— Hah! Have you forgotten who is leading us? I’m shocked he picked this many men? If he wanted, just with twenty thousand men, he could wipe a clan out if he wanted to.

— That’s true.

— Well, we can’t keep speculating though. Let’s just wait and see what’s happening here.

Immediately, out front, an ashen portal opened up in the wide expanse of a terrain.

And stepping out of the portal were: Grey, Leo, Sera and Thalos.

The moment they walked out, the portal snapped out of existence.

The aura they exuded together was enough to quieten the whole terrain.

The murmurs, chatters, conversations and speculations all died down in an instant as all heads snapped towards the front.

Tak. Tak. Clack.

Grey moved a little ahead of those who he had come with.

After a few steps, he stopped while gazing at the men out front.

"Good day you all and thank you for coming out here on such short notice."

His voice amplified by ki carried all across the battlefield allowing even those at the farthest back to be able to hear him loud and clear.

"I know you must all be wondering why I called you all out here."

The men all glanced at one another but didn’t say anything as they naturally looked at the head of the faction addressing them.

".... I wanted to call all the men we have in this faction out there today to address something but I figured it wasn’t such a wise choice so I asked for a specific number. The rest of you will communicate all I’m about to say today to the others. Because this is a very serious issue that concerns the whole faction."

Clearing his throat, Grey clasped his hands behind his back before he straightened.

"Listen up! There has been an issue plaguing this wo... universe for decades! Most of you all in this world are unaware of this because the truth has been buried deep by those who ruled you all. We are about facing a serious threat with the strength capable enough of wiping this whole world of Vayun clean and to the atomic level."

Gasps—!

The men all stared at one another in horror at Grey’s words.

What could they be about to face? What threat does he speak of?

What was going on that they were unaware of?

Regardless of all their questions, they were sure that it would be answered now.

"...."

Grey paused for a few moments before continuing.

"And what threat do we face? The Otherworlders... This organisation move from world to world conquering them. Planets, worlds; it doesn’t matter. They will conquer it all down leaving behind destructions and ruins in their wake."

"...!!!"

The men wore looks of disbelief on their faces at the grave tone Grey was using tor this new threat.

Was it that serious?

"Yes! This is a very serious issue. So serious that I could even use the help of all the major clans and factions in this world but they won’t give it to me because of their selfish motives."

Thalos walked forward calmly.

And with every steps he took, fear was written on all the faces of the men out on the field at the moment.

Majority of these men were the absorbed members of the Behemoth Clan.

They were there that day. The day Thalos causally began wiping out warriors as if they were nothing.

His greatsword claiming lives like they amounted to nothing more than garbage.

"These same Otherworlders have taken down a lot of worlds. They took my planet— the gargoyles’ home; the claimed the Dwarves world, claimed so many worlds that we are even unaware of. Tried taking this world but were stopped by my previous master.

Tried taking out Grey’s world a few times but failed due to lack of foresight and enough preparation. Now, after how many years, these same Otherworlders have received enough information and foresight they need."

"...."

Thalos let his words sink as his eyes scanned the men who were all gulping at both his sight and the description of the Otherworlders.

"... And now, they are coming for us all."
