Magus Supremacy
Chapter 1027: Cause Chaos (3)
Chapter 1027
Grey watched as his allies positioned themselves without any dialogue or words.
They moved, picking a target each and ready to clash.
His chest tightened in fear as he saw the matchups, especially the one with Orion.
’The foes are powerful, and so are my friends. But based on experience from fighting these people, they won’t be easy to beat.
We were able to do something when I was with them, but unfortunately, I can’t fight yet. If I fight, I will lose mana and precious energy.
If I do, how will I battle him later on...’ His gaze tightened on his father, who was still seated on his metal throne as if he were in a cinema enjoying a show.
’... Why hasn’t he made a move on me yet? What is he waiting for?’
....
Standing face to face with Orion, Thalos, Fenrir, Noir, and Kira glared at him simultaneously.
"Ah... how fun is life, huh? We all meet again after the last time," Orion began as he smirked at the four.
Then he pointed around them and him.
"And will you look at that? Grey is nowhere to be found to help you all."
Thalos shifted into a stance with his greatsword pointed at the man, a heavy glare on his face.
"I don’t think we will need his help today."
"...."
Orion’s smile deepened as a sinister aura and pressure washed out of his body.
"Oh, you will..."
His eyes were beginning to change color as his body shifted and morphed.
Bones shifted around as he cracked his neck left and right.
"... You will all need his help because I won’t make the same mistake as last time."
"AHHHHHHH!" Orion bellowed into the air as a wave of energy burst out from his body, forcing Kira to close her wings around her face to shield herself from the sudden mini shockwave.
Thalos lifted his greatsword in front of his face, while Fenrir stood behind the immovable gargoyle who refused to budge from the shockwave.
Noir dug his claws into the ground, anchoring himself as his crimson fur fluttered from the violent wind.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
The sound of bones shifting was heard, and after a few seconds, it died back down.
Kira unfurled her wings to see that Orion had already transformed.
The figure that now stood before them was barely recognizable as a man.
His body was wrapped in layers of black scales that gleamed faintly under the light, each one hard and polished like fragments of obsidian fused to his skin.
They spread across his shoulders, chest, and arms in jagged patterns, forming a natural armor that looked both ancient and unbreakable.
Beneath those scales, power coiled in every movement he made, the air around him seeming to tense with quiet danger.
From behind him extended a long black tail, thick at the base and tapering into a cruel point.
The entire length of it was lined with jagged spikes, each one sharp enough to pierce flesh with ease.
It swayed slowly, deliberately, like a predator’s weapon waiting for the moment to strike.
His hands ended in deadly pincer-like claws, curved and serrated, capable of snapping shut with crushing force.
Even the slightest flex of his fingers produced a faint metallic scrape, the sound alone enough to set nerves on edge.
But it was his face that carried the most terrifying presence.
His jaws were elongated, lined with rows of razor-sharp fangs that overlapped like the teeth of a deep-sea predator.
When he breathed, those fangs glinted faintly, promising a violent end to anything foolish enough to stand in his path.
And then there were his eyes.
Two endless voids stared out from beneath a shadowed brow.
No color. No reflection.
Just pure, consuming blackness, like staring into a bottomless abyss that swallowed light itself.
He did not merely look dangerous.
He looked like something forged from nightmares and power, a creature that had clawed its way out of legend and into the world of the living.
"Let’s see how you deal with me NOW!" Orion howled with incredible force as he proceeded to dash forward with maximum speed.
The soil bent beneath his feet as he rocketed forward with all the force and strength he had in him.
Thalos didn’t hesitate as he also darted forward like an arrow.
The gargoyle was incredibly fast, practically flying through the air at this point like an arrow let loose from a bow.
One of his arms was stretched backward, holding the greatsword with its point to the ground, while the other cut through the air with fluid grace as he closed the distance between him and the man within the blink of an eye.
Orion’s pincer-like claws flew forward, sharp and precise like a blade ready to cleave the gargoyle in two.
Unhesitatingly, the gargoyle met the pincer with his own sword, and the resulting impact was a thunderous bang that shook the very air and sent a violent gust of wind blasting in all directions.
The floor caved in instantly as chunks of debris were kicked up.
The sheer force of the clash sent Thalos sliding backward, his heels digging deep trenches through the ground.
Orion’s second claw lashed forth with deadly speed.
But before it could strike, Noir zipped forward with blurring speed.
Vaulting into the air, a gigantic fireball burst out from his jaws, causing Orion to snap his head upward while his arm cracked into place.
Ki swirled around the pincer-like claws as he managed to cut right through the fireball, sending the equal parts crashing into the ground and scorching it badly.
From the smoke, Fenrir cut in with an enormous lightning sword in his hand, which was raised high and descending upon the transformed warrior with rapid velocity.
Orion stared at the incoming strike for a fraction of a second.
Thalos quickly took advantage of the brief distraction by parrying the pincer to the side with all his might, then darted forward with a precise, powerful thrust directly toward the man’s heart.
Two deadly attacks were now closing in on Orion with crazy speed, a coordinated pincer movement that would have caught most fighters completely off guard.
