Several Trivenivrata ministers visibly stiffened.

"...."

"...."

"...."

A few soldiers near the chamber edges instinctively tightened their grip on their spears.

Even some allied representatives present in the court narrowed their eyes dangerously hearing the open intimidation.

Meanwhile beside the throne—

One of the divine sabertooths slowly rose onto its feet.

The gigantic beast stretched lazily before letting out a deep low growl that rolled across the chamber like distant thunder.

-Growl!

The sound alone caused several visiting ministers to pale instantly.

But Devara himself? He remained seated calmly upon the throne.

No anger crossed his face. No visible provocation.

That calmness itself now began unsettling the five rulers more than open rage would have.

Meanwhile from the side of the court, Prince Shakuni quietly clicked his tongue.

"-Tch!"

"Amazing."

The Gandharan prince smirked faintly.

"You entered a throne room for negotiations... and somehow managed to sound like robbers demanding coin on a forest road."

One of the neighboring ministers stepped forward angrily.

But before the argument could escalate—A new voice entered the tension.

Cold. Heavy. Controlled.

It was none other than Bhishma.

The grand elder slowly rose from his position within the chamber.

The movement alone altered the atmosphere instantly.

Because unlike political ministers or neighboring rulers—

Bhishma carried the weight of a legend.

And when he looked toward the five kings now, there was visible disappointment in his gaze.

"You stand inside the royal court of an allied kingdom."

His deep voice echoed across the chamber.

"And yet you speak threats before its throne?"

None of the neighboring rulers answered immediately.

Because no matter their confidence—Confronting Bhishma directly was another matter entirely.

Meanwhile beside him, Vidura remained silent but watchful, clearly measuring how dangerous this conversation might become politically.

"...."

Still—Devara finally moved. Slowly.

He rose from the throne.

The chamber instinctively focused completely on him.

His royal mantle shifted lightly behind him beneath the moving air while the crowned lion banner stood directly above the throne.

Then calmly—Far too calmly—Devara spoke.

"You ask whether I can stop five kingdoms."

The words echoed softly.

But somehow every person in the chamber heard them clearly.

Then his gaze slowly moved across all five rulers one by one.

"You came here believing numbers alone create power."

That sentence immediately sharpened the atmosphere again.

Meanwhile the divine sabertooths behind him stood fully alert now, their golden eyes fixed upon the visitors like silent predators watching prey test boundaries.

Then finally Devara’s voice hardened slightly for the first time.

"You mistake restraint for weakness."

The silence afterward felt suffocating.

And suddenly—For the first time since entering the throne chamber—

The neighboring kings began realizing they may have pushed this confrontation far further than intended.

The tension inside the throne chamber had already become suffocating.

The neighboring rulers stood rigid with anger.

The ministers behind them looked increasingly uneasy.

The divine sabertooths remained alert beside the throne platform, their low rumbling growls vibrating faintly through the polished floor.

And standing before them all—Devara remained terrifyingly calm.

"...."

Then unexpectedly—

Devara turned his gaze away from the five rulers entirely.

Instead, he looked toward Mahamantri Vidura.

The sudden shift confused several people in the chamber instantly.

Mahamantri Vidura himself raised an eyebrow slightly.

Then Devara asked calmly:

"Mahamantari Vidura... What was the ritual called that Lord Rama used to expand his borders through the sacred horse?"

The question itself stunned the chamber.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Several sages immediately understood where this conversation might be heading.

Meanwhile the neighboring rulers visibly frowned in confusion.

Vidura however answered truthfully without hesitation.

"Ashvamedha."

The word echoed heavily through the throne chamber.

Ashvamedha.

Immediately the atmosphere changed.

Even many ministers standing nearby straightened sharply.

Because every ruler present understood the meaning behind that ancient ritual.

Vidura continued calmly for the court.

"A consecrated white stallion would be released to wander freely across kingdoms."

"A chosen force of elite warriors would follow it."

"Any kingdom through which the horse passed peacefully acknowledged the sovereignty of the king performing the ritual."

"And if any ruler captured or stopped the horse... it was considered a direct challenge."

His voice remained composed.

"Then war would decide supremacy."

The neighboring king’s expressions slowly darkened further as realization began forming.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Vidura added the final part quietly.

"If the horse completed its journey unchallenged... the performing ruler would be recognized as an undisputed sovereign."

Silence. Heavy. Dangerous silence.

Then slowly—Devara turned back toward the five rulers. The faintest smile touched his face.

And then he asked the five kings before him.

"Should I follow the path of Lord Rama and perform it as well?"

The words landed like lightning across the chamber.

"So that future complications may be avoided."

That sentence shattered the final restraint inside the room.

The neighboring rulers exploded instantly.

King Rudrasena stepped forward furiously.

"How dare you!"

King Mahipala slammed his staff against the floor.

"This is an insult!"

"You threaten neighboring kingdoms inside your own court?"

Even several ministers behind them began shouting angrily.

The atmosphere became chaotic for a brief moment.

Meanwhile the divine sabertooths beside the throne rose fully now, their massive bodies towering as low growls rolled through the chamber warningly.

The guards of Trivenivrata immediately shifted positions.

Warriors from allied kingdoms subtly placed hands near weapons.

The throne room itself stood one breath away from violence.

And through all of it—Devara looked entirely unimpressed.

Then calmly—Almost mockingly—He answered.

"You discovered that only now?"

The silence afterward hit harder than shouting.

Because there was no diplomacy left in his tone anymore.

No pretense.

Only direct confrontation.

Several neighboring ministers visibly paled now realizing the situation had spiraled far beyond normal political pressure.

Meanwhile from the side of the chamber, Shakuni actually began laughing openly.

Not even trying to hide it anymore.

"Oh this is glorious..."

Even Bhishma closed his eyes briefly as though feeling a headache approaching.

Because the message Devara had just delivered was unmistakable.

The neighboring kingdoms had come attempting to place economic chains around Trivenivrata.

And in return—

The newly crowned king had casually suggested conquering them under the sacred legacy of Ashvamedha instead.

The throne chamber of Trivenivrata had completely transformed from a diplomatic court into a battlefield of words.

The sacred calm that usually surrounded royal halls was gone.

Now the chamber pulsed with raw tension.

Guards stood alert.

Ministers remained frozen.

"...."

"...."

"...."

The divine sabertooths beside the throne watched the visiting rulers with predatory stillness.

And standing at the center of it all—Devara no longer looked merely like a newly crowned ruler.

He looked like a king drawing a line.

The neighboring rulers were still visibly furious from the Ashvamedha remark when Devara spoke again.

This time—There was no humor left in his voice.

No mockery. Only cold certainty.

"We will continue using the same trade routes."

The words echoed sharply through the chamber.

"No taxes will be paid by Trivenivrata."

King Rudrasena immediately stepped forward angrily.

"You dare reject lawful demands so openly?"

But Devara continued without interruption.

"And if any among you has a problem with that ...you are welcome to challenge this kingdom."

The sentence dropped like iron.

Several people inside the chamber visibly inhaled sharply.

Because that was no longer diplomacy.

That was open invitation. Open challenge.

Even Vidura’s eyes sharpened seriously now.

"...."

Meanwhile the neighboring kings themselves looked stunned for a brief second.

Not because Devara rejected them. But because of how directly he did it.

Most rulers hid behind diplomacy.

Threats wrapped inside silk.

Fear buried beneath negotiation.

But Devara?

He spoke like a man who had already decided the outcome in his mind.

Then Devara slowly stepped down from the throne platform itself.

The movement immediately caused the chamber to tense further.

Even the divine sabertooths moved slightly with him instinctively.

The young king’s gaze swept across the five rulers one by one.

And then he declared before the entire royal assembly.

"But hear this clearly. If any kingdom dares stop the trade of Trivenivrata..."

"If any ruler attacks our merchants... If any hand reaches toward our goods..."

His voice hardened completely now.

"Then beware."

The chamber itself felt colder.

"Because I swear before this royal court... that kingdom will become history."

The words slammed through the hall like thunder.

Several ministers from neighboring kingdoms visibly paled.

Some soldiers inside the chamber straightened instinctively hearing the sheer conviction in his voice.

Devara continued without hesitation.

"I will not merely retaliate. I will not stop at borders. I will make certain that kingdom falls beneath the wings of Trivenivrata."

Absolute silence followed.

Not even the ministers dared whisper now.

"...."

"...."

"...."

The threat had become crystal clear.

Attack Trivenivrata’s trade.

And Devara would answer with conquest.

Meanwhile one of the divine sabertooths slowly let out another deep growl as if the beasts themselves approved the declaration.

From the side of the chamber, Prince Shakuni’s grin had become dangerously wide now.

Even he looked entertained by the sheer audacity unfolding before him.

Nearby, Bhishma silently watched Devara with unreadable eyes.

Because the young king had just publicly revealed something important to every ruler present.

Trivenivrata would not behave like a weak newborn kingdom begging for survival.

It intended to rise aggressively if cornered.

Meanwhile the five neighboring kings stood in grim silence.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Their attempt to economically pressure a rising kingdom had somehow ended with them being openly warned of annihilation inside another ruler’s court.

And the most unsettling part?

Looking into Devara’s eyes—None of them could fully convince themselves he was bluffing.

The atmosphere inside the throne chamber finally snapped completely.

Whatever fragile layer of diplomacy had remained between the kingdoms shattered after Devara’s declaration.

The five rulers no longer looked like kings attending negotiations.

They looked insulted men struggling to maintain pride before an entire royal assembly.

King Rudrasena took a furious step forward first.

His face had darkened completely now.

"So this is your answer?"

His voice echoed sharply through the chamber.

"You humiliate neighboring rulers before your entire court?"

Beside him, Pratapaditya slammed the end of his ceremonial staff against the floor hard enough for the sound to echo.

All five them were not happy with how Devara

The ministers behind them looked equally enraged now.

Even the careful diplomacy from earlier had disappeared entirely.

Then one after another, the rulers openly voiced their anger before the whole assembly.

King Virendra Varma pointed directly toward Devara.

"Remember this day carefully, King Devaratha. You may sit proudly upon your throne now... but we swear before this court that we will bring this kingdom down."

The words themselves already carried venom.

But then came the line that changed the atmosphere completely.

King Somakeshi shouted with visible fury,

"Even if we must burn the whole world to ashes to do it!"

The moment those words entered the chamber—Everything changed.
