The divine waters of Ganga’s sacred domain slowly calmed after the chaotic game finally came to an end.
The glowing underwater forests no longer shook from frantic hiding attempts.
The ancient pillars stood peacefully once more.
And the five giant crocodiles floated around the massive stone slab looking utterly exhausted after suffering through what they now considered the most unfair hide-and-seek game in existence.
Meanwhile—
Devara looked completely energized.
"...."
"...."
"...."
"That was fun."
The young king grinned brightly while sitting cross-legged atop the stone slab.
The crocodiles stared at him with varying levels of emotional devastation.
Especially the silver-eyed one.
She still had not recovered from being discovered inside the cave within thirty seconds.
Meanwhile Devara clapped his hands excitedly again.
"Let’s play another round!"
Instantly—The five crocodiles looked horrified.
Varga herself physically leaned backward in the water.
The crimson-eyed crocodile’s tail twitched in visible disbelief.
The golden-eyed one slowly closed his eyes as though praying for divine rescue.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Unfortunately for them—Before Devara could begin inventing "improved rules," Goddess Ganga’s calm voice echoed gently through the divine waters.
"Devara."
The young king turned immediately toward his mother.
The beautiful river goddess smiled softly.
"It is already late."
The words made him blink.
-Blink!
"You have responsibilities above the surface."
"The palace will already be searching for you."
The reminder struck him like lightning.
For several seconds Devara simply froze.
"..."
Then slowly—His eyes widened.
"...My kingdom."
The crocodiles silently watched realization spread across his face.
"I completely forgot about court matters today."
Goddess Ganga failed to suppress a small laugh hearing the horror in his voice.
Meanwhile Devara immediately stood up upon the stone slab dramatically.
"Alright!"
He pointed proudly toward the distant upward currents leading toward the river surface.
"Then all of you are coming with me."
The five crocodiles instantly froze.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Their earlier exhaustion disappeared completely.
Instead—Something else entered their expressions.
Hesitation. Deep hesitation.
The atmosphere shifted subtly.
The excitement inside their eyes from earlier dimmed slightly now.
Even Varga herself lowered her gaze briefly.
Devara blinked in confusion.
-Blink!
"What?"
"Didn’t you agree earlier?"
None of them moved.
The sacred waters remained strangely quiet around them.
Then slowly, all five crocodiles looked upward toward the distant surface currents.
And for the first time since meeting them again—Devara noticed something strange.
They were afraid.
Not of him. Not of the surface itself.
But of something connected to it.
The young king frowned slightly.
-Frown!
"What’s wrong?"
Still none of them answered.
The hesitation only deepened.
Then from nearby, Goddess Ganga gently spoke again.
"Perhaps..."
Her eyes rested knowingly upon the crocodiles.
"...they wish for you to force them toward the surface."
That statement completely confused Devara.
He immediately turned toward his mother.
"Force them?"
Goddess Ganga only smiled softly.
Then gave him a small encouraging nod.
-Nod!
The gesture itself carried meaning.
Meaning Devara had not fully understood yet.
The young king slowly became quiet afterward.
His gaze shifted back toward Varga and her sisters.
The five crocodiles remained motionless now, their glowing eyes silently fixed upon him.
And suddenly—The excitement within him softened into curiosity.
Because he realized something important.
There was a secret here.
Something much deeper surrounding his crocodile buddy and her sisters.
A reason they hid beneath these waters.
A reason they hesitated before the surface.
A reason his mother spoke the way she just did.
Meanwhile Varga quietly watched him.
And inside her ancient cursed heart—Hope slowly trembled awake.
Because after a hundred long years...
The moment foretold by prophecy finally stood before them.
And yet—Devara himself still looked adorably confused about the entire situation.
The young king slowly scratched the back of his head while staring between his mother and the crocodiles.
"...I feel like everyone knows something except me."
Nearby, Goddess Ganga’s laughter echoed softly through the sacred waters.
And the five crocodiles silently thought the same thing at once.
’Yes. Finally.’
The sacred waters of Ganga’s divine domain became unusually quiet after her words.
Even the flowing currents around the ancient pillars seemed calmer now.
The playful atmosphere from earlier had slowly faded into something deeper.
More meaningful.
And standing upon the massive stone slab between the five giant crocodiles,
Devara quietly looked between them and his mother once again.
He was not foolish.
The hesitation in the crocodiles’ eyes.
The strange way Goddess Ganga spoke.
The expectation hanging silently in the waters.
All of it made one thing very obvious.
There was definitely a secret here.
A large one.
But despite his curiosity—Devara did not press them for answers.
Because he trusted his mother completely.
If Goddess Ganga herself suggested bringing them to the surface...
Then there had to be a reason behind it.
And more importantly—If it truly carried danger, she would never encourage him toward it so calmly.
That thought alone settled his doubts.
Slowly, Devara folded his arms while looking at the five crocodiles floating before him.
All of them were staring directly at him now.
Waiting. Expecting him to say yes to the suggestion of his mother.
Even Varga’s usually exhausted expression carried visible tension beneath it.
Hope. Fear. Nervousness.
After a hundred years of curse and waiting—Everything had somehow led toward this single moment.
Meanwhile Devara himself still looked adorably confused about the deeper situation.
"...."
But even without understanding fully—He could feel the importance of it.
The young king finally let out a small sigh.
"Alright."
The crocodiles visibly stiffened.
"If all of you really want me to drag you to the shore..."
He looked toward them carefully.
"...then I’ll do it."
The sacred waters trembled faintly.
Not from fear this time. But with anticipation.
Even Goddess Ganga’s beautiful smile softened further watching the scene unfold.
"...."
Because she too understood what was about to happen.
Devara stepped down from the stone slab and slowly approached Varga first.
The ancient cursed apsaras felt their heart pounding heavily beneath their crocodile form.
For years beyond counting she had imagined this moment.
Wondered about it. Prayed for it. Feared it.
And now—The child she once protected from afar had grown into the very man destined to free them.
Meanwhile Devara casually placed both hands upon her massive head.
Still completely unaware of the emotional storm happening inside the crocodiles.
"You all are acting so strangely."
He narrowed his eyes suspiciously.
"If this turns out to be some weird prank..." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
The five crocodiles stared at him silently.
Goddess Ganga immediately looked away to hide her laughter.
Because somehow—Even standing at the edge of fulfilling an ancient prophecy—
Devara still managed to sound like an annoyed older brother being dragged into mysterious nonsense.
The young king eventually shook his head.
"Whatever."
Then his expression softened slightly.
"But if this is important to all of you..."
"...I’ll help."
Those simple words struck the crocodiles harder than he realized.
Because for the cursed apsaras—Those words carried kindness.
Trust. And salvation.
Without demanding explanations from them he was trusting them.
Without suspicion. Without fear of betrayal.
Devara simply chose to help because they asked him to.
And perhaps that very nature of his... Was why destiny itself had chosen him for this moment.
The sacred waters of Ganga’s divine domain trembled softly as the moment foretold a hundred years ago finally began moving toward its destined conclusion.
Yet the one responsible for fulfilling that destiny—
Devara—Still looked completely unaware of just how monumental this moment truly was.
To him, his crocodile buddy and its family simply wanted help reaching the shore.
And if they wanted his help—Then he would help them.
Simple as that.
Without waiting for further explanation, Devara immediately stepped forward toward Varga.
"Alright then."
He grabbed her tail casually.
Varga visibly stiffened.
"...."
Then before the other four crocodiles could fully process what was happening—Devara reached out and grabbed their tails too, bunching them together firmly within his hands.
The crocodiles collectively froze.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Even Goddess Ganga blinked once seeing the absurd sight before her.
Because somehow—The future liberator of ancient cursed apsaras currently looked like a determined fisherman dragging oversized river lizards home.
Meanwhile Devara rolled his shoulders slightly.
"Let’s go."
And then—He pulled.
The sacred waters exploded outward.
The sheer force behind the movement sent currents surging violently through the divine domain as Devara began dragging all five gigantic crocodiles upward from the depths of the river.
At that exact moment—The ancient curse reacted as soon as Devara started pulling the crocodiles with the intension of taking them to the shore.
The five crocodiles suddenly began struggling violently.
Not because they wished to escape liberation.
But because the curse itself resisted.
For a hundred years the magic binding them had chained them to the waters as predators.
And now that same curse desperately fought against its own destruction.
Varga herself felt it immediately.
An overwhelming instinct buried deep within the curse screamed at her to resist.
To stay within the river.
To escape.
Her sisters experienced the same thing.
The giant crocodiles thrashed violently through the sacred waters, attempting to break free from Devara’s grip.
Massive tails struck through the currents.
Ancient pillars trembled.
Glowing fish scattered in panic.
One of the crocodiles even twisted hard enough to uproot part of an ancient stone structure nearby.
Yet despite all their struggles—Devara did not budge.
Not even slightly discomfort holding their tails.
"...."
Because the strength they fought against was absurd.
This was the same man who had once lifted a fully grown war elephant during the conflict against Kamsa.
And thew it at the mad king.
Compared to that—Five struggling cursed crocodiles were barely slowing him down.
Devara frowned slightly while continuing upward through the raging currents.
-Frown!
"Why are all of you resisting now?!"
The crocodiles internally screamed in frustration.
’IT’S THE CURSE! PLEASE DON’T GIVE UP... PULL US TO THE SHORE.’
Unfortunately—They still could not explain properly even through Devara could understand aquatic language.
But to free themself from the curse they couldn’t tell him about it.
Meanwhile Devara simply assumed they were panicking.
"Relax!"
"I’m literally helping you!"
The silver-eyed crocodile nearly lost her mind hearing that while being dragged helplessly toward destiny itself.
The closer they moved toward the river surface—The more violently the curse reacted.
Dark ancient energy began flickering faintly around the crocodile’s bodies beneath the waters.
Their monstrous forms trembled painfully.
The sacred river itself churned around them as though the curse was desperately trying to hold them beneath the depths forever.
Yet through all of it—Devara continued pulling them upward steadily.
Relentlessly. Like an unstoppable force.
And strangely enough—Despite the pain... Despite the violent struggle of the curse...
Varga slowly felt tears gathering within her eyes.
Because after a hundred long years—The surface was finally close again.
Freedom. Sunlight.
Sky. Their true forms they could turn back as soon as they reach the shore.
Everything they had once believed lost forever.
Meanwhile below them, Goddess Ganga quietly watched with a gentle smile upon her face.
Because destiny had finally begun moving exactly as it was always meant to.
