Marriage Contract with my Cursed Alien Mate
Chapter 74
Dron wasn’t sure if he was ready for another go around with the members of the community.
Luckily, he didn’t have to give where he and Tempest went next much thought. In fact, he’d received an invitation from the royal court the day before to come visit whenever he wished.
Dron wasn’t oblivious, he knew the invitation was solely for Tempest but still to get an invitation to the High Royal class was thrilling. Especially since the one time he’d tried to step foot on the high royal class he was immediately shoved out.
He wasn’t mad. It wasn’t just him who wasn’t allowed to wander around the elite town. Now he would really get a chance to see how the small part of the population lives.
His only worry was that Tempest would see as well. His home was expansive. It had state of the art electronic systems. Everything was the very best that he could get. But he knew that what the royals and royal family had was so much more than he could ever wish for. He’d never garner enough credits for even the cheapest item in any of the royal’s homes.
He had accepted that a long time ago but now he worried if Tempest would start to question whether or not she made the right decision choosing him.
Dron only could hope that she wouldn’t be swayed with the material items that she might have received if she’d waited to get further down the line during the procession.
"You look nervous." Tempest spoke pulling Dron out of his own thoughts.
"I’m not." Dron answered, curtly.
She raised an eyebrow in his direction and he knew that he was caught. "Okay, not nervous but maybe a little anxious. They don’t usually allow me to go to the royal class. Only during military business and I have to be accompanied by the Mark Chief. And even then it’s only to the war chambers and then we return back to the military class."
Dron explained and Tempest nodded her head as if she understood.
"Wow, I didn’t know it was that hard to visit. Maybe we should try a different class. I wouldn’t want you to get into trouble or anything like that."
"You don’t have to worry about that. I actually recieved an electronic invitation to visit last night."
"You did? Why would they do that?"
Dron smirked and then gestured to Tempest as if she should already know the answer to that.
"Ah....got it." Tempest leaned back in the chair as the transport continued to whiz through the trees and higher topography. The Royal class was much farther and it would take them longer to get there. Dron wasn’t opposed to the travel time. The only problem was it gave him more time to sit and think about everything that could go wrong.
Tempest gingerly got up from where she was sitting and slowly walked over to the other side of the transport where Dron was.
"You don’t need to be nervous."
Dron moved over so Tempest could sit next to him. The transports were safe and he’d never heard of anyone being injured while using them but he didn’t want to take any chances when it came to Tempest.
"I’m trying not to be but it’s a little difficult. The last time I was there it was as if the entire town knew that there was an outsider in their midst. I can’t fight them and if any of them try to lay a hand on you—"
Tempest raised her hand and cut him off mid sentence. "No one is going to hurt me. The royals have to keep me happy, put on a good show for the people. Nothing is going to happen there. If anything the royal class might be the safest place for me." Tempest shrugged.
Dron knew she didn’t understand that itself was one of his greatest fears. That she would realize that the royal class was a much more suitable place for her. In that class she’d be able to walk around freely. Where Dron lived now was enclosed with wildlife and trees. Solidarity. It was good for him but in his mind it was much too hard for her. She should be able to go out and enjoy the elements without fear of a wild animal sneaking up on her.
"It’s safe and gilded. A perfect place for you." Dron commented.
"Dron, don’t do that..." Tempest sighed and turned a little more so she could be focused on his face. "I’m not saying I want to stay there. I’m perfectly safe with you and gold isn’t really my color." She smiled and he felt a little of the anxiety practically dripping from his skin.
"You deserve to stay in a place like that. Someplace with servants and an easy life."
"I may deserve that but I don’t want it. I want to be with you."
Dron’s eyes jerked up to hers.
Did she mean just now or forever? He didn’t want to press the issue but it gave him a little hope. Maybe hope that would backfire in the end.
"I want you to be with me too. I’m just not dumb enough to believe that I’m the best that Thrace can offer. We are about to step into that world. If something were to change while we are there and you find that you are indeed more suited for the royal life, there may be something that we can do. Maybe they will allow you to live there and I could visit or you could come to visit with me. It’s a long transport ride but it’s not impossible."
Tempest sighed and grabbed his hand. Dron swallowed hard as he waited for her to tell him that it sounded like a good idea.
"I’ll be coming home with you Dron. No matter what I see or what they offer me, I’ll be not the transport back to our home."
Dron nodded and swallowed hard again. He prayed that she stayed true to her word. He didn’t know what he would do if he lost Tempest now.
Finally the transport came to a stop and it lowered slowly to the ground. Dron got up first and helped Tempest out of the transport.
He lusted after her as he did most of the time but more so at that moment because of what she was wearing.
It was a dark blue dress but the entire back side down to her supple rear was cut out. The front crossed in a way he couldn’t quite understand and there was a long cut in the front from her feet up to her thighs. It really seemed like Dron could just pull the one string that she had tied behind her neck and the entire dress would fall away. He had to stop himself a couple of times already from doing just that.
The woman was as gorgeous.
He shook his head and forced the desire down. It wasn’t like he could act on them. She had told him before that she didn’t want to go all the way, that there would be no penetration but he would be lying if he said he wasn’t the most excited he’d ever been for anything for her heat cycle to come. He was already thinking about all the different ways he could make her release. How she would sound. How she would feel.
"You okay?" Tempest asked when she realized that he wasn’t following behind her.
"Yes I’m fine." Dron took a deep breath and did his best to push his fantasies away.
They walked up a long pristine brick drive and stopped at the high fence. It was gold and ornate. Dron waited for a moment and a guard walked up.
He looked at Dron for a moment, an expression of disgust on his face as he eyed Dron’s markings.
"You don’t belong here. You’re the tainted one."
Dron gritted his teeth but he didn’t snap at the man like he wanted to.
"I understand but we were invited here." Dron tried to show the guard the invitation on his wrist device but the man refused to even look in it’s direction.
"I don’t care what you think you were invited to, I’m not going to let you in. Go back to the hovel you crawled out from." The guard sneered at him.
"How dare you. My omega is an esteemed guest and she is requesting that the both of us be let in."
"She can’t be that esteemed connected to the likes of you. If she was anything special before than every moment she spent in your presence definitely drained that right away. But who knows when you’re through with her I’m sure there are a few guards here who would give her a quick lay." The guard glared at Tempest.
That was all Tempest tolerated. Before Dron could turn and stop her she was barreling up to the gate. "Come out of here and see how special I am. I dare you!" She yelled at the alpha. He was confused for a second. The omegas don’t typically fly into outburst.
"Oh she’s a feisty one. On second thought, maybe I will let you in. I can have a taste of her now." The guard raised his hand as if he were about to open the gate.
Dron quickly looked around. He knew fighting one of these guards would be like career suicide but the last thing he was about to do was allow anyone to harm Tempest. He meant everything he said on the transport. She was his wife and he would do everything in his power to make sure that she was well protected.
Before the man could release the latch that would open up the doorway in the gate there was a rush of activity behind.
Dron stepped back and tried to focus through the bars of the gate so he could see what was going on. It looked as if more guards had joined in on the soon to be fight. At least that was what he thought until he saw the guards face.
His pale skin turned as gray as Dron’s. The guard backed up and then bowed deeply.
There was a horse drawn carriage and in a flurry, a large alpha male quickly opened the carriage door. Dron couldn’t see clearly but there was only one reason for anyone to be in a carriage even in this class.
Whoever was in there was royalty.
