"LET ME explain, Euntak-ah."

"Yeah, I’m listening," Cho Euntak said while crossing his arms over his chest, and then he glared at Cho Euntak. "I thought you were only attracted to girls. Plus, Heedo Sunbae-nim is an Alpha. So, you know you can be attracted to Alphas all this time?"

"First of all, my crush for Heedo Hyung is nothing more than a fleeting feeling," Baek Jeho explained in a panic. "I was only six years old at the time. To be fair, I thought I was going to manifest as an Omega. And Heedo Hyung... well, it’s clear from day one that he was going to manifest as an Alpha. So... so, I thought it wouldn’t be bad if I became Hyung’s Omega..."

By this time, Baek Jeho’s face had turned completely red as if he were embarrassed.

Kim Heedo was obviously holding back his laughter, and so were Yang Jaewon and Kwon Gaon.

These hyungs really find this funny, huh?

"Why did you think that you’d manifest as an Omega?" Cho Euntak asked curiously. "We met when we were in elementary school. Back then, I could already tell that you were going to manifest as an Alpha."

Baek Jeho was taller than their peers at the time, and he exuded an aura that totally screamed ’Alpha.’

"Well, we were already 11 years old when we met. I already started my growth spurt at the time," Baek Jeho explained. "But, before that, I was small and petite. Plus, I used to be a pretty kid. So, people often told me that I was going to manifest as an Omega."

"That was true," Yang Jaewon confirmed. "Baek Jeho really looked like a little girl when he was younger."

Kwon Gaon nodded in agreement. "Plus, he used to be a crybaby."

"I’ll appreciate it if you keep your mouths shut for a moment, my dear hyungs," Baek Jeho said while glaring at his fellow Alphas. "And stop spreading misinformation. I wasn’t a crybaby, okay? I was just a sensitive child."

Yang Jaewon and Kwon Gaon both acted like they were zipping their mouths, obviously holding back their laughter.

"Carry on with your explanation," Kim Heedo said, urging Baek Jeho to return to the topic in hand. "Tell Cho Euntak how you cried while begging me to let you enlist early."

Baek Jeho glared at Kim Heedo. "I did not cry."

"Oh, you did," Kim Heedo said, smirking, while pulling out his phone. "And I have a video to prove it." 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

Baek Jeho’s eyes widened when Kim Heedo started playing a video.

Cho Euntak, naturally, watched the video with enthusiasm.

And, lo and behold...

... Baek Jeho was really crying!

The video was clear, and so was the audio.

"Heedo Sunbae-nim, help me enlist in the army. It’s okay even if I’m not in the same base as Cho Euntak..."

"Then why do you want to enlist if you can’t be in the same base as Cho Euntak?"

"I just want to finish my enlistment around the same time as him, so once we start dating, we don’t have to get separated. We can date freely once we’re both done serving in the army."

Woah?

Cho Euntak glared at Baek Jeho. "You’re that confident that I’d date you?"

Baek Jeho avoided his gaze, obviously shy and guilty. "It was the alcohol talking..."

Cho Euntak wanted to scold Baek Jeho more, but the conversation that the Alphas were having in the video caught his interest once more.

"What makes you think Cho Euntak will date you, Baek Jeho?"

"Well, Cho Euntak is in love with me..."

"Well, the army is full of men— of Alphas. Cho Euntak seems ready to forget you and move on. So, if he meets a nice person in the army, then what will you do?"

Cho Euntak was actually scared of Kim Heedo because the older Alpha had once picked a fight with him because of Park Sohee.

But, at that moment, he cheered for Kim Heedo after he clocked Baek Jeho.

However, he didn’t expect how his childhood friend reacted.

Baek Jeho actually cried his eyes out.

Wow.

Cho Euntak couldn’t believe that he was seeing Baek Jeho bawl like a child.

"I’ll die if Cho Euntak finds someone else..."

Cho Euntak felt his entire face turn red.

Did I hear it right?

On the other hand, Kim Heedo, Yang Jaewon, and Kwon Gaon finally burst out laughing.

The older Alphas were really having fun, huh?

Baek Jeho, the "victim" of the teasing, remained quiet— his face as red as Cho Euntak’s.

None of them could say anything because the video was still playing.

And the drunk Baek Jeho wasn’t done with his confession yet.

"I never said I was never attracted to Alphas. And I only dated girls because I can’t be with other men without thinking about Cho Euntak. But I wasn’t ready to admit my feelings for him back then. I was afraid I’d end up like my father. In the first place, I wasn’t sure if my feelings for Cho Euntak were strong enough to last for a long time. What if I fell out of love with him? I’m scared. I don’t want Cho Euntak to end up like my mother."

Cho Euntak couldn’t believe that he was hearing all of that from a drunk Baek Jeho.

What if Kim Heedo didn’t record that moment?

Baek Jeho really sucked at this.

I can’t listen to this any longer.

Cho Euntak was far from rude, but he grabbed Kim Heedo’s phone and stopped the video from playing.

The older Alphas stopped laughing, but none of them confronted him for what he did.

He then returned Kim Heedo’s phone politely.

"Thank you for letting me see the video, Heedo Sunbae-nim," Cho Euntak said, and then he glanced at Baek Jeho, who looked confused. "But I’d like to hear the rest of the confession from this Baek Jeho, not the drunk one in the video."
