Marrying a White Snake Wife is Super Cool
Chapter 301 - 175: Stay Away From My Man
Gu Gaoxu watched the Flying Beasts in the distant sky and ordered his men to prepare for battle.
Even if they were to die on the battlefield, they would go out with a bang.
Gu Gaoxu and his troops had been holding out for four or five days. For a man in his twenties, it was a remarkable feat to remain calm and composed while commanding his subordinates in battle.
When Gu Di was young, he had fought everywhere alongside his father-in-law.
Now, Gu Gaoxu was following in his own father’s footsteps, fighting on the battlefield.
Gu Gaoxu ordered his subordinates to hold their position and prevent the Beastman Race from charging through.
He also dispatched a portion of his soldiers to raise their Firearms, Bows and Arrows, and other ranged weapons, aiming them at the Flying Beasts high in the sky.
They were just waiting for the beasts to enter firing range before taking them down first.
Their ammunition for the Firearms and their Arrows were almost gone.
They likely wouldn’t be able to withstand this next wave from the Beastmen.
Gu Gaoxu had accepted his fate this time, but he wanted to take a few more of the enemy down with him before he died.
Just as they were about to enter range...
...round, pebble-sized spheres rained down from high above, falling into the ranks of the Beastman Race.
These scattered spheres were the Thunder Bombs invented by Lu Yuan.
They rained down in droves, emptied from several large pouches.
A high-altitude drop!
A few seconds later, deafening explosions ripped through the Beastmen’s position.
Mangled torsos were blasted in every direction, a piece here, a piece there.
Waves of heat billowed out, washing over Gu Gaoxu.
When Gu Gaoxu looked forward again, all he could see was a sea of fire.
Even the Beastmen who were lucky enough to survive the initial explosions were being roasted by the Flame from the surrounding burning grass and trees.
The roaring blaze made the Beastmen shriek in agony. Covered in flames, they scattered in panic or fell to the ground, rolling around in a desperate attempt to put them out.
This sudden turn of events made Gu Gaoxu shout three phrases to the heavens: "Awesome! Badass! Burn them to death!"
"If not now, when?" Lu Yuan yelled as he controlled his paraglider, diving steeply through the air.
Gu Gaoxu looked up, peering closely, and finally realized the one shouting was Lu Yuan. Lu Yuan had flown here.
Gu Gaoxu’s men stared at the dozen or so figures in the sky as if they were gods descending from the heavens!
Gu Gaoxu’s men raised their arms and cheered, shouting, "Mighty! Mighty!"
’What the hell are those things? They can fly? Damn, that’s impressive,’ Gu Gaoxu thought to himself.
After a moment of stunned silence, Gu Gaoxu commanded his men to charge.
This was too good an opportunity to just sit and wait for death.
With the Beastman Race’s ranks in complete chaos, Gu Gaoxu led the charge, cutting through them as if they were in an undefended land.
With every swing of their blades, Beastmen fell in droves, like farmers scything cornstalks.
Lu Yuan and Su Liyan, leading their retainers, landed not far behind the Beastman lines.
Lu Yuan grabbed the Automatic Rifle in his hands, shielded Su Liyan with his body, and roared at his retainers, "Charge with me!"
The retainers slung their Treasure Swords over their backs, pulled Rifles from the cloth sacks on their backs, and charged toward the Beastman Race alongside their Young Master.
Volleys of bullets swept across the field, catching the Beastmen completely off guard. They hadn’t even realized the Human Race had enveloped them.
A minor Beastman leader turned around, brandishing a Wolf Fang Club, and charged at Lu Yuan and his men.
However, before he could even get close, a bullet struck him right between the eyes, passed through his skull, and splattered what looked like tofu pudding all over the ground.
The minor leader collapsed limply to the ground, losing consciousness. He died without ever knowing how he had been slaughtered.
As they closed the distance with the Beastmen, Lu Yuan and his men drew their swords and charged into the fray.
Protected by their Soft Armor and Armor, their defensive capabilities were greatly enhanced.
As long as they weren’t struck in the face, it was difficult for the Beastmen to land a fatal blow.
The purple glow of the Celestial Master Sword in Lu Yuan’s hand was brighter than ever before; Lu Yuan was activating a Spell.
When Gu Gaoxu saw Lu Yuan’s figure, he became energized, hacking and slashing his way in Lu Yuan’s direction, eager to rendezvous with him.
A flash of white light passed. Su Liyan’s body twisted, her thick, massive tail leaving a slithering trail on the ground.
Su Liyan appeared directly in front of Lu Yuan. With one hand on each of their necks, she lifted two several-hundred-pound Beastmen off the ground.
"Stay away from my man!" Su Liyan roared.
With two sharp sounds, "CRACK, CRACK," the Beastmen’s necks were brutally snapped.
Lu Yuan wasn’t very surprised to see his wife reverting to her ancestral form to fight.
The image of his mother-in-law battling a white-fronted tiger with upturned eyes, her own great red tail thrashing about, was still fresh in his mind. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Lu Yuan’s retainers, after finishing off the Beastmen around them, all froze in place, stunned.
They all knew that their Young Madam was a Half-Demon.
But this was the first time they had ever seen their Young Madam revert to her ancestral form, thrashing a great snake tail, killing so viciously while cursing up a storm in a local dialect.
Normally, the Young Madam was gentle and kind to them, a shy and sweet girl.
Now, her violent appearance made it hard for them to believe she was the same person.
After reverting to her ancestral form, Su Liyan could feel the blood rushing through her veins, and her explosive temper surged.
That was why Su Liyan never reverted easily; she was afraid she wouldn’t be able to control her own volatile temper.
However, after marrying Lu Yuan, when she was intimate with him...
...Lu Yuan’s favorite thing was to suck on his wife’s large snake tail. Instead of going berserk, Su Liyan would only become more eager to be with Lu Yuan for some "fun."
Even Su Liyan herself couldn’t explain these two different states she experienced after reverting.
At this moment, Su Liyan was moving at extreme speed, clearing a safe path forward for Lu Yuan with just her bare hands.
The retainers formed a circle around their Young Master with swords drawn, ready to cut down anyone who dared to advance.
