Marvel : Starting by Copying Wolverine's Power
Chapter 283: The Final Trump Card
Above the ruins, the black-armored Kang’s body began to swell.
Countless cracks split across the surface of his armor as swarms of black nanites poured from the gaps, gathering into a rolling cloud of dark mist in the air.
Every single nanoparticle glimmered with a deep violet light—the radiance of timeline energy compressed to its absolute limit.
"You think you’ve won?"
Black-Armored Kang’s voice echoed from within the cloud.
"I served the Council for decades. I devoured seven hundred timelines. This energy is enough to reduce all space-time to nothingness!"
The nanite cloud began to spread.
Wherever it passed, space itself started melting away.
Levi stood motionless, watching the black mist surge toward him, his expression calm.
"Decades of accumulation?" he said.
"That’s quite the inheritance."
He raised his right hand.
A golden alchemical array emerged in his palm.
The array rotated as runes continuously reassembled themselves, eventually forming a new structure—the core frequency of Mother Box technology, deciphered through alchemical principles.
"Unfortunately, you don’t understand one thing."
Levi curled his fingers slightly, and the array abruptly expanded, enveloping the entire cloud of black mist.
"The essence of technology is coding the laws of reality. And rewriting laws... happens to be my specialty."
Golden runes drilled into the mist, engraving new commands onto every nanoparticle.
Black-Armored Kang resisted with all his might, but Levi’s alchemical laws operated directly on the conceptual level, stripping control away from him.
Three seconds later, every nanoparticle stopped expanding.
Then, in perfect unison, they turned and surged toward Levi.
Each particle voluntarily dismantled itself, releasing its stored timeline energy to be absorbed by him as nourishment.
Black-Armored Kang let out an unwilling roar, his voice growing weaker and weaker.
When the final nanoparticle vanished, his very existence was erased from this dimension.
Levi closed his eyes, feeling the explosive surge of power inside him.
When he opened them again, his gaze settled on the young man in white standing at the far end of the ruins.
The silent Kang had been idly flipping a golden coin between his fingers.
The coin spun endlessly, its heads and tails flashing alternately.
Every flip sent out invisible ripples of probability.
"Don’t bother," Levi said.
"I can see what you’re doing. You’re using that coin to simulate every possible timeline branch, calculating the odds of every outcome."
White-Robed Kang’s fingers paused briefly before the coin resumed spinning, faster than before.
"How many simulations?" Levi asked.
"A thousand? Ten thousand?"
The coin stopped in midair.
White-Robed Kang looked up, a bitter smile on his face.
"One hundred thirty-seven thousand four hundred and twenty-one."
His voice was quiet.
"I lost every single one."
He released the coin.
It hit the ground with a crisp metallic ring.
"Heads means life. Tails means death. But no matter which side it lands on, the result is the same. Your existence has already surpassed probability itself."
He raised both hands.
"I surrender."
Levi walked over and bent down to pick up the coin.
The golden coin rested silently in his palm, its surface engraved with intricate causality runes.
"Interesting toy."
He tossed it back.
"Keep it. I’m not interested in killing someone who admits defeat."
White-Robed Kang caught it. "You’re letting me live?"
"Killing you serves no purpose. You’ve already seen reality clearly. A Kang who understands reality is worth more than a dead one."
Levi turned away as golden spatial laws condensed around White-Robed Kang, forming a transparent prison.
"But don’t think about running. You’ll stay here and watch what comes next."
White-Robed Kang remained silent for several seconds before nodding.
"You want to know what Time-Lord Kang summoned, don’t you?"
Levi halted.
"Smart."
"That wasn’t an ordinary Kang."
White-Robed Kang’s expression turned grave.
"The Council had a top-secret project. We once captured an Alioth—the void beast that devours pruned timelines."
"And then?"
"We conducted a mad experiment. We forcibly fused a Kang’s consciousness into Alioth’s core essence. That Kang gained the power to consume timelines, but the price was his humanity. The Void corrupted him until he became nothing but pure destructive will."
"We called him... the Survivor."
Levi turned around, excitement flickering in his eyes.
"Sounds powerful."
"Not powerful. Terrifying."
White-Robed Kang shook his head.
"The Survivor was sealed in the deepest reaches of the multiverse. Time-Lord Kang used sacrifice to break the seal. Once the Survivor emerges, it won’t distinguish friend from foe."
The moment he finished speaking, all of space-time began trembling violently.
A massive rift tore open the barrier of the multiverse above the ruins.
Purple void mist poured from the crack, swallowing even light itself wherever it spread.
A voice echoed from deep within the mist—low and hollow.
"My... food..."
A gigantic shadow emerged.
Humanoid in shape, its body was composed of countless twisted timelines, each wrapped around the remnants of devoured universes.
The Survivor had descended.
It stood over a hundred meters tall, woven entirely from warped timelines.
Its face had no features—only a massive vortex endlessly sucking in everything around it.
The ruins began silently disintegrating.
Not destroyed—
Erased from existence itself.
Levi looked up at the monster, a smile curling at the corner of his lips.
"Finally. A worthy opponent."
He stepped forward.
The instant his foot landed, the collapsing ruins beneath him stabilized. The encroaching void mist automatically dissipated the moment it entered a one-meter radius around him.
The Survivor’s vortex-face turned toward Levi and released a roar that shattered dimensions.
"Fresh... timelines... I will... devour..."
Countless timelines shot from its body like tentacles, lashing toward Levi.
Levi stood still, allowing them to approach.
The instant the first tentacle touched him—
Phoenix Force flames erupted.
Golden-red fire exploded from his body, surging backward along the tentacles.
Wherever the flames passed, twisted timelines ignited, releasing imprisoned fragments of universes.
The Survivor screamed in agony and frantically tried to retract its tentacles.
Too late.
The Phoenix flames had already burrowed into its main body, burning it from the inside.
"How many timelines have you devoured?" Levi’s voice echoed through the flames.
"A thousand? Ten thousand? A hundred thousand?"
He raised both hands, a miniature galaxy appearing in each palm.
"Then give them all back to me."
The two galaxies exploded into twin beams of light that shot skyward, intersecting in the heavens to form a colossal array.
The array covered the entire battlefield, trapping the Survivor within.
This wasn’t an attack formation.
It was a gigantic alchemical furnace.
Levi’s goal wasn’t to kill the Survivor.
He intended to completely deconstruct it and refine every ounce of devoured timeline energy.
The Survivor struggled wildly as void power erupted at full force.
But Levi’s alchemical laws had already infiltrated every corner of its body, locking onto its existence at the conceptual level.
"Useless."
Levi clenched his fingers, and the array began shrinking.
"Your essence is a fusion of Alioth and Kang. Alioth is Void. Kang is Order. They were fundamentally contradictory from the start—forced together by brute force."
"All I need to do... is amplify that contradiction to the extreme."
He flipped his right hand over.
Black Anti-Life Equation runes appeared in his palm.
The runes transformed into dark light and shot into the Survivor’s body.
The absolute domination property of the Anti-Life Equation began forcibly stripping away Kang’s consciousness from within the Survivor.
Without Kang’s mind serving as an anchor, Alioth’s void essence spiraled out of control and began devouring itself.
The Survivor’s body started collapsing.
Countless timelines broke free from within it, transforming into radiant rivers of light across the sky.
Fragments of consumed universes regained their freedom, falling like meteor showers.
Levi spread his arms wide as all the energy surged into his body.
His inner universe expanded frantically.
What had once been only the size of a single galaxy now swelled to encompass dozens.
When the final trace of energy was absorbed, the Survivor vanished completely.
Only a fist-sized purple crystal core remained, floating silently in the air.
It was Alioth’s origin core, containing pure Void power.
Levi reached out and grasped it.
[Void Power successfully copied]
"Void power..."
he murmured.
"An unexpected bonus."
He absorbed the crystal into his body and turned toward White-Robed Kang, still trapped within the spatial prison.
"Enjoy the show?"
White-Robed Kang nodded, pale-faced.
"You... what exactly are you?"
Levi smiled.
"A greedy traveler."
With a wave of his hand, the prison dissolved.
"You’re free. Go back and tell the other Kangs that Chronopolis no longer exists. The Council of Kangs should disband as well."
White-Robed Kang froze. "You’re letting me go?"
"I told you already. Killing someone who recognizes reality is pointless. Besides, I need a messenger to spread my story."
"Let every Kang know that the Devourer came here, consumed the Council, and destroyed the Survivor."
"Let them understand that the multiverse is no longer their playground."
He tore open a spatial rift, golden light spilling from within.
"Oh, right."
He glanced back at White-Robed Kang.
"Take good care of that coin. It may prove useful in the future."
Then he stepped into the rift and vanished from the ruins.
White-Robed Kang stood amidst the shattered remains of Chronopolis, clutching the golden coin, unable to recover for a long time.
He looked up at the slowly closing spatial rift.
The golden radiance gradually faded into the Void.
"Spread your story..."
he muttered with a bitter smile.
"You really are insane."
He turned and surveyed the surroundings.
The once-glorious Chronopolis was now nothing but scorched ruins.
Towering spires had collapsed. Floating platforms had crashed. Stabilized timelines had all been stripped away.
This was no longer the headquarters of the Council of Kangs.
It was a graveyard.
He lowered his eyes to the coin in his hand.
One side was engraved with Order.
The other side—
But now, no matter which side it landed on, it no longer mattered.
"Maybe... this is what the multiverse was always supposed to be."
He tucked the coin away.
At that moment, a faint pulse of energy emerged from deep within the ruins.
White-Robed Kang’s pupils contracted. Following the disturbance, he arrived at a pile of shattered debris.
Beneath it, he discovered a translucent cocoon of light.
Inside lay an unconscious Kang.
It was a backup fragment of Time-Lord Kang’s consciousness, separated before the sacrifice and hidden from Levi’s purge.
White-Robed Kang crouched down, staring at the face inside the cocoon.
A young face.
Tear stains still lingered at the corners of his eyes.
"So you were afraid of death too."
He chuckled softly and touched the cocoon.
The cocoon shattered, and the fragment of consciousness flowed into his body.
Countless memories flashed through his mind—Time-Lord Kang’s life, his ambition, his fear, and his final despair.
White-Robed Kang closed his eyes, digesting the memories.
When he opened them again, his gaze had become complicated.
"The Survivor... Void Kang... Alioth..."
he murmured.
"So the Council still had this many secrets."
He rose and looked into the depths of the multiverse.
Within that endless darkness, even greater threats still lurked.
The Anti-Monitor. Galactus. Even ancient beings long forgotten.
"Levi, you think destroying the Council of Kangs is the end?"
White-Robed Kang clenched his fist.
"You’ve only opened Pandora’s box."
He turned and tore open a temporal rift.
Beyond it lay an unfamiliar universe.
"If you want me to be your messenger, then I’ll spread your story properly."
He stepped into the rift, his voice echoing through the ruins.
"But at the same time, I’ll tell everyone this—"
"The Devourer may be powerful, but he is not invincible."
"The war of the multiverse... has only just begun."
