Marvel : Starting by Copying Wolverine's Power
Chapter 291: Law of Destruction
Golden fragments shot toward the void creatures.
Clark didn’t wait. He charged forward immediately.
The nearest target was a spider-like monster three stories tall, its eight legs covered in black barbs.
He threw a punch—and instantly felt something was different.
It wasn’t the pure physical impact he was used to. Something surged out from within him, pouring through his fist.
The spider’s shell didn’t shatter. Instead, it began disintegrating at the molecular level, dissolving into black mist.
Clark froze for a second.
Three incorporeal wraiths lunged at him from the side.
A crimson glow flashed in his eyes as heat vision erupted outward, this time carrying a faint golden aura.
The beams swept across them, and the three wraiths were erased from reality itself.
"It’s not just stronger."
Clark clenched his fist.
"My nature itself has changed."
Levi remained where he stood without moving.
More than a dozen void creatures abandoned Clark and rushed toward him instead.
He raised a finger and traced a dark red line through the void.
Where the trajectory passed, space itself vanished, leaving behind a pitch-black裂痕.
The leading void creature crashed into it and began collapsing from the head downward—erased at the conceptual level.
[Law of Destruction]
Turning existence into nonexistence.
Levi looked at his right hand.
This power was even more tyrannical than he had expected. One careless mistake and it could backlash against him.
But this wasn’t the time to hesitate.
He raised his head, his gaze piercing deep into the void.
There, a colossal will was awakening—the pseudo-consciousness of this universe, the watchdog left behind by the Anti-Monitor.
"If this is a trap... then I’ll devour the trap itself."
The Inner Universe’s devouring mode activated at full capacity.
Clark plunged into the swarm of void creatures.
A black mist creature extended countless tentacles to entangle him. He grabbed the thickest one and yanked hard.
The moment the tentacle touched his palm, it began disintegrating. The collapse spread rapidly, swallowing the entire creature in the blink of an eye.
He could feel it—every void creature he killed returned its energy to him, forming a cycle.
This was the adaptability Levi had spoken of.
Three spider-like creatures attacked from different directions simultaneously.
Clark took a deep breath. His heat vision transformed into three energy whips that wrapped precisely around the creatures. Tighten. Collapse. Absorb.
The power inside him was growing.
This was qualitative evolution.
Levi raised his hand and drew a circle a hundred meters wide in the void.
The void creatures within the ring let out silent shrieks as they collapsed from the inside out.
Their very existence was being denied.
He opened his eyes and looked farther ahead.
Hundreds of void creatures were gathering, and behind them, a massive shadow slowly emerged.
A giant beast the size of a small asteroid, its body stitched together from warped fragments of space and shattered laws. Six enormous crimson eyes locked onto Levi.
"Perfect timing."
Levi raised his right hand.
The destruction rune in his palm erupted with dark red light, enveloping his entire arm and condensing into a spear forged from the pure concept of destruction itself.
"Cover me!"
Clark didn’t waste words. He positioned himself in front of Levi.
His heat vision swept outward in a fan-shaped barrage, forcing all nearby creatures back.
The beast’s six crimson eyes fired black beams simultaneously.
Clark instantly appeared in their path, crossing his arms before his chest as a pale golden energy barrier unfolded, forcibly blocking the attack.
"Hurry!"
He gritted his teeth as the energy inside him drained rapidly.
Levi didn’t hesitate.
He hurled the spear.
The Spear of Destruction became a streak of dark crimson light that tore through the void.
The beast unleashed even more violent black beams in an attempt to intercept it, but wherever the spear passed, the beams themselves were erased.
The spear pierced the beast’s chest.
No explosion. No shockwave.
Only a soul-shaking silence.
Dark red cracks spread from the wound, covering the creature’s entire body.
The beast let out a soundless wail as its body began to disappear.
But just as it was about to vanish completely—
The entire dead universe began to tremble.
Countless shattered planetary remnants, twisted spacecraft metal, and frozen nebular dust all began resonating.
Levi’s expression changed.
The universe itself was awakening.
The Anti-Monitor’s true contingency plan had finally revealed its fangs.
"What is this?" Clark flew back beside him.
"The true will of this universe."
Countless black tentacles stretched out from every direction, condensed from the pure concept of nothingness.
Wherever the tentacles passed, space itself disappeared.
Clark’s heat vision struck one of them. Golden cracks spread across its surface, but instead of collapsing, it began absorbing the energy.
"Physical attacks are ineffective!"
Levi slashed multiple dark red trajectories through the void, forming blades of destruction that cut toward the tentacles.
The blades severed them cleanly.
But for every one cut apart, ten more emerged elsewhere.
"We can’t keep wasting energy like this."
He closed his eyes and sank his consciousness into the Inner Universe.
The power of laws began operating at a frenzied pace—
Space. Time. Life. Death. Alchemy. Mind. Reality. Power. Devouring. Soul. Darkness. Destruction.
Centered around the concept of Greed, the laws began to merge.
Levi opened his eyes.
They had turned into pure dark gold.
He raised both hands.
The entrance to the Inner Universe burst open from his chest, transforming into a ten-meter-wide black vortex.
"Then let’s see... who devours whom."
[Concept of Greed]fully unleashed.
The vortex generated terrifying suction. The black tentacles were seized one after another and dragged into the Inner Universe.
Not just the tentacles.
The surrounding void creatures, shattered debris, warped space—even the foundational energy of the universe itself—began to be devoured.
The dead universe’s will resisted frantically. More tentacles extended from the depths, no longer attacking but attempting to flee.
But the devouring power of Greed was indiscriminate.
Once locked onto, escape was impossible.
As Levi’s internal laws rotated wildly, the Inner Universe began expanding.
The Law of Space constructed the framework.
The Law of Time accelerated digestion.
The Law of Death suppressed resistance.
The Law of Alchemy decomposed and reassembled.
The Law of Destruction erased opposition...
In the end, the very origin of the dead universe was converted at astonishing speed into nourishment for the Phoenix Force.
Clark could feel it too.
Through his resonance with Levi’s Inner Universe, the energy inside his own body was increasing in sync.
The pale golden power of law grew stronger and stronger, gradually forming intricate patterns beneath his skin.
"Levi! Your body..."
Levi didn’t answer.
His body began glowing brighter and brighter until he transformed into a dark golden sun illuminating the entire dead universe.
The devouring lasted three hours.
When the final black tentacle was dragged into the Inner Universe, the light around Levi gradually faded.
He descended onto a golden platform—a temporary foothold he had created in the void using the power of his Inner Universe.
Clark flew over and examined him carefully.
Levi’s appearance hadn’t changed much, but his aura was completely different.
If before he had felt like a bottomless abyss, now he was like a rotating black hole.
"You okay?"
"Better than expected."
"The origin of this dead universe is larger than the combined total of five nodes."
"The quality isn’t as high, but the quantity makes up for it."
He looked around.
The dead universe, once filled with broken debris and warped space, was now empty.
All matter, energy—even space itself—had been completely devoured.
Only pure nothingness remained.
"This can’t even be called a universe anymore. It’s more like an emptied shell."
"Then how do we leave?"
"No rush. There’s one last thing."
He closed his eyes again, sinking his consciousness into the Inner Universe.
The devoured origin of the dead universe was being refined by the Concept of Greed. Most of it had transformed into nutrients, doubling the size of the Inner Universe.
But a small portion resisted refinement—
Fragments of the Anti-Monitor’s will.
Each carried terrifying destructive power, struggling violently inside the Inner Universe and trying to corrupt its lawful foundation.
Fortunately, Levi possessed the Phoenix Force.
As another multiversal-level power, the Phoenix Force was fully capable of erasing multiversal will fragments.
Levi guided them all toward the destruction rune in his right palm.
The rune rotated, becoming a miniature black hole. Empowered by the Phoenix Force Levi infused into it, the fragments were quickly annihilated and devoured.
A terrifying fluctuation exploded from his body.
Clark was blasted backward by the shockwave, smashing through the golden platform behind him.
He stabilized himself and stared at Levi in shock.
The destruction rune in Levi’s palm had changed from dark red to pure black.
Inside it seemed to reside a genuine abyss.
"The Law of Destruction has completely stabilized."
"And I gained something extra."
He raised his right hand and lightly sliced through the void.
A black裂缝 appeared out of nowhere, and beyond it lay a strange starry sky.
"What’s that?"
"A passage to another universe."
"While devouring this dead universe, I extracted some multiversal coordinate information from the Anti-Monitor’s will fragments."
He paused.
"Including the locations where the other teammates were sent."
Clark’s eyes lit up.
"You can find them?"
"Yes."
"But not now."
Levi looked into the depths of the裂缝.
"The Anti-Monitor’s true body is watching this place."
"If I search for the others now, I might lead him straight to them."
"Then what do we do?"
"Stabilize our strength first."
"Although my Inner Universe expanded after devouring this place, its foundation still isn’t stable enough. I need time to digest everything."
"And..."
He looked at Clark.
"The power inside you also needs time to adapt."
"Your resonance with my Inner Universe is becoming stronger and stronger. If we don’t control it, problems could arise."
Clark lowered his head and looked at his hands.
Pale golden patterns flickered beneath his skin.
"How long?"
"Three days."
"After three days, we’ll go find Thor and Jean."
"They’re the closest... and..."
He paused.
"I can sense that their situation isn’t looking good."
Clark nodded.
Levi raised a hand and carved another裂缝 into the void. On the other side was a barren yet stable starfield.
"Let’s go. We need somewhere safe to fully digest these powers."
The two stepped into the裂缝 and vanished.
The裂缝 closed behind them, and the dead universe sank into absolute silence once more.
---
In a dark corner of the multiverse, the Anti-Monitor opened his eyes.
He had sensed it—
That greedy one had not only survived the trap but devoured it, causing his strength to surge once again.
"How interesting."
His deep voice echoed through the void.
"You think devouring one of my digestive organs is enough to escape my grasp?"
"No. You’ve merely made yourself even more delicious."
He raised a hand.
Five points of light appeared in the void.
Two of them were rapidly approaching each other—Levi and Clark.
The other three were scattered through deeper, more dangerous dimensions.
"Let me see..."
"How far you can move across my chessboard."
He lightly tapped one of the points of light.
The surrounding space immediately began to twist.
It was the location where Thor and Jean had been sent.
