Marvel : Starting by Copying Wolverine's Power
Chapter 310: Void Walkers
At the edge of the spatial rift, golden light flickered on and off.
It resembled a gruesome wound torn open by brute force.
Levi was the first to step through.
His foot landed upon the void itself, yet he stood as steady as a mountain.
Clark, Thor, Tony, Strange, and Wanda followed one after another, every one of them wearing a grim expression.
Only Adam, cradled in Wanda’s arms, behaved strangely.
The child, still only recently born, neither cried nor fussed.
His eyes were wide open, his little head constantly turning, as though sensing something ordinary people could never perceive.
Levi noticed that the Void Origin within Adam was fluctuating violently, nearly three times faster than normal.
Ever since they had left Earth, the boy had remained in this unusually excited state.
Levi silently committed the detail to memory.
The scene before them was simply horrifying.
This had once been a prosperous star region.
According to the Watchers’ memories, dozens of habitable planets had existed here, home to hundreds of intelligent civilizations connected by countless interstellar routes.
Now, all of it was gone.
As though someone had pressed a cosmic delete key.
The planets still revolved along their orbits, but their surfaces were barren.
No oceans.
No atmosphere.
No signs of life.
It was as if a giant eraser had scrubbed them clean, leaving behind only gray, lifeless spheres.
Clark’s fists clenched tightly.
He could hear them.
The lingering echoes trapped upon those planets.
Billions of final screams frozen within folds of spacetime by some horrifying force.
Tony’s faceplate retracted.
His face had turned pale green.
"This..."
He opened his mouth but ultimately found no words.
Some sights rendered even curses meaningless.
The Eye of Agamotto flashed frantically between Strange’s brows.
After several seconds, he spoke with difficulty.
"This isn’t simple destruction."
"It’s erasure. Complete erasure at the conceptual level."
"Given enough time, even the universe itself will forget they ever existed."
Wanda unconsciously moved closer to Levi.
Adam suddenly fell silent, staring intently toward the distant darkness while clutching his mother’s clothing.
Levi examined the boy once more.
The fluctuations within Adam’s Void Origin had reached their peak.
And they displayed a peculiar pattern.
He was resonating with some kind of energy emanating from the darkness.
"We’ve got company!"
Thor’s voice interrupted Levi’s thoughts.
The God of Thunder tightened his grip on Stormbreaker and fixed his gaze toward the three o’clock direction.
Space itself was twisting.
Levi raised his head.
His silver eyes activated the Authority of Observation instantly.
He saw them.
Within the distortion, a group of creatures was rapidly approaching.
They possessed no fixed form.
Each resembled a mass of solidified darkness streaked with crimson light.
Every one stood three to four meters tall.
There were well over a hundred of them.
A name surfaced from the depths of the Watchers’ memories. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Annihilation Guards.
The Anti-Monitor’s elite troops.
Specialists in eliminating civilizations unwilling to be "formatted."
The instant the Guards appeared, the fluctuations within Adam reached their highest point.
Levi immediately realized something.
The child possessed an innate sensitivity to antimatter.
"Attack!"
Thor charged first.
Stormbreaker carved a dazzling arc through space as the six Infinity Stones shone brilliantly along its edge.
The strike was powerful enough to split a planet apart.
The axe slammed directly into the foremost Guard.
Yet the expected explosion never came.
The dark mass merely trembled slightly, like a ripple spreading across water.
The attack had been completely absorbed.
Thor’s expression changed dramatically.
He tried to pull Stormbreaker back but found the blade firmly trapped.
A black arm suddenly shot out from the darkness and slammed into his chest.
Boom!
Thor was sent flying backward, tumbling several times through space before regaining control.
A clear handprint smoked ominously upon his Asgardian armor.
"This is bad."
Tony’s voice sounded through the comm channel, unusually serious.
"These things are immune to conventional physical and energy attacks."
Before he even finished speaking, he had already switched combat modes.
The Arc Reactor on his chest erupted with light.
A beam infused with Phoenix Force energy blasted forward.
Golden-red radiance swallowed more than a dozen Guards.
A second later, they calmly walked out of the explosion.
Completely unharmed.
Tony was silent for two seconds.
"We need a new plan."
Strange’s Vishanti spells dissolved almost instantly.
Wanda’s Chaos Magic could only slow them down.
Clark had it worst of all.
Heat vision and freeze breath were completely ineffective.
Whenever he engaged in close combat, his punches felt as though they were sinking into a swamp before being rebounded by violent antimatter energy.
Even Silver Superman was beginning to accumulate wounds that healed unusually slowly.
"These things are a nightmare!" Clark growled.
The number of Guards continued increasing.
Their encirclement tightened.
Throughout it all, Levi remained motionless.
Streams of information flooded through his silver eyes at incredible speed.
Composition: Antimatter and dark-energy hybrid.
Energy pattern: External force conversion mechanism.
Logical flaw...
He frowned.
Their defense was nearly perfect.
Conventional methods truly were useless.
But the more perfect a system appeared, the more fatal its weakness became.
He pushed his observation deeper into their internal structure.
Outer shell.
Energy layers.
Circulation network.
Then he found it.
The core.
Deep within every Guard existed a fist-sized node.
A vulnerability composed entirely of pure Void.
However, the core never remained stationary.
Its position shifted constantly during movement.
Ordinary attacks could never reliably target it.
Unless—
A faint smile appeared on Levi’s face.
His psychic power spread outward like countless invisible threads, linking directly to the minds of every ally.
"Listen carefully."
His voice exploded inside their heads alongside a detailed three-dimensional structural model.
"The weakness is the core."
"The outer shell is immune to attacks. The core isn’t. Destroy it, and they collapse."
"Where is it?" Thor demanded immediately.
"It’s different for every one of them, and constantly moving."
Levi’s voice remained calm and confident.
"But I can track them."
"From this moment onward..."
"I’m your eyes."
The battlefield changed instantly.
Thor locked onto the highlighted red point in his mind.
Instead of sweeping attacks, Stormbreaker thrust with surgical precision.
Thrust!
The axe pierced through darkness and struck the core directly.
The Guard shuddered violently before collapsing into a puddle of black liquid.
"It works!" Thor roared.
But the Guards immediately adapted.
Their bodies twisted in bizarre ways to shield their cores.
"Fifteen degrees right."
Levi’s guidance arrived instantly.
Thor adjusted and scored another kill.
Clark appeared beside him, his silver form intercepting counterattacks head-on.
"They’re learning!" Clark gritted out.
The Guards’ reactions grew faster and faster.
Levi’s burden increased dramatically.
He had to simultaneously track over a hundred moving cores while coordinating the attacks of five different combatants.
"My energy reserves are down to forty percent," Tony reported tensely.
"At most, we’ve got ten minutes."
Strange’s immobilization spells lasted only seconds.
Wanda’s attention was increasingly divided by Adam’s unusual behavior.
The battle descended into a brutal stalemate.
"Levi!"
Wanda suddenly cried out.
"Adam—!"
Levi turned.
At some point, Adam had slipped free from her arms.
The tiny child floated in space.
His eyes had become completely black.
The Void Origin within him surged wildly.
Even more shocking, the black liquid remains left behind by destroyed Guards were being drawn toward him by an invisible force.
He was absorbing antimatter.
And with astonishing efficiency.
The moment the remnants touched him, they disintegrated and merged into his body.
Adam’s aura skyrocketed.
"This kid..." Tony stared in disbelief.
Levi made no move to stop him.
He could sense that Adam wasn’t being harmed.
Quite the opposite.
His Origin was becoming more stable.
This was an innate gift.
But now wasn’t the time to study it.
The Guards continued multiplying while the team’s condition steadily worsened.
"That should be enough."
Levi raised his right hand.
A golden portal appeared above his palm.
The gate to his Inner Universe.
Opened.
Light spread outward, forming a gigantic vortex.
Countless glowing particles emerged from within like a swarm of released fireflies.
When their true forms appeared, everyone froze.
Each stood roughly two meters tall.
Their bodies were semi-transparent.
Golden-red flames flowed within them like blood.
Void Walkers.
The first lifeforms Levi had ever created within his Inner Universe.
The moment they appeared, the fearless Annihilation Guards recoiled.
It was unmistakable.
Fear.
The Void Walkers wasted no time.
They charged.
Then opened their mouths.
And devoured.
To them, the antimatter-based Guards appeared to be the greatest delicacy imaginable.
Tony’s faceplate retracted once again.
His jaw nearly dropped.
"Those are your secret weapon?"
Levi smiled.
"My children."
The battle rapidly transformed into a one-sided feeding frenzy.
The Void Walkers and Adam became two highly efficient vacuum cleaners, cleaning the battlefield of every remaining Guard.
Adam soon returned to normal, babbling and demanding hugs.
Yet the Origin within him had become three times stronger than before.
"When exactly did you raise an army like this?" Thor asked, his expression complicated.
"I keep them in my Inner Universe for fun."
Levi answered casually.
Yet his gaze had already shifted toward the heart of the darkness.
His silver eyes operated at full power.
And there, he discovered something wrong.
The remains of the erased planets hadn’t disappeared.
Guided by some unseen force, they were gathering within the darkness.
Arranging themselves.
Reassembling.
This wasn’t random accumulation.
It was a gigantic and intricate geometric structure.
Levi immediately recognized the outline.
An altar.
A colossal altar built from the corpses of countless universes.
"He’s not destroying universes."
Levi’s voice grew frighteningly low.
"He’s building something."
Tony immediately asked,
"Building what?"
Levi remained silent for a moment before turning toward Strange.
"Have you ever heard of the Beyond Realm?"
Strange’s expression changed instantly.
"The space beyond the Multiverse... according to legend, it’s where the Beyonders reside."
"The Anti-Monitor isn’t trying to destroy everything."
Levi spoke each word deliberately.
"He’s trying to open a passage."
"He wants to contact the Beyonders."
Silence.
Absolute silence.
If the Anti-Monitor truly succeeded, they wouldn’t merely face a cosmic tyrant.
They would be confronting the creators of the Multiverse itself.
"The altar isn’t finished yet."
"We still have time."
Levi glanced down at Adam, who remained fixated on the darkness.
Adam’s strange sensitivity.
The Void Walkers’ appetite.
The altar.
Everything seemed connected by some hidden thread.
"Let’s go."
He raised his head.
His gaze locked onto the deepest part of the darkness.
"Time to meet the big guy."
Another spatial rift tore open.
The team surged forward, racing straight toward the heart of the darkness.
