Chapter 355: Chapter 357: Deadly Boyfriend

She felt her blood run cold, a chill shooting straight to her head.

Fear and panic surged through her, and for a moment, she couldn’t even breathe.

’How absurd. She’d come to meet her boyfriend’s family, only for him to lead her into a tomb.’

Fear washed over Ming Yue’s face, and in the livestream chat, viewers frantically questioned Su Nian.

[Host, can’t you tell her to run for it?]

[How is she supposed to run? The host isn’t even with her. The second she runs, all those ghosts will be on her tail!]

[There’s no way she can handle them all on her own!]

[And I’m guessing this tomb isn’t easy to get out of, either.]

[I’ve been meaning to ask, why doesn’t this ’house’ even have a proper door?]

Seeing the viewer’s comment, Ming Yue instinctively glanced at the entrance she had just come through.

There really was no door—just a hole in the shape of a doorway.

’So... am I really in a tomb?’

Ming Yue’s panic intensified. Her legs felt like jelly, and she nearly collapsed to her knees, shaking her head.

"Don’t worry. They won’t harm you for the time being. Sit still and don’t make a sound. You’ll have a chance to escape tonight."

Su Nian could indeed see a black aura covering her face, but it wasn’t dense enough. The time for disaster to strike hadn’t arrived yet.

"Make sure your phone stays charged."

Su Nian added.

"Okay, I brought a power bank with me."

Ming Yue’s voice trembled as she spoke.

"Host, what do I do? Will I really be able to get home?"

She spoke in a whisper, glancing outside from time to time, terrified the person out there would hear her.

She could forget about getting engaged to her boyfriend. What she was truly afraid of was not making it out of here alive.

Su Nian said, "I won’t be taking any other clients tonight. I’ll be watching your stream until the time is right, and then I’ll tell you when to run."

Su Nian then addressed her screen, explaining to the viewers.

"I have to keep watch for a long time tonight, so I’ll only be doing one prize drawing. For anyone else who needs help, you can come find me at the Daoist Temple tomorrow."

By now, Ming Yue was on the verge of a breakdown.

"Thank you, thank you, Host."

Then she looked back at Su Nian on her screen.

"Master, is this... really a tomb?"

Ming Yue barely dared to speak the word. Su Nian gave a solemn nod and said,

"Place your phone on the coffin. Now, I’m going to teach you how to break the illusion clouding your vision."

"Ah, okay! Okay!!"

The girl complied, frantically placing her phone on the so-called bed.

’The moment she set it down, she felt something was off. This bed was too strange. What kind of normal bed was this deeply indented? This really was a coffin!’

She found a good angle to prop up her phone, then began performing the Sealing along with Su Nian.

Her movements were slow, but Su Nian patiently guided her. Finally, Su Nian said, "Now, recite the spell with me!"

"Supreme Celestial Stars, respond without ceasing. Expel evil and bind wraiths, preserve my life and protect my body. May my wisdom be clear, my spirit be at peace. May my three souls be eternal, and my mortal spirit never falter."

Su Nian recited one line, and Ming Yue repeated the next. At the very end, following Su Nian’s instructions, she clumsily reached out, tapped her own forehead, and then drew her hands apart in front of her eyes.

Instantly, the scene before her eyes transformed.

The live comments chimed in.

[But Host, our view hasn’t changed at all.]

Su Nian nodded. "Good point. Let me take care of the camera’s view as well."

Su Nian took some clear water and seemed to wipe the camera lens with it. A few seconds later, an entirely different scene appeared before both Ming Yue and the viewers.

It was like being inside a dirt-filled cave. Everything was crumbling and dilapidated, looking as if it could collapse at any moment.

And right in the middle, sure enough, was a coffin. It was clearly ancient.

Much of the black lacquer had flaked off. On the padding laid inside it, small bugs were crawling around.

The sight alone made Ming Yue want to vomit.

Upon seeing the coffin, she stumbled out of the room on pure instinct.

[She’s so brave, she actually dares to go outside!]

[I’d be scared to death. Just watching this is terrifying!]

[Damn, she really is the woman who’d dare to have a meal in a tomb!]

[I’m trembling all over watching this. I think it’s really a tomb!]

[The host would never lie. If she said it’s a tomb, it’s definitely a tomb!]

[We get to explore a tomb, risk-free!]

Ming Yue held up her phone, touching the Bluetooth headset securely in her ear.

She was already outside. The thought of going back in felt awkward.

She was also afraid of attracting their attention, so she just pretended she had come out intentionally.

Holding her phone, she walked a little further out. Sure enough, the scene was nothing like what she had seen before the spell.

The crumbling dirt walls looked as if they could collapse at any second. And the television hanging on the wall...

...was clearly a piece of burnt, tattered cardboard, with ash still drifting from it.

It had just been hung on the wall.

Then she looked again at the old woman she had just been calling "ma’am" in a soft voice.

She was now a grotesque sight. Her flesh had all dried and blackened, revealing the bone beneath. Ming Yue could even see bugs crawling on her eyes.

They crawled in and out of her skull. Her eye sockets were dry and sunken, and fat, white maggots squirmed in and out of them as well. The sight nearly made Ming Yue collapse.

Her boyfriend, however, seemed relatively normal, apart from being covered head to toe in dirt.

But when she saw the so-called feast on the table, she nearly threw up.

Sure enough, it was a pile of rotting carcasses—centipedes, snakes, scorpions, and spiders. The sight was enough to make Ming Yue faint.

Her boyfriend, however, remained sitting there, stiff and upright. He smiled at her, and his rigid head tilted slightly, as if he’d noticed something different about her.

"Babe, what’s wrong?"

His voice was as magnetic and pleasant as always, but his lips barely moved. The sound seemed to emanate directly from his throat rather than from his mouth.

This terrifying realization almost made Ming Yue pass out. She stumbled back a few steps, her face draining of color, but she was still forcing herself to appear calm.

"It’s nothing. It was too stuffy in there, so I came out for some air."

Her voice trembled as she spoke, but she forced it down, struggling to maintain a calm facade.

"Oh, is that right? Good, then!"

His tone was the same as ever. But in the next second, this seemingly normal boyfriend...

...suddenly stretched out his long neck.

His body remained seated upright three meters away, but his neck and head had stretched all the way to be right in front of the girl’s face.
