Maybe I really am a Villian
Chapter 54: You guys are too soft hearted [3]
Asher took the bracelet and transferred all the ice cream inside it into his subspace. Then he handed the bracelet back to the waiter and said, "I don’t need it. I already have enough space in my storage."
The waiter immediately accepted the bracelet without saying anything, afraid of offending Asher by refusing him.
Then Asher took out a black card and extended the hand holding it toward the waiter.
"I’ll pay for my order with this," he said calmly.
After that, he glanced at the broken table before turning toward the two girls who had come with Cedric.
"And as for the damage caused by that idiot," Asher said with a faint smile, "you can collect the compensation from those two girls. Since they seem to be his friends, I doubt they would refuse to pay for their friend’s mistake."
The moment those words left Asher mouth, the whole restaurant became even quieter.
The two girls immediately stiffened after noticing everyone looking towards them.
One of the girls clenched her fist before forcing a smile on her face and said, "Young master Asher, we were not the one who damaged the restaurant, so why should we pay for his actions?"
Asher looked at her calmly and replied, "Then bring that idiot back and make him pay himself."
The girl expression froze instantly.
Before she could say anything else, the other girl hurriedly said, "We will pay for the damages."
The first girl looked at her in shock and said, "Why should we—"
But before she could finish speaking, the second girl tightly grabbed her arm and whispered through clenched teeth, "Do you seriously want to argue with him right now?"
Asher then handed the black card towards the waiter.
The waiter carefully accepted it with both hands like he was holding something extremely precious.
After confirming the payment, the waiter handed the card back to Asher.
Asher took the card, then turned to his teammates and said, "Let’s go. I really want to sleep after eating."
Aria, Noah, and Adam simply nodded and stood up from their seats.
Then the four of them headed outside the restaurant.
After four of them left, only then did everyone inside the restaurant sighed in relief.
Asher and the others started heading back to the Academy in silence.
For some time, no one said anything. Then Aria suddenly spoke.
"You really went easy on Cedric. I thought you would at least cut off all his limbs."
Noah and Adam both froze after hearing Aria’s words.
At the same time, the same thought appeared in both of their minds.
"That was going easy on him? Has she gone crazy too?"
But after remembering what Asher had done to Celestine, Leon, and Kevin last time, they realized that, by his standards, he actually had gone easy on Cedric.
Asher stopped walking, then turned toward them with a confused expression on his face and asked, "What do you guys mean? Since when did cutting off limbs and tongues become part of my retaliation against people for disturbing me?"
All three of them looked at him in confusion, not understanding what he meant.
Asher became even more confused after seeing their reactions to his statement.
Then he said, "Are you guys really idiots, or are you just acting like idiots right now to prank me?"
Noah immediately replied, "What kind of nonsense are you talking about now? Explain properly what you mean."
Asher looked at them for a moment, then he said, "Well, let me first tell you about a novel I used to read before I dropped it."
Aria, not understanding what the novel had to do with the explanation, asked, "Is the novel related to the explanation?"
Asher then replied, "Yeah, and it will also help me understand something about you after I ask some questions about the story of the novel."
None of the three of them understood what the last part meant, but they still nodded, knowing that it was related to his explanation.
Then Asher said, "In that novel, the MC and a girl were dating in high school, but it was not a romantic relationship. It was just a cover due to their political status, but the MC still trusted the girl more than anyone else. Then on a random day during the last month of their final year of high school, he entered the classroom and found that girl kissing a boy from his class. When he questioned the girl about why she did that, she just said that it just happened. The MC was devastated, not because she cheated in their fake relationship, but because the only person he trusted in the world also broke his trust."
Asher then continued, "Then they stopped talking to each other. The next year, they both entered the same Academy, and the boy from their class whom the girl kissed also entered the same Academy with them. Then they all ended up on the same team for a mission. During the mission, the MC and that girl got separated from their other team members, and the girl tried to heal their relationship. After just some fights between them, he finally forgave her."
Then Asher stopped talking.
Noah looked at him and asked with anticipation, "What happened next?"
Asher looked at him and said, "I don’t know. I dropped the novel after this."
Noah then asked, "Why? It was just getting good. They were about to become friends again, so why would you drop it?"
Asher looked at him and replied, "Because I could not understand the reasoning behind the dicision of the MC."
Then Asher continued, "So what I wanted to ask is, what would you have done if you were in the place of the MC?"
Noah looked at him in confusion, then answered, "I would have taken the same decision as the MC."
Asher simply nodded at his answer, then turned toward Adam.
Adam answered in a calm voice, "I would’ve just stayed away from her, even if I had to leave the Academy."
