Mercenary's War - Chapter 2204 - 2180: Exciting Stuff
The current situation has become a tangled mess, and you can’t rely on bribe plans anymore. Adaptability is the only option.
Now, including Justin, Gao Yang and his group look like a Sunset Red Travel Group. The four Black Demons, plus the outfits of Gao Yang and Justin, make a total of six old men together, and you have to add Hammer the cripple.
Such a group to fight Lorenzo and Claudio for control of the Cicero Family, honestly, only Gao Yang and his band of eccentrics can do it; anyone else would be scared to death.
Off the plane and out of the airport, Gao Yang whispered, "I need to get a gun first; I don’t feel secure without a gun."
Yarebin glanced at Gao Yang, whispered, "Impressive."
When Yarebin speaks Russian, with a kind of slow, cultured yet blatantly disdainful emphasis, Gao Yang really can’t learn from it, nor can he refute it.
With a helpless smile, Gao Yang whispered, "So what should we do first?"
Yarebin closed his eyes to ponder for a moment, said, "I don’t know where Lorenzo is, I’ve contacted the necessary people, so next, let’s wait on Mario’s family’s route."
Gao Yang cautiously said, "Sorry, I don’t understand how that’s useful?"
Yarebin sighed, indifferent, "Not very useful, but not completely useless. The notice has been sent out. If someone goes to Mario’s house, it shows they are determined to lean towards Claudio. Such people, if encountered, can be easily eliminated. If not encountered, there’s nothing we can do, but it’s better than sitting idle doing nothing."
Gao Yang smiled bitterly, said, "This really isn’t very useful. We don’t even have a gun."
Yarebin waved his hand, said, "Guns aren’t a problem, we can borrow them."
Gao Yang immediately said, "Where to pick them up?"
Yarebin lifted his cane and pointed, said, "Let’s go, you’ll find out soon."
They hailed two taxis, and the taxis went directly to the Russian Embassy.
Getting out of the car, Gao Yang stood next to Yarebin, whispered, "This is a bit high-profile, isn’t it?"
Yarebin lifted his eyes, said, "What’s high-profile about it? One of you go in, I won’t show myself."
Hammer eagerly said, "I’ll go, I’ll go, is there a password? There should be, right? Otherwise, who would lend us anything?"
Yarebin shook his head, "There’s no password, just ask to see the ambassador. If you meet him, say you want to borrow some arms. If he doesn’t ask, forget it. If he asks, say whatever you feel like."
Hammer rubbed his hands, excitedly said, "I wonder if they haven’t even changed the old passwords."
Tarta impatiently said, "Why so complicated? If you don’t go, I will."
Hammer immediately limped over with his cane up to the embassy’s entrance, said a few words to the guard, then a person came out and led him into the embassy. After a short while, Hammer came back out, still limping.
Yarebin looked at Hammer and asked, "How did it go, did you borrow anything?"
Hammer holding a note appeared bewildered, said, "They just gave me a phone number, didn’t say anything else, just told me to leave. I didn’t even say the password or anything; I just said I wanted to borrow something, not even specifying what, and he gave me a phone number then got up and left."
Yarebin smiled, said, "Was it the ambassador?"
"No, counselor, it was the counselor’s office."
Yarebin waved his hand, said, "No need to wait, just make the call."
Hammer, confused, made a phone call with his mobile, hung up, and said, "The person who answered gave an address, didn’t say anything else. This isn’t the KGB’s style; we don’t connect like this. What’s the deal?"
Tarta patted Hammer, said, "You’re out of touch with the KGB; let’s go."
The group continued to take a taxi to the given address, getting off, Yarebin again stood by, said, "I’ll stay here; you guys go fetch the stuff, make it quick."
Gao Yang, being the youngest, had to move, so he went along with the curious Hammer, plus Tarta and Vasily, and the four of them went over and rang the doorbell.
The door opened, a burly man opened it, looked them over, and cautiously said, "What do you want?"
Hammer seemed unsure momentarily, then Tarta promptly said, "Borrow guns."
The burly man stepped aside, opening the door, said, "Upstairs on the second floor."
The man sat behind the door again, as they climbed up a wooden staircase, Hammer puzzledly said, "It shouldn’t be like this, this is too strange, too strange!"
Up to the second floor, there was a hall, only a middle-aged man around forty sitting behind a table, upon seeing them, the man stood up and directly said, "What do you need."
"Guns, fake medicine, cars, and assassination tools, anything really, let’s take a look."
"This way."
The middle-aged man opened a door, leading them into a bedroom, he pressed a button on a drawer of a bedside table, with a soft click, he walked over to the wall, pushed it open revealing a small door, then he casually pressed a button inside to turn on a light, said, "Everything is in here; the items aren’t comprehensive. Help yourselves."
Gao Yang first walked in, finding behind the door was a very narrow space, hard for a person to turn around, but it’s very long, at least fourteen-five meters. Plus, both sides of the enclosed space were filled with cabinets, and the cabinets were packed full of all kinds of weapons he knew.
Tarta waved his hand, said to Gao Yang, "Don’t dawdle, quickly grab what you need."
None of the guns in the secret room were Soviet Russian; Gao Yang grabbed two handguns, one 1911, and one Glock 17, took a rifle, German make, HK417, felt unsatisfied, so he picked up a real sniper rifle, British make, AWM.
Bullets had to be taken, grenades too; after struggling out of the tight space, Gao Yang saw what he was carrying, somewhat embarrassed, said, "Should I abandon some more?"
Tarta shook his head, signaled Vasily to take more items, then said to the middle-aged man standing next to him, "Are we taking too many things, will we have issues balancing accounts? We can return them after use."
The middle-aged man hastily said, "No need to return them! Please don’t return them! I don’t want to know what you’ll do with these. Anyway, please don’t return them; it’s alright, we will get special funding to cover the loss of those items. Please, do not bring them back; thank you."
Tarta stroked his chin, said, "Is that so? Then do you have more exciting things here? If so, tell me where it is."
