Chapter 1128: Cycle Of Reincarnation
Everyone could only stare at Irene as she deactivated her ability; she stood calmly as her long crimson hair danced to the rhythm of the wind, her posture composed as though she had done nothing of significance, yet she bore a small, satisfied smile on her face, showing she was indeed pleased with their improvement.
Everyone couldn’t help but feel like she had received the greatest power-up out of all of them. Being able to resurrect someone, bringing them back to life despite their True Death, was something no one could have ever pulled off, aside from perhaps people like Anthony. Indeed, such a feat transcended ordinary comprehension and bordered on the absolute, as it defied the very limitations that governed existence itself.
Not even Klaus, someone who stood above the Planetary level, could match such a feat; after all, to bring someone back to life from True Death, one had to influence the Cycle of Reincarnation, an entity that stood on the level of the River Of Time. Such was how ridiculously powerful Irene had become, her existence now brushing against domains that were once considered untouchable and beyond the grasp of even the most elite beings.
Besides, being able to reverse beings to their previous state, and even their powers, was ridiculous in itself. The Angels whom she had faced before, if they attacked her now, she wouldn’t even need to lift a finger; her life sucking passive state would simply drain them of all life force, and if she activated her Reversion ability, they would all be reduced to whatever stage in life she chose, as though their very existence were nothing more than clay in her hands, to be reshaped at will.
So, her combat power had also increased in tandem with her healing powers, forming a balance that made her both a savior and a nightmare, depending entirely on which side one stood.
"Sigh, I think the men lost to the women this time," Collins couldn’t help but comment.
Mitchelle could create and destroy elements, while Irene was ridiculous on her own too, each of them embodying overwhelming supremacy in their respective domains.
"It seems so," Michael agreed as he shook his head at how ridiculously powerful his wife and mother were, a faint, resigned smile appearing on his lips.
"With this ability of yours, you will be a hotshot when you get to the Upper Galaxy," Collins couldn’t help but comment; after all, anyone who could bring others back to life would be highly sought after and protected, their value immeasurable in any battlefield or civilization.
"It seems you have to be careful, Gramps, when you and Grandma get to the Upper Galaxy; someone might steal her right from under your nose," Anthony stated with a small smile, as he was very sure a scene like that would play out, given Irene’s current abilities.
After all, Irene was now devastatingly beautiful; she had always been gentle, calm, loving, and a healer, who wouldn’t love her, especially now that her power matched her presence so flawlessly?
"I will just kill them and get it over with," Collins replied with a shrug of his shoulders, his tone casual yet carrying an unmistakable edge of unhidden seriousness.
Michael turned to Anthony as he asked, "So, are we now as strong as you?" a smirk playing on his lips; although every parent was happy to see their child surpass them and do better in life, Michael still had his pride as a father, and it subtly reflected in his tone.
Anthony smirked as he replied, "Even if I give you many handicaps, you all will still lose if you fought me together," he shook his head as he stated it in a factual tone, devoid of arrogance yet filled with undeniable certainty.
Michael arched an eyebrow; from Anthony’s tone, he understood that they wouldn’t even stand a chance even if they all worked together, which seemed preposterous given their new abilities and insane strength, yet he couldn’t outright dismiss it.
"You don’t believe me, right?" Anthony asked with a smile on his face, but Michael didn’t reply; he just stayed silent and stared at Anthony, awaiting a further explanation.
"There are about two reasons all of you would lose, but I won’t explain the first for now," Anthony continued; with that, he activated Authority Of Severance and severed every ability every single one of them had gained, doing so with an ease that made it seem almost trivial. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
"You may attack me, with your Sword Intent or anything," Anthony suggested.
At his words, Michael didn’t hesitate; there was no need to delay, Anthony wasn’t a weak boy after all. His hand rose as he tried to turn himself into Sword Intent, but nothing happened; he immediately summoned his Concept Of Sword, but nothing came, the silence of his power far louder than any failure he had ever experienced.
"What did you do?" he couldn’t help but ask, astonished at the fact that he had just lost his abilities, yet he didn’t feel any different upon losing them; he hadn’t even known when it happened.
"It’s one of my abilities; I can sever your connection with your abilities, making it as though you never had them to begin with," Anthony stated as he didn’t go into intricate details concerning the Authority Of Severance, as though he couldn’t be bothered to elaborate further.
After a moment, Michael nodded his head in understanding; it made sense to him now, if Anthony had such an ability, then he could one-shot everyone from start to finish without giving them any opportunity to retaliate.
"It seems no matter how strong we get, you remain stronger," Mitchelle spoke as she shook her head, her tone carrying both admiration and a trace of disbelief.
"You said there were two reasons why you would win; what’s the first one?" Collins asked; although Anthony had said he wouldn’t explain it for now, he still asked, curiosity getting the better of him.
Anthony sighed as he shook his head, then began to speak, "The answer is related to Human Bloodline and their Grades," his words calm.
"Human Bloodline and Grades? Human Bloodline has Grades?" Collins asked as he arched an eyebrow, clearly confused by this revelation.
"I thought only Bloodline races like Dragons, Titans, and the rest possessed Bloodline Grades, which isn’t hidden knowledge to beings of our level," Irene couldn’t help but add, as this was the first time she was hearing something like this.
Anthony shook his head as he spoke, "Humans also possess Bloodline Grades, but it seems we barely have anyone with a Grade higher than the Low Grade everyone possesses," his words calm and low.
"Can you explain? From the very beginning, after all, we know literally nothing about the Human Bloodline and their Grades," Mitchelle spoke as she stared at Anthony; instead of going around and about on the matter, it was best to have him explain it once and for all.
"Hmmm... then I will just make it brief and short since there is nothing to really explain," Anthony replied as he touched his chin, wondering where to begin, his gaze slightly distant as though organizing his thoughts before unveiling yet another layer of truth.
