Mighty Lord
Chapter 1554 - 566 - _2
As a result, after enduring a series of attacks from Zhou Tian over a short period, although the living being was in discomfort, it still forcibly endured it. However, when Zhou Tian showed no signs of stopping and his attacks kept raining down ceaselessly, as the damage sustained increased, even the tough-skinned living being couldn’t bear it any longer.
There was nothing surprising about it; since it could no longer endure Zhou Tian’s attacks, the group of living beings at that moment must naturally counterattack. They didn’t hope their counteractions could do much to Zhou Tian, but at least they wished Zhou Tian would stop riding on its back.
As a result, perhaps in an attempt to dislodge Zhou Tian off its back, the living being, unable to hit Zhou Tian directly, simply rammed sideways, hitting its ox-like back against the walls of the passage.
"Pfft!"
Without any accident happening, before the living being made that move, Zhou Tian had actually not anticipated that it would do something like this. Therefore, after mounting its back, Zhou Tian was unprepared for this move. Thus, when the living being collided its back with the wall, Zhou Tian was undoubtedly crushed in between.
However, although the collision hurt Zhou Tian substantially at the moment, the force exerted by the living being in that collision was significant. Even though Zhou Tian got injured in that action, the living being itself inevitably sustained injuries during that collision process.
As such, although Zhou Tian’s injuries were far more severe than the other’s at that moment, looking at the outcome, the collision only resulted in both sides suffering significantly. But according to Zhou Tian’s abilities, it seems he had taken a covert disadvantage; yet, as long as he did not fall off its back, in reality, he didn’t suffer much.
Zhou Tian was indeed heavily wounded then, but fortunately, Zhou Tian had the ability of an immortal body! Because of not being able to die outright, coupled with the speeding effect of his time ability, Zhou Tian could heal from even severe injuries in a very short time. In this process, beside some extra consumption, Zhou Tian practically didn’t face any other losses.
On the other hand, although the injuries of the living being weren’t severe, it did not possess the recovery ability like Zhou Tian. Thus, if it got injured, its combat power would be considered diminished, and it’s believable that if it continued like this without accidents, Zhou Tian would outlast the living being in endurance.
Clearly, the living being also knew the situation. Instead of doing nothing and allowing Zhou Tian to attack relentlessly while riding on its back, the living being still hoped to attempt whatever options it had. If it could dislodge Zhou Tian from its back, it would be best; if not, it’s assumed that the living being preferred a scenario of both side suffering over Zhou Tian standing on its back and finishing it.
As a result, when the living being adopt the mindset of preferring to die shattered than stay intact submissively in conducting that move, it couldn’t possibly stop its actions because of any circumstance.
Thus, even when it knew well that its continuous ramming against the wall might not take down Zhou Tian, the formidable enemy, the living being still kept ramming its back against the wall relentlessly at that moment. While Zhou Tian wasn’t seriously injured during the continuous collision, it became challenging for him to stay on the living being’s back.
As a result, even though Zhou Tian attempted to stabilize his stance, ultimately under the relentless ramming of the living being, Zhou Tian couldn’t hold on for long and was thrown off.
However, even though Zhou Tian was eventually thrown off by the living being, at that moment, he still showed a hint of joy.
Although he might not be able to continue staying on the living being’s back, the living being had paid a hefty price to throw Zhou Tian off. Throughout the previous series of collisions, although it achieved its objective, the back of the living being ended up brutally mangled in the process.
It can be said that even though Zhou Tian was thrown off the back, and while his opponent was now prepared against him, Zhou Tian found it difficult to mount the living being again. However, just the injuries sustained by the living being at the moment were enough for Zhou Tian to feel satisfied with the results of his previous actions; during those collisions, the living being had sustained substantial injuries, making it tough for it to exert its full strength.
Thus, even if the living being’s ability countered Zhou Tian and although Zhou Tian’s current situation wasn’t favourable, Zhou Tian’s continued engagement could possibly pose no problem after the living being’s power was weakened.
As long as Zhou Tian persists, estimably even by dragging out the battle, he could potentially exhaust this formidable foe to death. And once this living being, who could counter him, was dead, Zhou Tian was reassured that he wouldn’t face similar crises in upcoming battles.
