Even though those people were not exactly sure how strong the angels under Zhou Tian were, judging from the destructive power caused by their attacks at the time, they would not have thought Zhou Tian was weaker than the experts of their tribe who had already perished. With the power of those angels, it would undoubtedly be underestimating their own strength to say the Human Race’s large army had no winning odds at all.

At the very least, those human soldiers didn’t believe they would be defeated once they got the help of angels. Thus, even before the angels took action, when faced with the threats from the Beastmen, those human soldiers didn’t dare to clash head-on with their opponents. But after the angels took action and they realized they had winning odds, the soldiers immediately exhibited a completely different performance.

Even though they were still not opponents, once they believed they had a chance at victory, those soldiers had the courage to attack the Beastmen.

It wasn’t the weakness of those people’s abilities that was feared, but the thought of them giving up resistance.

So, once those human soldiers started an organized counteroffensive, the Beastmen’s onslaught was immediately obstructed.

While the soldiers of the two tribes were continually at war, the angels under Zhou Tian never stopped their attacks. As their waves of attacks continued to fall, the number of Beastmen who died from these angelic assaults was increasing every moment.

Considering the situation at the time, if the angels were allowed to continue attacking like that, even if the Beastman Tribe eventually won, it’s feared that their large army would have been substantially depleted. Clearly, the Beastmen were unwilling to accept that outcome.

Even though the Beastmen did harbor a murderous intention toward the angels under Zhou Tian, they also knew that if they decided to engage the angels, they might not gain much advantage. To be truthful, if they intended to combat the angels earnestly, regardless of victory, the Beastmen were aware that they would most likely achieve simply a costly victory. Facing such strong opponents as angels, even the Beastmen had to admit that without considerable cost, they couldn’t win.

Under normal circumstances, the Beastmen might have attacked regardless of the risk. Their nature was being such that as long as it was established that the other party was an enemy, even knowing the cost of victory, they would usually proceed regardless.

But the circumstances were different now.

As they were on the verge of annihilating the Human Race, any obstacle to their goal was sure to be suppressed by the Beastmen. Persuading the angels to retreat was the best outcome for the Beastmen, and for this reason, even the most impulsive Beastmen had to restrain their desire to attack and instead hope to drive the angels away through words.
