Mighty Lord
Chapter 2814 - 888:
In fact, if any trouble were to arise normally, the Divine King might become aware of the situation at that time, but truly handling those affairs was mostly the purview of the Envoys under the Divine King. Although the Divine King wouldn’t say they don’t care about these matters at all, in reality, they often would not spend much energy on them.
Thus, when such incidents occur normally, most Divine Kings are unlikely to handle them personally. But evidently, under Zhou Tian’s deliberate actions, the response of those Divine Kings would certainly have encountered problems.
Indeed, when those Divine Kings sent out their True Gods to handle those issues, it initially did have some effect. After all, the Abyss World had not reached such a height yet, and besides Zhou Tian, there weren’t many living beings within who could fight against the True Gods.
Under such circumstances, though they received Zhou Tian’s orders to launch attacks on those worlds, it was not to say that those worlds themselves didn’t have a certain resistance ability. Merely relying on the combat power of those True Gods, there were very few Abyssal Creatures under Zhou Tian who could counter them.
Hence, since most of the Abyssal Creatures under Zhou Tian weren’t opponents to those True Gods, when they encountered True Gods during their actions, they naturally had to strategically retreat at that moment.
Consequently, when those True Gods arrived at the territory, the Abyssal Creatures under Zhou Tian would immediately retreat. In this way, once Zhou Tian’s Abyssal Creatures retreated, it appeared that the problems faced by those Divine Kings seemed to be resolved.
Only...
Indeed, at the time, the Abyssal Creatures under Zhou Tian couldn’t be opponents to those True Gods, so in the face of threats from those True Gods, they would often retreat at the first opportunity. However, this did not mean that Zhou Tian’s plan failed because of the presence of those True Gods. In fact, though those True Gods existed and did have some effect, Zhou Tian’s plan didn’t suffer any impact.
Retreating upon encountering True Gods didn’t affect Zhou Tian’s plan at all since there were so many Divine Kings in the Divine Realm, controlling countless Lower Realms. This way, a single retreat in one or two actions only meant they retreated, and when those True Gods were protecting certain worlds, the Abyssal Creatures under Zhou Tian just needed to target worlds without True Gods’ protection.
For worlds with True Gods, the Abyssal Creatures under Zhou Tian couldn’t take them, but for worlds without True Gods, once Zhou Tian’s Abyssal Creatures arrived, taking over faced no issues.
So, if they defended one area, other worlds would be annexed, and the effects of those True Gods descending into the Lower Realm didn’t last long. And, upon discovering their forces in the Lower Realm were being continuously robbed, although the Divine Kings might not truly care much about the loss, they couldn’t ignore what was happening.
The dignity of the Divine King was at stake; no matter what, those Divine Kings wouldn’t permit anyone to rob their ’wealth’ and remain unscathed. Thus, after events unfold, if their True Gods couldn’t handle the matter, those Divine Kings naturally would have to pay attention to it.
Actually, considering the strength of the Divine Kings, if they indeed planned to utilize tactics like ambush, it wasn’t impossible to ambush the Abyssal Creatures under Zhou Tian. However, though those Divine Kings had the ability to do so, whether they would actually proceed this way was indeed a problem.
Firstly, given their status as Divine Kings, if they needed to handle every single affair, wouldn’t they be overwhelmed? Even if there were matters that caught their attention, not every matter requires their personal intervention. At least the disturbances caused by the Abyssal Creatures under Zhou Tian weren’t significant enough to attract heavy focus from those Divine Kings.
The second and crucial point was, although those Divine Kings didn’t understand the ins and outs, they could estimate that someone was secretly taking advantage of them via the current situation. Despite the Abyssal Creatures being obnoxious, the true mastermind certainly wouldn’t appear personally.
Thus, even if those Divine Kings had tactics to capture the Abyssal Creatures under Zhou Tian, it likely wouldn’t impact Zhou Tian’s plan. Knowing their actions wouldn’t alter anything was the reason why those Divine Kings wouldn’t embark on tasks destined to be futile.
Yet, under such circumstances, despite their power, those Divine Kings still felt troubled by the presence of the Abyssal Creatures under Zhou Tian.
They were reluctant to take action as the results wouldn’t be favorable, and while the Abyssal Creatures under Zhou Tian showed no signs of restraint, if they took no action, allowing those creatures to continue unhindered, those Divine Kings wouldn’t know how massive their losses would be.
Faced with such a situation, unless they deployed True Gods to protect every world under their influence, those Divine Kings’ forces outside the Divine Realm could be pillaged at any moment.
Yet, the issue stood that even knowing True Gods could guard their foundations, those Divine Kings were unwilling to—or couldn’t—truly dispatch so many True Gods to protect their Lower Realm foundations.
For one, even though the Divine Kings had enough True Gods, their foundation was in the Divine Realm. And the Divine King’s influence wasn’t singular; deploying all of their True Gods to the Lower Realm would leave them vulnerable without sufficient True Gods for support in conflicts with other Divine Kings.
Secondly, and most importantly, though those Divine Kings had many True Gods, sending them to the Lower Realm to protect their territory was still an impossible task.
Compared to Zhou Tian, due to the power of the Divine Realm, the repulsion from entering the Lower Realm as Deities was being far less than that of the Abyssal Creatures. But, this didn’t mean Deities wouldn’t feel any pressure upon entering the Lower Realm; in fact, they could only remain due to their powerful strength. However, over time, combined with certain actions, Abyssal Creatures would face intentional repulsion, which wasn’t strange.
Therefore, True Gods could stay temporarily, but if tasked with permanently guarding the Lower Realm, it’s assumed they hadn’t engaged with Abyssal Creatures before facing trouble due to the repulsion felt by World Consciousnesses in the Lower Realm.
Ultimately, although those worlds couldn’t resist their annexation tendencies by the Divine Realm due to its strength, they haven’t yet accepted themselves as part of the Divine Realm.
In reality, simply due to the absence of personal consciousness, those worlds allowed the Divine Realm to infiltrate their internal structures. But fundamentally, those worlds’ World Consciousnesses still saw themselves as individual entities, and typically, if external living beings attempted intrusion, those World Consciousnesses would never allow a prolonged stay.
Although unable to kill those True Gods, persistent actions by World Consciousness could threaten them. At least, if those consciousnesses continued targeting True Gods, it guaranteed they couldn’t stay permanently within those worlds. Thus, regardless of the strength of those Divine Kings, they couldn’t ensure their True Gods could stay in the Lower Realm indefinitely.
Hence, knowing that True Gods couldn’t possibly stay in the Lower Realm for extended periods, those Divine Kings wouldn’t issue orders destined to be ineffective.(To be continued.
