"Yes!" Jojo nodded. His eyes curved like a crescent moon as he smiled. "Sisi, you look so pretty, but also so sad. Did I do something wrong that upset you?"

"Of course not, Jojo," Sisi replied.

"Then why are you crying?" Jojo asked while slowly reaching to touch his mother’s cheeks. He caressed Sisi’s cheeks and wiped her tears. "Sisi, don’t be sad, okay? Uhm, I will be a good boy so you won’t be sad anymore..."

"Oh, you—you really know how to make me laugh," Sisi giggled before pulling the boy into her embrace tightly. "From now on, promise me to grow up healthy and happy, that’s all I want from you."

"Um! I promise!" Jojo said happily. "And Sisi must promise me that you will stay by my side forever! As umm... as my Mommy!"

Sisi should’ve said no.

Or at the very least, stayed silent, because she couldn’t promise the boy such a thing when they would get separated in about two months.

But at the spur of the moment, she actually nodded. "I... I promise. I promise to stay by your side as your guardian, as your mother, as a figure that you can always rely on, Jojo."

"Yayy! I’m so happy that I can see you again! Sisi—Mommy, I love you sooo much!" Jojo declared as he hugged her tighter than before. "Please don’t leave again, Mommy!"

Sisi’s heart trembled in such a way that she began to cry even harder than before. She was so relieved that the miracle was successful, and Jojo would have a happy life starting from now.

The golden light coming from Jojo’s body was very warm and comforting, so Sisi and Jojo hugged each other until the light slowly dissipated.

Little did they know that outside of the hut, the earth continued shaking as the storm began to rage on. The blinding light and invisible force made it impossible for Kael to reach his loved ones.

He couldn’t explain what happened around him, and he guessed it was part of Sisi’s power.

However, he knew the blinding light came from Jojo’s power.

The Dusk Star drew power from the moon, while the Dawn Star drew it from the sun. Thus the reason why the Dawn Star would always be more powerful than his father, because the moonlight was nothing but a shadow cast by the sun.

Kael gritted his teeth. There was no way that Jojo had awakened his power willingly, since he wasn’t even five yet. But the miracle performed by Sisi must’ve triggered his power.

He was scared that Jojo would burn Sisi until nothing—not even ashes—were left of her, since his body could heat up until his temperature was as hot as the sun.

Thus, Kael’s eyes turned crimson as he tried to gather his strength and stand up despite the tons of invisible force pressing on his shoulders.

He walked very slowly while staggering a few times, but his eyes were set on the hut. He had to reach his son no matter what.

Fortunately, once he drew near, the blinding light had slowly dissipated, so it gave him time and strength to dash forward and break into the hut.

"Jojo! Sisi!" Kael called their names desperately.

He was stunned seeing Sisi and Jojo hugging each other while they were surrounded by a gentle light from Jojo’s body.

Thankfully, despite not knowing how to control his strength just yet, Jojo had seen Sisi as his beloved mother. So even his light that was meant to protect himself turned to protect both of them instead.

However, this "warm and gentle light" only applied to Jojo and Sisi. Kael felt that his skin began to melt for each second he tried to reach his son and his beloved.

But his body was naturally immortal and could regenerate any damage. So he endured the tremendous pain until he was finally able to enter the light and hug his son and beloved woman.

"Jojo! Sisi!"

"Oh! Daddy!" Jojo turned his head towards his father. Then the boy frowned. "Daddy, what’s wrong with you? Why did you get hurt?!"

Kael’s regenerative body wasn’t working as fast as he wished it to be. But he didn’t mind at all.

"It’s okay, son. Daddy was just a little hurt. But I’ll get healed anyway," Kael said. "You... you can see me again?"

"Yes! I don’t know what happened. But when I woke up, I suddenly saw Sisi having her purple eyes again, Daddy! Ohh, I miss her purple eyes. I’ve only seen them once when fighting against the evil fat man, and she went whoosh! Waaah! And then the vines went bam!"

"Purple... eyes?" Kael frowned as he turned his head towards Sisi, whom he was also hugging right now.

Sisi was still closing her eyes, savoring the feeling of embracing the boy that she saw as her own son.

Then, she slowly opened her eyes, and Kael’s breath hitched instantly.

Sisi’s eyes were brown—at least her usual ones. But right now, she had a pair of violet-colored eyes that shone brightly like amethysts.

There was a hint of mystery and magnanimity behind those eyes, befitting her regal bearing as a queen, and Kael...

Kael was taken aback as he suddenly recalled all the dreams he had with his fated mate, whose bond he had selfishly severed in order to save Jojo.

Every time he woke up, his vivid and painful dreams became a blur except for his fated mate’s beautiful violet eyes.

Thus, he used that as a clue on how to find his fated one.

Though, he stopped searching eventually, because he had fallen in love with Sisi.

It didn’t matter if she was his fated mate. Since his heart had anchored to hers, he wouldn’t want anybody else but her!

However, the moment he saw those amethyst eyes, all the blurry face of his fated mate in his dream was replaced with Sisi’s face and her violet eyes. All the good dreams and nightmares he had all this time about his fated mate...

They were all filled with Sisi.
