Chapter 4554: Clinic Open

"Today is the day," I said as I opened my eyes.

For the first time in days. I got out of bed immediately, like there was spring in my steps.

Every day, I would stay in bed for at least five minutes, and it was a struggle to get out, but today it is not. I feel like I am filled with energy.

I went to the bathroom and quickly freshened up before showing and getting out.

When I stepped out and sat in my usual place, I found I was the only person in there. I woke up earlier than usual, but later than I used to, before that place messed me up.

"Good morning, Healer Ross," said Mira, referring to me as a healer for the first time, before placing the breakfast in front of me.

"Thank you," I replied, and began eating breakfast, which was as delicious as usual.

Once I finished breakfast, I walked out of the inn and went to the back. A look of disappointment appeared on my face when I saw that there was not a single person waiting.

I had advertised with the posters and guilds.

I shook my head a moment later; there are still one and a half hour before it opens. People come half an hour to fifteen minutes early, not one and a half hour early.

I walked into my office and sat down before looking around. The medicine cabinet is full. Every tool is in its place; all that it needs is patience.

A few minutes passed, and seeing that I was getting restless, I took out a book.

It is a book about basic healing. I have been reading them, as this is what I am planning on doing. I will heal patients with the power I am projecting.

I will not use my energies or soul sense of Sky Sovereigns.

I want to take the holistic approach to healing. So, I could heal myself; taking a shortcut would not help with that.

Soon, I got lost in the book, and it’s quite good. Its mine, not the trash the city has. I looked through the collection of the healer’s guild and healers, and I was not impressed.

It’s not necessary bad, but my collection is much better, not to mention the library.

I have read a lot when I was studying to be a healer, but that is knowledge of the small world. In the prime world, there are thousands of races, while most of it remains the same, there are minor intricacies of each race.

I have studied them since I came to this world, but not to this level of basics.

Usually, when I heal any race I have never healed before, I would quickly ask my clones to read their information. It would help a lot.

This is a small island, and there are not many races here, but they are common enough that I had read about them before.

This book is not about the intricacies of the races, but about the treatments. It is describing an uncommon method of healing; I have no interest in using it, but there are many things that I could learn from it.

Soon, I got engrossed in the book and didn’t come to myself until the door opened, with Mira coming in. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"I am sending the first patient," she said. I am surprised, but a moment later, I could see the three presences outside. Even with the basic senses I am using, I could tell all three are adults and Primary-I.

Everyone who takes a step into the path of practice is Primary-I; rising through the levels is the real challenge.

On this continent, most people stay at Primary-I; most don’t even reach the peak. Middle is average. A few could reach Primary-II.

As for Primary-III, they are rare, and each one becomes important.

The Sovereigns, on the other hand, are truly Sovereigns here. Each one controls the massive area on this island, or rather, continent, for them.

I have not seen any sign of the Earth Sovereign, and this place did not have resources to make one, much less sustain it.

If someone had broken through, they would leave soon to search for a place that could help them advance.

I pushed the train of thoughts away and nodded at Mira.

A few seconds later, the door opened, and a middle-aged, blond-haired human woman was inside. Her gait is slow with the beads of sweat on her forehead.

It’s clear that she is in pain.

I got up, appeared beside her, and gently made her sit on the bed beside my table. Making her sit in front of me and then on the bed for inspection would cause her more pain.

"Thank you, healer," she said tiredly. I smiled before my expression turned serious.

"So, what is it you are suffering from, Miss?" I asked. I could tell, but I like to hear it from her own mouth; it is part of the healing.

"Dina," she replied.

"For the past seven months, I have been suffering from pain," she said. I nodded, but remained silent. "At first, it was minute, but as the time passed, it started to get more and more intense, until I could barely walk through it,"

"I have visited many healers, including Grade-II, but nothing worked."

"You are my only hope, Healer Ross," she said, looking at me with all the desperation in the world.

It’s clear that she had expanded all the avenues she could afford. She had likely spent a lot of money with those healers, given she had come to me, a new healer without any reputation.

"I will do everything I can. Miss Dina," I replied with a smile.

"Can I examine you?" I asked, and she nodded.

I gently placed two fingers on her hand and checked her pulse before sending a very faint wave of energy into her body, mixed with my soul sense.

It returned, and a few seconds later, I sent another. Much stronger than the previous one. I did that for half a minute before I turned to the woman in front of me.
