Mr. CEO Has a Crush on Me
Chapter 1564: Her Little Heart Raced
If Mengmeng hadn’t mentioned it, she almost forgot what she was supposed to do.
Gu Ziyou drank a glass of ice water to calm down.
But her eyes kept glancing towards the kitchen.
Before, she didn’t mind; she always felt like she was taking advantage when she ate and drank here every day.
But now, Shen Lingfeng was making lunch for her!
Gu Ziyou took a few more sips of water; she wasn’t really in the mood to eat.
Her stomach was hungry as a physical reaction, but she wasn’t really in the mood for a meal.
As she watched, she couldn’t help but walk in.
"Smells so good."
"Go wait outside."
"No." She stood next to Shen Lingfeng, her head unconsciously leaning against him.
But soon, the crackling of oil in the pan made her a bit scared.
Finally, she cleared her throat awkwardly, "I’ll go wait outside."
She wasn’t someone who belonged in the kitchen.
Before leaving, she hesitated for a few seconds, then quickly stole a kiss on his cheek and ran away.
Shen Lingfeng curled his lips slightly, watching the figure that ran out.
Because she said she wanted Sichuan food, lunch today was a few small dishes.
Gu Ziyou soon forgot her earlier reluctance to eat and was extremely satisfied with the meal.
After eating, she looked up at him, "Actually, I’m still not completely over it."
She quickly reminded.
Yes, reminding him and also reminding herself.
"I know, you should be angry." He put down his chopsticks, "How can I make it up to you?"
"Anything?"
"Anything."
Gu Ziyou rested her chin on her clasped hands, staring blankly.
She found she couldn’t come up with anything; she didn’t lack anything.
Now that he said anything, she felt that she wasn’t angry anymore.
"Then I’ll hold onto it until I think of something. Oh no." Gu Ziyou suddenly stood up, her heart racing, having completely forgotten about work, "Are we going to be late?"
They had dawdled during the meal, and now it seemed the lunch break was almost over.
"President Shen. What if we’re late?"
Shen Lingfeng got up, quickly tidied up the table and said calmly, "You’re no longer in the advertising department; you don’t have to work this afternoon."
"Then, what about you if you’re late?" She glanced mischievously, "Isn’t it that the penalties are heavier for the president being late?"
He looked up, "Since you know I’m the president, do I even need to consider being late?"
"When will you go to the office? I’ll be a bit bored not having to work."
For Gu Ziyou, being bored was a big deal.
Why did she agree to be on call 24/7 back then and, even after work, she would still spontaneously come to his place, even if it meant overtime?
Because she liked being in the same place as him and facing an empty house otherwise.
"Not going." Shen Lingfeng leaned on the table, looking at her expectant little eyes, "I’ll go tomorrow."
"Really?" Gu Ziyou’s eyes brightened.
Luckily, when he asked earlier how to make up for it, she didn’t say not to go anywhere today and just stay with her.
Turns out he had already planned it that way.
"Shen Lingfeng." Gu Ziyou took two steps closer, hugged his waist, and looked up at him, "You wouldn’t have any other secrets from me, would you?"
His body tensed, hands slowly wrapped around her, looking down into her eyes, "No."
"Uh..." Gu Ziyou still looked up but suddenly didn’t know what to say. Her eyes sparkled, stammered a bit, and simply said nothing.
