Mr. CEO Has a Crush on Me
Chapter 1669: Following Him Like a Pet (Part 3)
"Whatever works for you."
Once on the plane, Gu Anjin already felt bored.
Yue Siqing was working nonstop on his laptop, seemingly seeing nothing else besides his work.
No matter how much she fidgeted next to him, even resting her head on his shoulder couldn’t distract him.
"I’m bored, I’m going to sleep! Wake me up early to change clothes."
After fidgeting to the point of fatigue, she finally felt a bit weary.
She lay horizontally on the sofa next to him, using his thigh as a pillow.
She just wanted to see how far he’d tolerate her.
Yue Siqing’s fingers on the keyboard finally stopped; her warm breath kept seeping in through the fabric.
"Jinjin, move to the side." He lifted her head unkindly and relocated her, "There’s a pillow over there, don’t lean on me."
"Why?"
He pursed his lips and said lightly, "Maintain distance."
Maintain distance indeed.
Gu Anjin gritted her teeth in anger, initially wanting to say he wasn’t a man, but then thought about that night...
When he’d messed her up to a point of exhaustion, he never considered keeping a distance between them.
From the bathroom to the carpet to the bed, she nearly passed out.
She felt sulky, and eventually curled up on the side, and fell asleep while still angry. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
She didn’t know how long she’d slept; each time she woke, it seemed early.
After a few fuzzy naps, she was finally awakened by Yue Siqing.
"Are we there?"
"Almost," Yue Siqing closed the laptop and stood up.
"I haven’t changed my clothes."
"Just like this." He looked at her, fluffy as she was, it suited her.
"Yue Siqing, you want me to walk down the street looking like this?" she said, amused and exasperated.
"The street is not where you’re headed; you’ll have plenty of time to change soon." He picked up his suit jacket, "Jinjin, I’m pressed for time."
He had a very important meeting.
Gu Anjin was out of options and could only follow him off the plane like this.
"Sir." Outside the plane, people were already waiting.
The man in uniform quickly opened the car door, waiting for them to get in.
Gu Anjin felt a bit embarrassed wearing pajamas in front of strangers, using her hand to cover her face.
"Hey, who’s that?"
Yue Siqing got into the car, "My assistant."
"Your assistant in Manchester?"
He turned his head, looking at Gu Anjin, "This is Harbor City."
"What?" she widened her eyes, looking at him incredulously.
Yue Siqing had spent several years, not in London, but in Harbor City.
His foster parents were in Harbor City, his personal businesses were there, and Harbor City was where he grew up.
But she had never visited, because he wouldn’t allow it.
He wouldn’t allow her to come looking for him.
She had guessed the reason, likely because his foster parents were there.
And he never wanted to give her any hope, naturally not wanting her to meet his parents.
This was the first time she’d been directly brought here by him.
"So, for the duration you’re here, be good." His tone was calm, observing her shocked expression.
"I will!" She suddenly felt a bit excited; he actually brought her to meet his parents.
The car drove to a building in the city center, Yue Siqing carrying his laptop, reminding her before getting out, "The driver will take you to the place you’ll stay. Have a shower, rest well, don’t wander around."
Gu Anjin just wanted to swear to the heavens, "I’ll definitely not wander around. Look at me, dressed like this, I can’t wander even if I wanted to."
Yue Siqing nodded, closing the car door.
He didn’t wake her earlier to change clothes for this reason.
Otherwise, he might have gotten out before her, and she might follow right behind, taking a stroll around his company.
