Mr. CEO Has a Crush on Me
Chapter 1736: More Desperate to Forget Than Anyone (3)
When the servant left, she stood about ten meters away from Huo Xun, "Why are you alone?"
Huo Xun heard the voice and slightly curled the corner of his lips.
He drained the wine glass in his fingertips and stepped away from the bar.
"I’m the only one here, but there’re others elsewhere," he raised his hand pointing towards the back of the castle, "Do you want to go? I just want to say those people are really boring."
Her small face was still full of vigilance.
"I don’t want to be alone in a place with you." Gu Anjin slightly raised her chin.
A broad smile spread across Huo Xun’s handsome face, "If I’m not mistaken, you came here to see me, not those boring people. If you want everyone to think we’re whispering together, looking like we’re extraordinarily close... I’m afraid I won’t agree."
Gu Anjin scoffed internally, even so, shouldn’t it be her wanting to avoid misunderstandings?
Huo Xun leaned lazily against the bar, arms folded, eyes slightly squinting, "Don’t misunderstand, it’s not that I don’t want any connection with you, but I don’t want to end up like another Song Yi. Yue Siqing is unpredictable in both obvious and subtle ways; even I dare not openly annoy him now."
"Wait, what do you mean by another Song Yi?" Gu Anjin sensed something unusual.
She indeed couldn’t reach Song Yi recently, but thought it was just a warning from Yue Siqing.
Why did it sound like something very serious had happened?
Huo Xun raised an elegant eyebrow and glanced at her, "You don’t know?"
"What do I know?"
He chuckled lightly, "Turns out you don’t know. I thought this overly-protected little flower here wouldn’t mind sacrificing her conscience for Yue Siqing."
"Huo Xun, what exactly happened? What about Song Yi?"
Huo Xun pondered for a moment, "Actually, you already kind of know the answer in your heart, don’t you? Yue Siqing isn’t one to show mercy."
"Tell me, what happened!" Gu Anjin demanded, articulating each word clearly.
"In his lifetime, he’ll never touch the piano again," Huo Xun said slowly, "He developed some sinister thoughts, yearning for a better future. So Yue Siqing naturally wanted to ruin all his future prospects, making him regret it deeply."
Gu Anjin froze, "W-what do you mean by never touch the piano again?"
He extended a hand, pointing a finger at the joints of the other hand’s five fingers, "Of course, his hands are ruined, so he can’t touch the piano. All ten fingers’ joints shattered. Not to mention playing piano, he can’t even live independently."
"How do you know all this?" Gu Anjin disbelieved, "I haven’t seen any reports about him."
Huo Xun stared at her, put down his hand, and spoke leisurely, "Do you think such a thing would be reported straight away? The reason I asked you to come today is to find out what you plan to do. His hands are ruined, he’s lost between human and ghost, and currently in my basement."
"Why is he with you?"
"Miss Gu, don’t be quick to jump to conclusions." Huo Xun said innocently, "I already gave him a friendly warning at the party that day, but he reacted too late. Maybe because of my kind reminder, he thought I was a good person and came to me when he had nowhere else to go. Unfortunately, I have neither the intention nor the ability to help him."
