Mr. CEO, You Look Strangely Familiar
Chapter 176 - 174: Just Make Do With These 2 Bucks (3)
Mrs. Ellsworth pointed under the table. "It’s over there. You have one hour to get back, or I’m confiscating the car again."
Zoe Ellsworth nodded. "Don’t worry, I will."
She drove back to the dance club. As soon as she walked in, she saw a few of her friends were still there, but Jason Irving was nowhere to be found.
Zoe Ellsworth walked up and patted a female friend on the shoulder. "I’m back."
The friend looked startled. "Zoe, didn’t you leave? Why are you back?"
Zoe Ellsworth shrugged it off. "Just came out to hang for a little longer before I head back. Where’s Jason Irving?"
Her friends exchanged uneasy glances, then one of them stammered, "Jason... he... he went home."
Zoe Ellsworth was skeptical. "No way. You guys are all still here, but he left? That’s a first."
She sat down on the sofa, poured herself a drink, and took a few small sips.
Before she could even swallow, Jason Irving appeared on the elevated stage, dancing passionately with a showgirl.
The color drained from her friends’ faces. One of them quickly explained, "Zoe, we just said he went home because we were afraid you’d get mad. Don’t overthink it."
Zoe Ellsworth waved a hand, signaling for them to shut up.
She swallowed her drink and leisurely watched the scene on stage. Jason Irving was wearing a pair of shorts, while the dancer wore a sheer gauze outfit so transparent you could see everything underneath.
The two of them began a fervent pole dance.
Since Zoe Ellsworth was leaning back on the sofa where the lighting was dim, Jason Irving didn’t see her when he glanced in her direction.
The crowd below cheered, and a few losers in the audience started catcalling for the dancer to strip.
Her friends just sat there, awkward expressions on their faces. They all remained silent, let alone cheered.
They just stared blankly at the stage.
The explosive dance music kept blaring. The two performers on stage were drenched in sweat. The dancer, a smile on her face, slowly began to remove her sheer wrap.
The men in the crowd roared, reaching a fever pitch as Jason Irving and the dancer pressed their chests tightly together, not a sliver of space between them. To Zoe Ellsworth, the sight was almost laughable.
’With something that small, what’s he got to be so smug about?’
A friend sitting next to her, one she was close with, couldn’t help but whisper, "Zoe, I don’t think he’s really into you."
Zoe Ellsworth laughed. "The only thing he’s really into is my money."
Seeing that she understood, the friend could only say, "I thought you didn’t know."
"You guys can all see it so clearly, and I’m not an idiot. It’s just a bit of fun. As long as this boy toy sticks with me, he’ll have some cash to spend. But if he leaves me, I’ll make sure he fucking dies without even knowing how it happened."
The friends present were from average families. They were the type to trail after Zoe Ellsworth, knowing her family was wealthy and had a powerful background. No one dared to cross her.
Even back when Zoe Ellsworth first took an interest in Jason Irving and they got together, her friends knew he didn’t genuinely like her. Jason had accepted her advances without refusal.
The boisterous dance track faded out. Jason Irving and the dancer headed toward the dressing area. Zoe Ellsworth stood up and strode after them. Her friends exchanged worried glances, sensing trouble, and hurried to follow.
When they reached an empty sofa in the back, Zoe Ellsworth and her friends saw the two of them kissing passionately, completely entangled.
Finally, the dancer noticed them staring. She pulled away and gestured for Jason Irving to look.
Jason Irving’s nonchalant gaze instantly turned to shock. "Zoe, why are you back?"
Zoe Ellsworth walked forward and casually sat on his lap. With a lazy expression, she raised her hand and slapped him across the face. "That’s right. If I hadn’t come back, how would I have gotten to see you practicing your kissing skills with another woman?"
The slap stunned him into stillness. "Listen to me, she was the one who seduced me."
The dancer stood up, let out two cold snorts, and left.
Zoe Ellsworth stood up and slapped his other cheek. "Damn it, do you take me for a blind fool?" 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Red handprints bloomed on Jason Irving’s handsome face, but he still managed a smile and grabbed her hand. "Zoe, I was wrong. It was just this once. A little kiss is no big deal, right?"
Zoe Ellsworth kicked him in the stomach, then grabbed a fistful of his hair, pulling his face close to hers. "A little kiss is no big deal, you’re right. Since you love kissing so much, I’ll find someone to keep you company."
She let go, turned, and said to her friends, "Drag him outside for me!"
The same friends who had been on good terms with Jason Irving didn’t hesitate. Not a single one stood by his side as they restrained him and dragged him out of the club.
Outside, the wind had picked up.
The group went directly to one of the friend’s rented apartments.
Zoe Ellsworth made a call and summoned Scarlett from the nightclub.
She stood there, watching the restrained Jason Irving with a beaming smile. "Don’t think that just because I found you decent, you can walk all over me. If you’re so capable, then stop taking my money."
Jason Irving remained silent. Only when Scarlett arrived did he speak up. "Zoe Ellsworth, let’s break up!"
"I should be the one saying that. Who are you to say it?"
She looked at Scarlett. "All you have to do is spread your legs for me. I’ll give you a hundred thousand."
Scarlett’s face was all smiles. "Thank you, Miss."
Then she smiled openly at them. "I’m ready."
Two of the female friends sat on the bed, covering their faces, but they couldn’t help but peek through their fingers.
Only when the two were finished did Zoe Ellsworth stretch lazily, as if bored.
As Jason Irving’s mind gradually cleared, he looked at the eyes all around him and began to tremble.
She walked over, squatted in front of Jason Irving, and pinched his chin. "You really are a good kisser, after all. We all saw it with our own eyes."
With that, she stood up, glanced at the time, and slammed the door on her way out.
Jason Irving completely broke down. He never knew it could be so easy for a woman to have him in the palm of her hand.
The rain was coming down hard that night. Nora Ainsworth sat by the window she had opened, letting the cold wind blow in.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!
The sound of knocking made her turn her head sharply. She quickened her pace toward the door, but stopped about two feet away.
"Who is it?"
"It’s me, Ryan."
Nora Ainsworth didn’t open the door. "It’s after ten. Is there something you need?"
"I have something to tell you."
Nora Ainsworth frowned. ’Other than our scenes together in the show, I have no contact with Ryan, the actor playing the supporting male role. What could he want with me? And so late at night, too.’
Her wariness spiked. "If you have something to say, you can say it from there. Or we can talk tomorrow. I’ve already changed for bed, so it’s not a good time to have visitors."
Ryan didn’t press the issue. "Then let’s talk tomorrow."
After he spoke, the sound of his footsteps faded away.
