"Felicity Sterling looks perfectly fine, not at all like she’s been drugged."

"No one did anything to her either!"

The Ford Family’s Dowager Kane’s scolding and the guests’ chatter pulled June Kane back from her absorbed thoughts. She looked up to see Felicity Sterling looking bewildered.

"Mom, what’s wrong with you?"

"What do you mean I was drugged?"

Felicity Sterling asked.

June Kane stared in shock at a safe and sound Felicity Sterling. When she had seen Serena Sullivan return without Felicity, her mind had conjured up several miserable scenarios for Felicity.

In whatever scenario, Felicity should have appeared weak and devastated, not as she was now, looking back at her with utter confusion.

"Felicity, where have you been? Everyone was worried sick looking for you."

Mrs. Kane came out with a smile, asking warmly. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"Oh." Felicity Sterling thought for a moment, then turned around to Finn Chandler behind her and said, "I was just chatting with Serena Sullivan, felt a bit dizzy, so I found a place to rest."

"When I woke up, I happened to bump into Young Master Chambers, and we came over chatting together."

After Felicity Sterling spoke, the guests watched June Kane with a bit of contempt.

"So Felicity Sterling had just fallen asleep herself! And June Kane blamed it on Eldest Miss Sterling!"

"Saying Eldest Miss Sterling feared Felicity would steal Mr. Grant, I think it’s more likely June Kane divorced Mr. Sterling and holds a grudge against Eldest Miss Sterling."

The spectators’ eyes are sharp, and the truth unwittingly came to light again.

"Felicity." Realizing her thoughts had been seen through, June Kane fixed her eyes sharply on Felicity Sterling, trying to save face, "Tell us, what exactly happened?"

"You felt dizzy and fell asleep, did she drug your wine?"

Felicity Sterling looked at Serena Sullivan. She remembered the two of them were in the back room, and suddenly Serena said she felt dizzy. Shortly after, Felicity followed suit, feeling dizzy and then falling asleep.

What exactly happened? Felicity wasn’t sure, but she did know June Kane had her bring Serena to that room, and now they were ganging up on Serena, definitely scheming something against her!

She shook her head. Seeing the threatening look from June Kane, she changed the subject, "I don’t know either."

That answer didn’t satisfy June Kane. She glared at Felicity Sterling and turned to the guests and Serena Sullivan, "Felicity may not know, but I do."

"It was Serena Sullivan who drugged Felicity’s drink. Felicity came through unscathed out of sheer luck."

June Kane asserted confidently, pointing her finger at the waiter on the ground, "Earlier, this waiter clearly stated, Serena Sullivan spiked Felicity’s wine."

"Mother! Mr. Sterling, you must give Felicity an explanation for this!"

June Kane’s words were forceful as she glared angrily at Serena Sullivan.

Serena was unfazed, instead, she returned a smile.

"Yes, Miss Kane, it was she who told me to drug the wine."

The waiter suddenly chimed in, making his words weirdly alarming. Eldest Master Sterling stepped forward, kicked away the two bodyguards holding the waiter, grabbed his collar, and pulled him up, "Speak, who ordered you to drug the wine!"

The drugging must have happened, but the instigator might not be Serena Sullivan.

After Eldest Master Sterling asked, Second Master Sterling also came forward.

The waiter saw the two men glaring at him furiously and spilled everything.

"I’ll tell, I’ll tell, it wasn’t Eldest Miss Sterling."

"It was her!"

The waiter suddenly changed his tune, pointing behind him at June Kane, shouting loudly, "It was Miss Kane from the Ford Family who gave me a sum of money to spike the red wine."

"She told me to give the drugged wine to Eldest Miss Sterling to drink, who knew they’d take the wrong ones!"
