Due to the change in temperature, Vanessa Sterling fell ill and had been going to the hospital to get IV drips for the past few days. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

She walked out of the hospital a little after three in the afternoon, with the rain drizzling outside.

The hospital wasn’t far from the studio, so Vanessa walked toward the studio with an umbrella.

The dizziness from the cold made her mind a bit foggy.

Her thoughts drifted as she walked down the street, and just as she was about to reach the studio, she suddenly noticed that familiar car parked across the road again.

She stopped by the roadside, her thoughts gathering, yet she didn’t know what she was thinking, staring blankly at the car.

Just at that moment, she saw a man with a black umbrella walking over from a distance, heading straight to the car.

As he was about to get in, the man noticed Vanessa Sterling on the opposite side of the road.

Both were momentarily stunned; the instant their eyes met, Vanessa quickly turned her head and hastily walked towards the studio.

Miles Sterling withdrew his gaze, put away the umbrella, and got into the car.

The car quickly disappeared into the curtain of rain.

When Vanessa was standing at the doorway folding her umbrella, she glanced hurriedly and realized that the spot where the car had just been was now empty.

Her heart seemed to feel a void as well.

"Teacher Sterling!" The assistant girl ran over excitedly and first asked, "Are you feeling any better today?"

Vanessa nodded with a dry laugh, "Much better."

"I have good news to tell you!" The assistant girl pulled her to the door, looked across the street, then showed a strange expression and murmured, "Huh? Where did it go? Just a few minutes ago, I saw that car still parked across the street."

Vanessa was puzzled and asked, "What is it?"

"It’s the handsome guy who helped us last time! It seems like he’s here again! I saw his car parked across the street just now. It was still there a moment ago!"

"...Oh, you even noticed that."

The assistant girl asked curiously, "Teacher Sterling, don’t you stand by the window daydreaming every day? Aren’t you waiting for that handsome guy?"

Vanessa, as if trying to escape, walked towards the studio upstairs, changing the topic, "You go on and take care of your tasks."

She didn’t know if it was because the topic made her uncomfortable, but her heart was really racing this time.

The assistant girl stood downstairs, looking up at her and said, "Teacher Sterling, you’ve waited so long, and the fact that he’s come back, I think it’s fate for you both; you must seize it!"

Vanessa didn’t dare to turn back as she quickly ducked into her studio, locked the door, and placed a hand over her chest.
