Miles Sterling froze in place, unable to believe the teaching assistant’s words.

He felt that even if Vanessa Sterling really exhibited those behaviors, it certainly wouldn’t be because of him.

A colleague’s voice came through the walkie-talkie at the teaching assistant’s waist. She answered with a walkie-talkie in hand, "I’ll be right over!"

After responding to her colleague, she rushed to tell Miles Sterling, "Tonight we’re going to have dinner at the GH Building nearby, Mr. Sterling will be there too, you have to come!"

Miles Sterling walked to the window to look across; the restaurant was right across the street.

But...should he go?

Was Vanessa Sterling really waiting for him to make a move? He found it hard to believe.

After all the unforgivable things he had done in the past, Vanessa surely wouldn’t forgive him, right?

Even though he had countless concerns in his heart, after the art exhibition ended, Miles Sterling couldn’t help but head to the restaurant.

He casually walked into the restaurant, wanting to see which table Vanessa Sterling was at.

Upon entering, he realized that the whole hall seemed to be filled with staff from today’s exhibition, with more than a dozen tables.

Among so many people, Miles Sterling immediately spotted Vanessa Sterling sitting in the corner.

She was hunched over her phone, seemingly talking to someone, and the teaching assistant next to her occasionally glanced at the door, appearing as if she was waiting for Miles Sterling to appear.

Just as Miles Sterling hesitated, wondering whether to head outside or upstairs, the teaching assistant excitedly waved at him, "Hey, handsome!"

Her shout was loud enough that everyone in the hall could hear it. After looking at each other, all eyes turned toward Miles Sterling.

Miles Sterling was momentarily stuck in place, unsure whether to leave or stay.

"Wow, isn’t that the young master of The Sterling family?"

"Yes, yes, I saw him at the exhibition today and sneakily took a picture to send to my friend. I didn’t expect to see him again at dinner!"

"He’s really handsome, but I hear he’s quite the philanderer. You can still find a lot of gossip about him online."

"True. A few years ago, every piece of news about him was linked to a different woman, but these past two years, it’s like he’s changed. Not only is there no woman in his life, but his career is also booming."

"Maybe he had some emotional setback, so now he just focuses on money instead of love."

"But maybe he’s found true love and decided to settle down."

The teaching assistant ran over and pulled Miles Sterling to Vanessa Sterling’s table, and Vanessa hung up her phone and looked at Miles Sterling.

She was somewhat surprised that Miles Sterling came, but her expression did not show much resistance or dislike.

When the teaching assistant arranged for Miles Sterling to sit next to Vanessa Sterling, Miles saw that Vanessa only averted her gaze without reacting, so he sat down, half-reluctant.

Colleagues at the same table teased, "Yvonne, you’re newlywed, how come you’re out here with such a handsome guy behind your husband’s back?"

"Don’t talk nonsense! This is Mr. Sterling, the handsome guy who heroically saved Teacher Sterling from bullies!"

Yvonne’s explanation made everyone look knowingly. Apparently, she was eager to tell anyone she met about the "hero saving the beauty" incident.

"Isn’t he the young master from Rivia? I think I’ve seen him in the news."

Yvonne immediately replied excitedly, "Rivia, huh? Teacher Sterling’s hometown is Rivia too! You two are really meant to be!"
