Vanessa was taken aback. Although she never admitted to liking Miles, the moment Yvonne mentioned a "crush," Miles’s face immediately popped into her head.

"I used to think your happiness had arrived, but I didn’t expect this kind of outcome."

Vanessa asked puzzledly, "Why are you suddenly talking about him?"

"Because I just saw him come over again! And he brought a woman with a great figure! I personally saw that woman get out of his car! Surely his new fling! That damn player!"

For a moment, Vanessa didn’t know whether to focus on Miles coming to this side again or on the fact that there was another woman by Miles’s side.

Since the rumor of Gwen Grant’s passing, no woman had appeared by his side for a long time.

She believed Miles wouldn’t revert to his old playboy ways; maybe it was his new date, after all, he wasn’t young anymore.

Vanessa turned towards the art room, and after closing its door, she quietly moved to the window.

After the driver got in, Miles sat in the back seat of the car. The woman initially opened the front passenger door but then closed it for some reason and sat in the back instead.

The two assistant men didn’t get in the car but stood by the roadside, waving goodbye.

Soon, the car drove away from the street and disappeared from Vanessa’s sight.

She stood looking in that direction, lost in thought for a long time.

Until a knock at the door brought her back to reality, and she hurried over to open it.

Yvonne stood at the door, curiously peering inside: "Teacher Sterling, what were you doing? Why did you lock the door?"

"I locked it out of habit, didn’t notice, what’s up?"

Yvonne chuckled: "My husband has a work dinner tonight, so I don’t have to go home for dinner. Let’s go eat out? My treat!"
