My Billionaire Husband Claimed Me His Precious
Chapter 1086 - 996: No Child
Hearing the nurse call her name, Mu Sha finally came to her senses. She walked into the ultrasound room, removed her shoes as instructed by the doctor, and lay down, lifting her shirt to expose her belly and abdomen.
Suddenly feeling something cool, she glanced down and noticed a mysterious substance had been applied. Immediately, a probe-like object started moving back and forth over her belly and abdomen.
Her heart was pounding fiercely. Because she was so nervous, Mu Sha could feel her heart racing unusually fast, afraid that the doctor’s next words would be hard for her to accept.
"You are pregnant."
The doctor’s words completely brought Mu Sha back to reality, leaving her feeling indescribably uncomfortable. The more she thought about it, the more helpless she felt. Remembering the two lines on the pregnancy test stick, she smiled bitterly, thinking: I didn’t realize the pregnancy test was so accurate.
"Due to early pregnancy, the gestational sac is quite small, and the fetal heartbeat isn’t very clear. You’re over four weeks pregnant. Be careful during the first three months. I’ll prescribe you some folic acid, it’s free, you can pick it up at the pharmacy."
Mu Sha took the note from the doctor, grabbed a few tissues from the box nearby and randomly wiped herself, then quickly walked out. She was constantly unwilling to accept the fact that she was pregnant.
"I-I really am pregnant."
Mu Sha thought about how she and Yan Lv didn’t really have feelings for each other. They met once and followed their elders’ arrangement to get married. They didn’t sleep in the same room on their wedding night. She still remembers the first time they slept together was because they were drunk, Yan Lv drank too much, and she was a lightweight, getting drunk after one glass.
Even though the next day when they faced each other, both felt awkward, since it had already happened, there wasn’t much to say. From then on, they both became very tactful, but interacting wasn’t very harmonious.
Unexpectedly, she was pregnant.
Mu Sha was at a loss, not knowing how to ensure everything turned out perfectly. She was very passionate about her work and didn’t want anything to disturb it. This child came at the wrong time; she wasn’t prepared, nor was Yan Lv. Moreover, she was ready to get divorced from the start.
Thinking back, it seems kind of ridiculous. She never thought she’d enter into marriage so quickly; this is another phase of life. Mu Sha wasn’t ready, nor did she expect to keep this child.
In the end, Mu Sha went to the pharmacy to collect the folic acid as the doctor had instructed.
"This is a three-month supply, take it according to the instructions, don’t forget it."
Mu Sha stared blankly at the two boxes of folic acid. She read the instructions and finally understood why she needed to take folic acid. Thinking carefully about how her period hadn’t come this month, she realized she hadn’t even noticed and thought it was just delayed.
She searched her phone for the benefits of folic acid, the more she read, the worse she felt, and eventually, she stuffed her phone into her bag. Her heart filled with more helpless thoughts.
Sitting in her private car, Mu Sha couldn’t help but touch her belly. She’s unsure where this little life is positioned right now. But she still felt an emotional change inside her, her feelings stirred by this child, seriously thinking about many things, eventually discovering that despite this sudden "accident," she somehow had some expectations.
"No, no, if this continues, how will I perform experiments?"
She couldn’t help but think the current experiment is a significant aid in overcoming the virus of AIDS. Moreover, being pregnant now is certainly dangerous, she understood. If she chose to have the child, it would mean automatically giving up the experiment; if she wanted to continue her current work, she had to give up the child.
