My Blood Legacy: Bloodlines
Chapter 111: Carmilla and Scarlet returned from Victor’s pocket.
The silence left by Charlotte’s departure lasted exactly three seconds.
Then something began to move inside Victor’s pants pocket.
Natasha immediately narrowed her eyes.
Victor also noticed the strange movement and slowly lowered his gaze to his own pocket, clearly already imagining exactly what was about to happen.
Serafall was the first to sigh.
"Ah... so they were still there."
Before Natasha could ask what exactly she was talking about, two small black shapes exploded out of Victor’s pants pocket like desperate bats trying to escape a coffin buried alive.
The two creatures flew across the hall completely uncontrollably, bumping into each other in the air while screaming simultaneously.
"GET OFF ME!"
"YOU’RE THE ONE PUSHING ME!"
Natasha’s eyes widened as she watched the two bats crash directly into the living room chandelier before falling to the floor in a chaotic mass of wings, screams, and insults.
The next instant, the transformation undid.
Two girls emerged from the living room floor, practically grabbing each other by the hair.
Carmilla immediately grabbed Scarlett by the face while Scarlett tried to strangle her own mother with an absolutely furious expression.
"It was your fault!" Scarlett yelled, trying to bite her shoulder. "You were taking up space!"
"I’m bigger than you, you miserable creature!" Carmilla retorted, pulling her daughter’s red hair without any aristocratic dignity. "My knees still hurt!"
"You literally used me as a pillow!"
"Because you were shaking like a chihuahua in withdrawal!"
Natasha stood there watching the scene, completely bewildered.
Her gaze slowly shifted from the two girls fighting on the floor... to Victor... then to Serafall... and then back to the two creatures violently attacking each other.
"...What the hell is this?" she finally asked.
Scarlett tried to answer while still being partially strangled by her own mother.
"She— that damned old woman—"
"OLD WOMAN IS YOURS—"
The two immediately started rolling around on the floor again.
Victor slowly massaged his forehead like someone who was losing the mental strength to continue processing his own life.
"Carmilla. Scarlett."
The two completely ignored him.
Scarlett finally managed to push Carmilla back before pointing furiously at her.
"It’s her fault! She kept kicking me in the pocket!"
"Because you were having a bloodbath and shaking like a starving dog!"
"You were too!"
"I’m elegant even in withdrawal!"
Natasha still watched with a completely blank expression. "...They were in your pocket the whole time?"
Victor nodded slowly.
"Ever since Rakshasa showed up."
Natasha blinked a few times, trying to process that information.
"Wait... they were hiding during all of that?"
Serafall immediately started laughing.
"Throughout everything."
Natasha slowly turned her face to the two of them again.
"So you heard... Wait, who are these two?"
Scarlett blushed completely.
Carmilla immediately looked away.
The awkward silence answered everything on its own.
Natasha’s eyes widened slowly.
"...Who are... you?"
"Oh, another woman," Carmilla replied with shattered dignity. "My husband is a scoundrel."
Victor immediately looked at her with a deadpan expression. "I literally never touched her."
"Details," Carmilla replied, pointing dramatically at him while still lying on the floor. "The psychological pain is still valid, I feel assaulted."
Scarlett immediately pointed at Victor as well, completely indignant.
"He abandoned two hungry vampires in a tight pocket while spending hours surrounded by dangerously beautiful women!"
"You hid yourselves, I didn’t ask for any of this." Victor replied emotionlessly.
"IT WAS FOR SURVIVAL!" they both shouted together.
Natasha watched this like someone watching a play written by a lunatic. "...What exactly are you?"
Scarlett finally got up from the floor while fixing her own red hair, completely destroyed by the fight.
"I’m Scarlett. You know me as the Troublemaker or something like that."
Carmilla also got up soon after, still trying to recover what little dignity remained.
"And I’m Carmilla. You must be my descendant... no, wait, I didn’t have children so... well, if you’re Valentine it’s because I created that name."
Natasha waited for the rest of the explanation. It didn’t come.
"...That doesn’t explain anything, actually I’m more confused now."
Serafall then decided to intervene, still clearly having too much fun with the whole situation. "They’re vampires dependent on his blood, just like you... no, actually they’re much worse."
Natasha blinked slowly. "...Worse?"
Scarlett immediately crossed her arms, her pride wounded. "His blood is absurdly addictive, he’s my husband, stay away."
"Chemically perfect," Carmilla added shortly after in an academic tone. "Nutritionally absurd. Spiritually stable. Emotionally comfortable. Genetically harmonious. Yes, he’s our husband, stay away."
Natasha was silent for a few seconds.
Then she slowly turned her face to Victor.
"...You’re dealing drugs now?"
"It’s a long story," Victor replied wearily.
Scarlett then immediately pointed at Natasha. "Wait... you drank too!"
Natasha froze.
Serafall began to smile dangerously.
Carmilla narrowed her eyes slowly.
"Ah..." she murmured. "So it was you."
Natasha immediately felt a shiver run down her spine.
"It was me what?"
Scarlett brought her face closer with absolute curiosity.
"You’re the woman who got off drinking blood."
The room fell silent.
Natasha instantly turned completely red.
"I DIDN’T—"
"It was you," Serafall replied, smiling. "You even squirted, they didn’t see it, but they must have heard it."
"SERAFALL!"
Carmilla was silent for a few seconds.
Then she slowly turned her face to Victor.
"...You let another vampire drink directly?"
Victor realized his strategic error too late.
Because the two were immediately horrified.
"DIRECTLY?!" Scarlett shouted.
"WITHOUT SHARING?!" Carmilla added immediately after.
Natasha immediately took a step back.
"...Why are you acting like two toxic ex-girlfriends?" Victor questioned, "I’m free, you know? Besides, it was on my arm."
"It doesn’t matter! She received premium treatment! We’ve wanted to drink blood for months, but you were focused on training!" Scarlett retorted, pointing accusingly at Natasha.
"She received fresh blood!" Carmilla seemed genuinely offended.
"At the source!" Scarlett almost cried.
Natasha looked at Victor incredulously.
"...Are they always like this?"
"Worse when they’re hungry," Serafall replied calmly.
Scarlett then dramatically clutched her shoulders.
"We’ve been without blood for MONTHS."
"Without affection," Carmilla added.
"Without attention."
"Without emotional nutrients."
Natasha’s eyes slowly widened.
"...Emotional nutrients?"
"Sex," Serafall translated immediately.
Natasha seemed increasingly tired of this reality.
The two then began pointing at each other simultaneously again.
"And it’s HER fault!" "THAT COW!"
"YOU ARE THE COW!"
"YOU ARE LITERALLY MY DAUGHTER!"
"And I regret it!"
Victor finally raised one hand slowly.
"Enough."
Instantly, the two froze.
The entire room fell silent.
Victor calmly looked at Carmilla and Scarlett, still completely agitated.
"No one will drink blood."
The two died emotionally at the same time.
Scarlett fell to her knees immediately.
Carmilla put a hand to her chest like someone struck by an irreversible tragedy.
"Victor..." Scarlett said dramatically. "You are cruel..."
"Inhuman..." Carmilla finished immediately after.
Natasha narrowed her eyes immediately.
"...You are vampires."
"EXACTLY!" the two replied together, pointing at her.
Serafall was practically crying with laughter at that point.
Victor remained completely impassive.
"And no negotiation."
Carmilla immediately seemed to think of something.
Then a smile slowly began to appear on her face.
"Well..." she began softly as she slowly crossed her legs. "I don’t exactly need blood if—"
"No semen."
The answer came instantly.
Direct.
Dry.
Fatal.
The effect was absurd.
They both froze completely.
Scarlett turned white.
Carmilla seemed to have taken critical emotional damage.
Then, slowly...
They both knelt on the ground simultaneously.
The change in posture was so quick and absolute that Natasha literally needed to look twice to confirm that those were indeed the same creatures that had been trying to kill each other seconds before.
Carmilla lowered her head.
Scarlett did too.
The two looked like children caught doing something wrong.
"S-sorry..." they said together in low voices.
The silence that followed was so absurd that Natasha had to put a hand to her face.
"...What a madhouse."
"I heard that," Carmilla murmured, still kneeling.
"Me too," Scarlett added defeatedly.
Natasha then slowly turned her face to Victor again.
"...How do you control them?"
Victor shrugged with absolute honesty.
"...I don’t even know anymore."
Serafall started laughing so hard she had to lean against the wall to avoid falling.
Meanwhile, Carmilla remained kneeling on the floor, completely emotionally devastated.
"...I hate withdrawal," she murmured dramatically.
Scarlett nodded immediately beside her.
"...I hate family."
