Chapter 948: An Infinite Number Of Undeads

The flames illuminated the dark sky as tens of thousands of arrows rained down upon the approaching undead.

Sishhhhh!!!!

The undead let out terrifying sounds as soon as the arrows struck their bodies, instantly setting them ablaze.

The sound of their screams was so horrifying that it made the warriors’ souls tremble in fear; it was an inhuman cry that sent chills down their spines.

However, just as the undead were burned, another wave surged forward without stopping, their inhuman screams filling the air.

"H-How are we supposed to fight something like this...??" someone muttered in a trembling voice, staring at the scene in disbelief.

"Can we even defeat them... they are endless!!"

"More and more undead are appearing... This is just way too much!"

Panic rippled through the hearts of the warriors as they watched the undead charge forward, trampling over their fallen without a shred of remorse.

"What are you waiting for?! Load your bows and release your damn arrows!!"

Suddenly, a sharp and commanding voice rang out, breaking their hesitation and fear at the same time.

Swish!! Swish!! Swish!!

Tens of thousands of arrows soared into the sky once again and rained down upon the undead.

However, the undead continued to advance despite the arrows raining down on them, even as thousands were slain.

King Evander stared at the scene with a cold expression, watching as the undead marched forward through the blazing fire without pause.

He turned toward his people, and with a firm look on his face, he shouted, "Get ready, everyone! We’ll be making our move now!"

"There is only one rule in this battle that will go down in history—kill as many as you can. Cause a slaughter that will shake this battlefield!" King Evander’s voice thundered across the border, igniting a fierce fire within the hearts of the vampires.

"Slaughter until not a single one remains... erase their existence once and for all!!"

As soon as the vampires heard this, they charged at the incoming undead with tyrannical force, as massive explosions shook the battlefield.

The vampires used their blood techniques to manipulate their own blood into various weapons, freely controlling them to slaughter the undead.

The archers stopped firing directly at the undead as soon as they saw the vampires charging in; however, instead of ceasing entirely, they shifted their aim forward.

They released arrows as far as possible, targeting undead far beyond the immediate battlefield, thinning their numbers and giving the vampires a slight advantage.

However, that did little to slow the undead advance; they continued marching forward relentlessly despite many being slain by arrows or the vampires.

The battlefield roared with chaos as the clash of steel echoed endlessly, blood spilled across the ground, and flames raged while explosions shook the earth.

Lilith watched the battle with a concerned expression, her succubi warriors standing beside her.

"If this continues, we will lose more men than the undead... their numbers are a hundred times greater than ours..." she muttered in a tense voice, her expression tightening as her fists clenched.

"At this rate, we won’t survive even a few hours, with no time to rest under this relentless assault..."

As the battle raged on, her voice grew quieter, the situation clearly not in favor of the allied forces, deepening her concern about the outcome of the war.

"I think it is time for us to make our move as well... after all, the vampires and the archers alone cannot hold out much longer." Werewolf King Vargan spoke, his voice low and expression unreadable.

"Indeed. It would be wise for us to act now." Emperor Rhex nodded, a firm resolve in his eyes.

"Then let’s do it. We can’t let King Evander and his men face the horde alone." Queen Lilith added, biting her lip in frustration.

A huge pair of bat-like wings appeared on her back, but unlike those of the vampires, her wings were thicker and had a different texture and shape.

She reached to her waist and unsheathed her daggers, and with a firm grip on the handles, she shot into the sky like a bullet.

Once she reached a certain height, she dived down at incredible speed, charging toward the undead on the ground.

Her daggers cut through the skeletons with ease and destroyed their cores, and the undead immediately turned into dust the moment their cores were shattered by her blades.

"Hey, look! It’s the Succubus Queen! She is finally taking action!!"

"What incredible speed! She took down more than fifty undead in a single strike!"

"And she still seems to be holding back! As expected of the Succubus Queen, she is truly dangerous!"

The warriors immediately shifted their attention toward the battlefield where Queen Lilith began her onslaught, slaughtering undead left and right with a cold expression on her face.

Their eyes were wide with awe, fixed on the figure of Queen Lilith as she danced across the battlefield, surrounded by thousands of undead.

Her hands moved effortlessly as her daggers sliced through bones and rotten flesh, destroying the cores of the undead with ease.

However, the undead were not decreasing at all. They continued to pour out from the dark mist endlessly, as if an infinite number of them were hiding within its depths.

Following her lead, the rest of the succubi also charged into battle. Their daggers pierced through chests, destroying the cores hidden within, cutting through bone and decayed flesh with ease.

"Kill all those vermin... let none escape!" King Vargan roared as his body began to transform into a gigantic humanoid wolf.

AWOOOO!!!

He let out a deafening howl before charging at the enemy, leaping high into the sky and crashing down onto the undead, crushing several beneath his massive weight.

His enormous frame was immediately swarmed by countless undead. However, their attacks proved ineffective against the Werewolf King.

Their rusted weapons could barely leave scratches on his towering body, wounds that healed almost instantly.

His razor-sharp claws tore through bones and shattered the cores within the chests of the undead.

AWOOOO!!!

The rest of the werewolves howled before charging into the enemy ranks, their claws effortlessly ripping through undead bodies and destroying their cores.

An all-out war erupted as every faction clashed head-on with the undead, refusing to retreat even as the enemy numbers far surpassed their own.

Emperor Rhex watched as the other races fought against the undead, risking everything to defend the border and protect their people.

Every warrior was willing to sacrifice their life to protect their loved ones—their families, their friends, the people waiting for them to return.

Unfortunately, war had always been cruel, showing no mercy to anyone.

Many warriors had already fallen and would continue to fall as long as the battle dragged on. However, the number of undead was so vast that victory seemed almost impossible unless a miracle occurred.

"At this rate, we will lose more men... Just where is Nerith right now? Why isn’t she here yet?" Emperor Rhex muttered with frustration, clenching his fists tightly until his knuckles cracked.

"Wow~! So many undead... Nice, they will serve perfectly as my practice dummies... hehe~!"

Suddenly, a soft and familiar chuckle echoed from behind, immediately making Emperor Rhex turn around.

"Well, their numbers are definitely massive... almost infinite. I wonder how the Undead King gathered so many... did he slaughter an entire continent or something?" Countess Isolde spoke, clearly surprised by the sheer number of undead on the battlefield.

"It doesn’t matter where they came from... I just want to erase them from existence... their presence is revolting, I feel disgusted just by looking at them." Lily spoke in an icy tone, her expression filled with disdain.

Isolde nodded softly. "Indeed. They look so disgusting that I want to burn them all, erasing their existence from this world once and for all."

"Then what are we waiting for? Let’s begin the purge." Valeria stepped forward, holding her massive sword effortlessly in one hand.

With a powerful kick against the ground, she launched herself forward, leaping several meters into the air before descending into the middle of the undead horde.

Bang! A violent tremor shook the battlefield as Valeria landed in the midst of the undead, causing a massive cloud of dust to rise.

Swish! Bang!

Her massive sword moved with effortless ease as she swung it, cutting through multiple undead at once.

Her attacks didn’t just destroy the undead but completely erased them, as her figure moved at an astonishing speed—almost impossible for the undead to follow.

She would appear and disappear in an instant, and whenever she reappeared, hundreds of undead would be sent flying into the air with their bodies completely shattered.

"W-Who is that woman?! How is she able to fight them so easily?!"

"She isn’t just killing them, she’s erasing them with ease!!"

"Look at her speed! I could barely catch a glimpse of her before she vanished!!"

The warriors couldn’t help but stare in Valeria’s direction as she used her massive sword to annihilate the undead with unmatched speed and strength.

Every attack from her resulted in the deaths of hundreds of undead, and it was happening so rapidly that the warriors couldn’t even begin to calculate how many she had slain so far.

"Looks like Sister Valeria is having quite a lot of fun," Vrasha muttered with a wide grin on her face as she observed the battlefield, then added, "Let’s join the fun, shall we?"

"Fufu~ Of course..." Emma nodded with a smile before clasping hands with Vrasha and leaping forward.

As soon as Emma and Vrasha landed in the middle of the battlefield, they began slaughtering the undead left and right.

"Meteor Breaking Fist!" Emma murmured in a low voice before unleashing her martial technique.

A profound aura gathered around her fist as her purple eyes glowed for a brief moment, and the air around her became heavy.

Bang! And the moment Emma unleashed her attack, a powerful shockwave swept across the battlefield, killing thousands of undead in a single strike.

"..."

The warriors who witnessed this scene looked as though they had seen a ghost, their eyes wide open, completely frozen in disbelief.
