Chapter 954: Defeat Of The Undead Dragon
"Was that all you had to offer? What a disappointment." Lily looked at the Undead Dragon with clear disappointment in her eyes.
The flames within the dragon’s empty eye sockets had grown dimmer and now flickered weakly, as if they were on the verge of extinguishing.
The Undead Dragon appeared exhausted, barely able to support itself in the air as many of its bones had been shattered by Lily’s relentless attacks.
"W-Why are you interfering in our affairs? This isn’t your war..." the Undead Dragon spoke, its voice low and filled with irritation.
Lily was slightly surprised to hear the grotesque creature speak; she had assumed it was nothing more than a mount for the Undead King.
Yet now, the Undead Dragon was speaking directly to her, leaving her momentarily speechless.
"So you can communicate... I didn’t expect that from an undead creature like you." Lily spoke softly, her cold gaze fixed firmly on the dragon.
"Of course I can communicate. Unlike those lowly undead, I possess my own will and thoughts." the Undead Dragon replied immediately.
"However, that doesn’t change the fact that you’re about to perish." Lily responded calmly, her expression unfazed as her grip tightened around the hilt of her sword.
"Neither will you...I’LL DESTROY YOU!!" the Undead Dragon roared furiously, spreading its wings wide.
The air around it rapidly heated up as the flames within its eyes intensified, while torrents of blue fire erupted from its mouth and engulfed its entire body.
The dragon became completely covered in blue flames, and gradually its size began to increase along with the temperature across the entire battlefield.
The sky turned deep blue under the blazing flames, while scorching heat waves radiated from the dragon’s massive body.
"Now perish beneath my claws, human!!"
The Undead Dragon roared before swinging its massive claw toward Lily, the claw engulfed in flames so intense that they generated a blazing heatwave across the battlefield.
However, Lily remained completely calm. There wasn’t even the slightest hint of fear or tension in her eyes. Her expression stayed cold, her gaze sharp and unwavering.
She allowed the Undead Dragon’s claw to approach her while remaining perfectly still in the air, without moving even an inch.
The sight shocked everyone on the battlefield.
People panicked as they watched the massive claw descend toward Lily while she remained motionless in the sky.
"W-What is that woman doing?! Why isn’t she dodging?!"
"She’s about to be crushed by that massive claw!!"
"Did the Undead Dragon do something to her?! Is that why she isn’t moving?!?!"
The battlefield erupted into chaos as countless assumptions spread among the allied forces, every single person clenching their teeth while watching the terrifying scene unfold.
Even the Undead King couldn’t help but stare at Lily in surprise, utterly confused by her actions.
’Did that woman accept her death? But that can’t be... She doesn’t look like someone who has given up...’ he thought, the flames within his eyes burning brighter as he focused entirely on Lily.
He observed her movements carefully, fully aware that Lily was not someone he could afford to underestimate.
After all, she was the one who had effortlessly slammed both him and his mount from the sky to the ground. Furthermore, even his lightning attacks had failed to harm her.
’Neither my attacks nor the dragon’s attacks have any effect on her... just what kind of existence is she exactly?!?!’ the Undead King screamed inwardly, unable to comprehend Lily’s true strength.
Lily’s very existence was shrouded in mystery, something even the Undead King—who had lived for countless years—could not understand.
Meanwhile, the massive claw of the Undead Dragon abruptly stopped midair, as though an invisible force had seized it and prevented it from moving any farther.
The Undead Dragon was shocked as its claw became trapped by an unseen power; no matter how hard it tried, it couldn’t pull its arm back.
’W-What kind of sorcery is this?!?! Why can’t I move my arm?!?!’ the Undead Dragon panicked and screamed inwardly.
No matter how much strength it used, it couldn’t free its limb—it remained locked in place like an immovable mountain.
"You...! What did you do to me?!" the Undead Dragon roared at Lily, the flames within its eyes burning fiercely with rage.
However, Lily remained calm where she stood and let out a mocking grin, sneering at the Undead Dragon.
"You spoke of ending my life... and yet, I can stop you—or even erase you—without lifting a finger. Or do you simply enjoy boasting?" Lily’s voice echoed through the battlefield, calm and measured, yet carrying an arrogance so overwhelming that even a dragon would feel humiliated.
The dragon fell speechless upon hearing this, its fury surging wildly. Yet despite its rage, it couldn’t do anything in its current state.
Even the Undead King stood speechless at the sight. Never in his life had he imagined someone could stop a dragon without even touching it.
’Just what kind of sorcery did that insane woman use to stop the dragon?! Just how powerful is she??’ he screamed inwardly, feeling utterly hopeless.
Suddenly, a realization struck him, causing his entire body to stiffen.
He had seen this woman before... somewhere in the desert. Not just the woman fighting his dragon, but all the women currently destroying his army—he had seen every single one of them.
’Right... no wonder they all seemed strangely familiar... so they’re the same group I encountered in the desert not long ago...’ he thought while looking at the women dominating the battlefield.
Then, he scanned the battlefield as if searching for someone, yet he couldn’t find the person he was looking for anywhere among the chaos.
’Where is that man who was with them? He’s the one I should truly be worried about...’ he thought, clearly remembering the unsettling feeling he experienced when he first noticed him in the desert.
And just then, his gaze landed on a figure standing atop the Great Wall, causing his body to instinctively step backward.
There, atop the Great Wall, stood Yuan—his golden eyes fixed upon the Undead King with the gaze of a predator.
’There he is... the monster I saw that day...’
—
Lily walked through the air toward the massive Undead Dragon, her expression calm while her grip tightened around the hilt of her sword.
"It was fun playing with you... but it’s time for me to end this little game. I still have other things to do." Lily spoke softly, her expression completely unfazed.
She used Qi Manifestation once again, locking all of the dragon’s limbs in place while even sealing its jaw shut.
It was effortless for her, and no matter how much strength the Undead Dragon used, it couldn’t move its body at all.
A freezing aura suddenly burst from Lily’s body, weakening the flames surrounding the Undead Dragon until they were nearly extinguished.
The sword in her hand emitted a bluish glow as the temperature around them rapidly plummeted.
Frost spread across the dragon’s body like a web, trapping it completely and sealing its movements as the flames around it vanished entirely.
Slash!
Without wasting another moment, Lily swung her sword in one swift and precise motion.
Whoosh! Clank! Clank!
Her blade instantly carved a deep slash through the dragon’s chest, splitting the core inside into two pieces before ice rapidly spread throughout its body.
The ice burst outward from the massive wound in the dragon’s chest, completely engulfing it within a gigantic block of solid ice.
Turning around, Lily muttered in a cold and emotionless voice, "This is the end for you."
As she slowly descended from the sky, cracks began to spread across the enormous block of ice imprisoning the Undead Dragon.
Moments later, the frozen dragon slowly crumbled into fine powder until nothing remained behind.
The entire dragon was erased from existence within mere moments.
The allied forces watched the scene with utter disbelief in their eyes, completely forgetting about the battle as they stared at the Undead Dragon turning into countless icy particles.
"D-Did she just kill that undead dragon?!"
"She didn’t just kill it... she completely erased its existence!!"
Shocked murmurs spread across the battlefield as everyone stared with widened eyes, unable to believe what they had just witnessed.
Meanwhile, Anna Grace and the others had also finished wiping out all the undead soldiers on their side, leaving behind mountains of bones across the battlefield.
While some undead turned into dust upon death, parts of their remains still littered the battlefield.
"It seems we’ve almost won this war..." Yuan spoke as he observed the battlefield from atop the Great Wall.
"Indeed. Once they eliminate that clown standing in the center... this war will finally come to an end." Long Yuyan replied while nodding calmly.
"Hmm... I wonder who will fight that disgusting creature now..." Selvariel muttered while staring at the Undead King.
"Perhaps Mother-in-law herself? After all, she is the strongest among them, and defeating that creature should be quite easy for her." Fang Xiaoyan responded softly while standing beside Yuan.
"We’ll find out very soon," Yuan replied with a faint smile as he shifted his attention toward Anna Grace.
Anna Grace was now flying toward Lily at incredible speed through the air after completely eliminating the undead soldiers on her side.
The remaining undead could easily be dealt with by the others. However, the Undead King was an entirely different existence.
Lily had already defeated the Undead Dragon, and as the leader of the family, Anna Grace now had to step forward to face the strongest enemy herself.
Meanwhile, the Undead King had already sensed her approaching presence and immediately became fully alert.
After witnessing Lily’s strength, he no longer dared to underestimate any of them.
