My Celestial Ascension
Chapter 956: Yuan Taking Action
Boom! Boom! Boom!
A series of explosions shook the battlefield as Valeria continued slaughtering the Undead Dragons in the sky, blue flames from the dragons spreading across the heavens.
The explosions were so powerful that massive shockwaves swept throughout the entire battlefield.
The allied forces would have been blown away by those shockwaves if Rose and the others hadn’t blocked them in time.
Even so, many among the allied forces could still feel the terrifying power behind the shockwaves, leaving them overwhelmed with despair.
Thanks to Rose and the others intercepting the shockwaves before they reached the battlefield, the allied forces managed to avoid catastrophic casualties.
Many would have lost their lives from the shockwaves alone, let alone the actual battle itself.
The Undead Dragons continued launching countless attacks toward the allied forces, but thanks to Rose and the others, they managed to survive.
Rose and the others were easily able to block the attacks, retaliate against the Undead Dragons, and kill them before they could launch another assault on the allied forces.
Another problem soon emerged on the battlefield as morning approached and the sun slowly began to rise.
Fortunately, the dark clouds covering the sky still protected the vampires for the moment. However, the instant those clouds disappeared, the situation would become fatal for them.
Vampire King Evander approached Emperor Rhex with a grave expression and spoke, "Your Majesty, my people need to retreat back to the campsite immediately."
"In just a few moments, sunlight will reach this battlefield. If my people fail to reach shelter in time, it will become a disaster for us. I hope you understand our situation."
"You may take your men back to shelter. And thank you for your assistance so far." Emperor Rhex replied without hesitation.
With that, King Evander immediately ordered his people to retreat toward shelter before the sun’s rays could reach the battlefield.
Meanwhile, Valeria continued relentlessly attacking the Undead Dragons, infusing her Sword Aura into her blade and creating devastating explosions with every strike.
At the same time, Rose and the others continued protecting the allied forces from both the shockwaves and the attacks of the Undead Dragons.
—
Yuan watched Valeria battle the Undead Dragons with a proud expression, noticing how much she had improved in mastering her Sword Aura.
"She has improved greatly compared to before... look at how effortlessly she’s destroying the Undead Dragons..." Yuan muttered with a faint smile.
Compared to before, Valeria’s incomplete Sword Aura appeared far stronger and more refined. Previously, her Sword Aura had been like a thin layer of fragile ice—unstable and crude.
However, now her Sword Aura was dense, hardened, and far more refined. It could effortlessly cut through the tough bones of the dragons and destroy the hardened cores within them.
"I can’t say much about this since I’ve never witnessed her fight like this before... but her Sword Aura is already close to true Sword Aura." Long Yuyan replied calmly.
Then she continued, "If she continues improving at this pace, she will eventually achieve true Sword Aura. And once that happens, her future as a Sword Master will become limitless."
"Agreed." Yuan nodded with a smile.
However, Valeria still had to figure out the rest on her own. Yuan couldn’t directly help her perfect her Sword Aura, as such a thing relied entirely on personal comprehension and understanding.
As Valeria’s understanding of the sword deepened, she would naturally awaken true Sword Aura herself. Ultimately, it depended entirely on her own talent and insight.
Then their attention shifted toward Anna Grace on the battlefield, who was clearly toying with the Undead King.
She wasn’t serious at all. In fact, she was leisurely taking her time while playing with her opponent. Yet despite her casual attitude during the fight, every one of her strikes was precise and unpredictable.
And each time she attacked, she left deep marks across the Undead King’s body. However, those attacks still weren’t powerful enough to kill him.
Witnessing this ruthless and brutal side of Anna Grace, both Isolde and Nerith were left shocked.
They couldn’t believe this was the same gentle and loving woman they had come to know. From their perspective, it felt as though their mother-in-law had suddenly become an entirely different person.
"T-That can’t be the same person..." Nerith muttered with a stunned expression, her eyes widened in disbelief.
Isolde stood beside her and slowly nodded. "Agreed..."
—
Yuan watched the battle with a bored expression on his face. He was already tired of watching his women fight, and the war continued to drag on endlessly.
’This is clearly becoming a waste of time... Should I just step in and end this quickly?’ he wondered inwardly while staring at the ongoing battle.
Angela, who stood quite close to him, noticed the look on his face and stepped nearer.
"What’s with that expression, dear? Are you feeling tired?" she asked gently while wrapping her arms around him from behind, pressing her chest softly against his back.
"I’m getting bored, Grandma. I think this war will continue dragging on if I don’t step in and end it myself." Yuan replied quietly, letting out a soft sigh.
"It certainly seems that way to me as well. Valeria alone isn’t enough to eliminate all the Undead Dragons by herself. You should do something—you’re a man, after all." Angela whispered softly into his ear.
"You’re right, Grandma. Besides, it would ruin my image as a man if I just let my wives handle everything alone."
"Unfortunately, that’s how the world views these kinds of situations." Angela sighed softly before slowly releasing him. "Most people in this world still don’t place women on the same level as men."
"Just ignore those people. Their opinions have nothing to do with us anyway." Yuan replied casually with a smile, causing a faint smile to appear on Angela’s face.
"You really are a smooth talker, my dear. No wonder you managed to seduce your own grandmother... fufu~" Angela chuckled softly before giving him a quick kiss.
Yuan let out a charming chuckle before replying, "Well, I’m simply too handsome and irresistible for you to resist... besides, you’re far too beautiful for me to ignore."
"If you keep saying things like that, I’ll drag you straight into the tent this instant and won’t let you leave for who knows how long," Angela replied with a bold smirk, her posture carrying a seductive charm.
"Fine, fine. I’ll stop teasing you..." Yuan sighed softly before turning toward the others.
"I’ve decided to step in and end this battle as quickly as possible so we can focus on our real objective," Yuan informed everyone before summoning his sword from his system storage.
Without saying another word, he flew straight toward the hundreds of Undead Dragons in the sky.
"Oh? So he finally decided to take action. Things were getting boring anyway, and now I’m finally getting excited." Long Yuyan muttered softly, unable to hide the faint smile forming on her lips.
—
Yuan suddenly appeared beside Valeria in the air, holding his sword firmly with both hands while a wide grin spread across his face as he raised the blade high above him.
"Leave these annoying lizards to me and get somewhere safe. Things are about to become very messy here." Yuan said to her as a massive burst of Qi exploded from his body.
Valeria immediately nodded with a serious expression and retreated far away from Yuan and the Undead Dragons.
She had already witnessed the terrifying power Yuan could unleash with his sword, and she was certain he was about to recreate something similar to the incident at the Holy Church back on the Human Continent.
All the Undead Dragons immediately focused their attention on Yuan the moment they sensed the enormous amount of Qi radiating from his body.
They roared furiously at him before charging at full speed, their aggression becoming far more intense than before.
It was almost as though they had instinctively sensed a threat capable of ending their existence, driving them completely wild. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
Meanwhile, Anna Grace was still clashing against the Undead King when she suddenly paused after sensing the enormous surge of Qi erupting from the distance.
A wide grin immediately appeared on her face, leaving the Undead King confused.
She turned toward him and said, "It seems your Undead Dragons are about to be erased. My darling has finally decided to handle things personally."
"Your darling? I don’t quite understand what you mea—" His words abruptly stopped the moment his senses detected something, causing his entire body to freeze instantly.
He immediately turned toward the location of the Undead Dragons, and the moment he saw what was happening, his jaw nearly dropped to the ground.
"W-What the hell is this monstrous power...?!?!" The Undead King exclaimed in complete disbelief.
"It’s my darling’s doing. You’ll understand in just a moment."
Suddenly, Anna Grace’s proud voice echoed across the battlefield.
A blinding radiance coated the massive sword in Yuan’s hand as the Undead Dragons charged directly toward him. He calmly waited for them to come closer so he could eliminate every single one of them in one strike.
"Empyreal Severing Sword Strike...!" Yuan muttered the name of the technique in a low voice.
A colossal pillar of light pierced through the dark clouds and shot high into the sky, illuminating the entire world around it. Seizing the perfect moment, Yuan unleashed the full power of the strike.
The pillar of light expanded rapidly, becoming so immense and intense that people could no longer look directly at it.
The attack surged forward with unstoppable force, erasing everything along its path before eventually engulfing the Undead Dragons entirely.
The dragons’ bones vaporized the instant they came into contact with the attack. They didn’t even have time to react or dodge, as the strike moved at terrifying speed.
Yuan had infused not only an enormous amount of Spiritual Energy into the attack, but also a vast quantity of Sword Aura, making it several times more destructive and deadly.
In the blink of an eye, every single Undead Dragon was erased from existence, leaving the entire battlefield stunned by the outrageous display of power.
However, the attack didn’t stop there—it continued advancing while annihilating everything in its path.
Several moments later, the attack collided with a massive mountain of sand, triggering a violent earthquake that shook the entire battlefield.
As a result, the enormous sand mountain was completely erased, leaving behind a gigantic crater in its place.
Everyone who witnessed the scene stood utterly dumbfounded, while some even collapsed to the ground because what they had just seen simply defied all logic.
"There, the Undead Dragons are gone now... What remains are only a few thousand lowly undead and their king..." Yuan muttered with a faint smile.
Then he glanced toward the massive crater and let out a soft sigh. "It seems I used a little too much strength in that attack... though I can’t really complain about it."
