"Guess who I am?"

The girl in front wore a crossbody bag, her JK uniform highlighting her exquisite figure. Her long black hair was tied up with a dark green ribbon, the rest of which dangled down her slender white neck, pure and beautiful. Her almond-shaped eyes were bright and lovely, her smile dazzling, easily evoking affection.

Cui Jiangjing paused and squinted his eyes.

Huo Xiahe blinked, her eyelashes fluttering, eyes showing disappointment, "Seriously? You didn’t recognize me?"

"Xiahe."

She immediately shifted from disappointment to joy, her smile radiant as she excitedly hopped over to hold his arm, "It’s me, it’s me! How about this, you didn’t expect me to get into Briton University, right? Amazing or not? I fulfilled our promise, you promised me, as long as I got into Briton University, you would agree to one of my conditions."

Cui Jiangjing had nearly forgotten the bet he made with her. Back then, he was only eighteen or nineteen, rebellious, and had been exiled abroad by his family for a while.

Cui Hao had asked a family friend, Mrs. Huo, to look after him. Mrs. Huo divorced her husband within five years and settled abroad with her daughter. It was then that he met Xiahe. Eventually, Cui Hao called him to return home for studies, and tired of the foreign streets, he promptly packed and bought a ticket.

At the airport, Huo Xiahe cried her heart out, tears and snot everywhere, to see him off.

Then he made a bet with her, telling her to get into Briton University, saying that once she came to his turf, he’d look out for her.

Who’d have thought the little kid actually got into Briton University.

He assumed that when Cui Hao asked him to meet someone at the airport yesterday, it was because the kid had gotten into another school in Capital City.

Medical staff passed by in the corridor, glancing their way.

You could faintly hear them whispering.

"Wow, that girl is so pretty, is she the dean’s girlfriend?"

"Isn’t the dean dating that actress?"

"Which actress? You mean Oulan, oh, that was in the past. The dean already has a new girlfriend. I’ve heard he’s serious this time, treating her very well, headed for marriage. I’ve always wondered what she might look like, surely as beautiful as a heavenly immortal. Turns out she’s young and pretty, no wonder men like her."

Huo Xiahe also heard their discussion, turned her head with a sweet, innocent smile, eyes like stars, "They think I’m your girlfriend..."

"They got it wrong." Cui Jiangjing subtly pulled away her hand, maintaining a proper distance, his demeanor steady with a hint of detachment, "I stick to my word. So, what condition do you want to propose? As long as it’s not excessive, I’ll agree."

"You’ll agree to anything?"

Cui Jiangjing frowned slightly, his gaze on her face, adding a limitation, "As long as it’s not making things difficult for me, and it’s not illegal. For example, if you want nice clothes, bags, or a watch as a reward."
