My Co-renting Lady Boss
Chapter 1927 - 1923: Her Beloved Has Arrived
"Take a look at your palm first."
Little Red reminded while eating.
Murong Xue lowered her head in confusion, and her face changed immediately as she saw her palm was utterly black—she was poisoned.
"When did you poison me?"
Murong Xue glared at Little Red with a sullen face.
"You called me an Ancient Poison Beast; though I’m not sure what it is, the name obviously implies I’m very poisonous!"
Little Red grinned, lifting her head arrogantly: "My attacks are laced with poison; we’ve been at a stalemate for so long that it’s invaded your body through your Gang Qi. If I’m displeased, you could die from the poison at any moment."
"Damn, you’ve got that kind of power?"
Tang Ming looked at Little Red in shock.
"Papa, we’ve been dealing with poison since we met, only before I hadn’t found the Ancient Poison Crystal Core’s power. Now that I have, I can naturally use poison."
Little Red explained seriously.
"Alright, you’re amazing, no doubt!"
Tang Ming nodded repeatedly, looking at Murong Xue again: "Murong Sect Master, you don’t need to fight to the death; you could perish at any time."
"We... we can talk about this."
Murong Xue grimaced, holding back: "No matter what, Wei’er is my disciple; you should show her some respect."
"Huh? Isn’t Wei’er Zi Yuan’s disciple?"
Tang Ming looked bewildered.
"Zi Yuan indeed wanted to take Xia Wei’er as a disciple initially, but when Wei’er came to Rainbow Cloud Peak, I recognized her talent and personally took her as my apprentice—I am Wei’er’s mentor."
Murong Xue explained truthfully.
"So that’s how it is, then I really can’t kill you."
Tang Ming frowned in dilemma; after all, she’s Xia Wei’er’s mentor—it’s hard to make a move.
"That’s good! This place is the Forbidden Land of Rainbow Cloud Peak, so please don’t cause trouble and leave quickly..."
"I don’t want to discuss this with Murong Sect Master; if there’s anything, ask Wei’er to come see me; I’m too lazy to visit Rainbow Cloud Peak again."
Tang Ming waved his hand, interrupting Murong Xue and turned to Zhang Baobao, who was busy: "Given the situation, you’ve tried numerous times to kill me; even if I wipe you all out, it would be justified unless Wei’er pleads otherwise... haha."
Hearing this, Murong Xue’s face was uncertain, realizing she—a Three-star Martial General—was being completely controlled by Tang Ming.
"I’ll go see Wei’er; she’ll explain everything to you. Give me the antidote first."
Murong Xue gritted her teeth but ultimately compromised.
"This poison has no antidote."
Little Red quickly shook her head, "This vast world has only me and my dad who can detoxify you. You can start by calling me Wei’er Mama, then we’ll detoxify you; otherwise, if I stimulate the Poison Power, you’ll die from the poison."
"Are you threatening me?"
Murong Xue yelled angrily.
"This isn’t a threat; it’s a reminder."
Little Red shook her head, explaining seriously.
"You’ve got some nerve."
Murong Xue was furious, immediately turning to run away.
"Rainbow Cloud Peak ran into us—what a misfortune. Wave after wave they tried to show off only to end up losing; it’s inevitable!"
Tang Ming patted Little Red’s head, strangely giving a kiss.
"All settled, hahaha!"
At this moment, Zhang Baobao’s laughter suddenly rang out.
Tang Ming turned to look, almost bursting into laughter as he saw Zhang Baobao had created a square pile of stones, topped with human heads. The people from Rainbow Cloud Peak closed their eyes in humiliation—utter disgrace.
"Genius, truly a genius!"
Tang Ming’s mouth twitched, quickly heading over to Meng Xianjun and Zhang Chuming to help heal injuries.
After Murong Xue returned to the sect and dealt with her wound, she arrived in front of Xia Wei’er’s residence, hesitating as she looked upstairs, visibly troubled.
The situation at Rainbow Cloud Peak has become like this for two reasons: one, to prevent Xia Wei’er from entanglement with Tang Ming and secretly resolve it; and two, to retake the Forbidden Land.
But now, having dispatched over a dozen One-star Martial Generals, two Two-star Martial Generals, and herself—a Three-star Martial General—the sect failed in both tasks; it’s absurd.
Murong Xue pondered whether to trigger the emergency alert to summon stronger forces but decided against it when she noticed the black poison in her hand.
Her life is in Tang Ming’s hands; if things take a downturn, it won’t bode well for her, Murong Yunhai, and the others—even killing Tang Ming would be futile.
"Oh dear! Striving against what was intended—I didn’t want Wei’er to engage with Tang Ming, but now I have to rely on her to reclaim the Forbidden Land and save lives, truly embarrassing!"
Murong Xue sighed, forcing herself to head upstairs.
Facing the setting sun, Xia Wei’er was seated in meditation, contemplating the wonderful power of day and night transition.
As Murong Xue ascended, Xia Wei’er slowly opened her eyes, turning to greet Murong Xue: "Master, what brings you here?"
"Cough cough, just came to check on you."
Murong Xue coughed dryly, awkwardly looking at Xia Wei’er.
"Thank you, Master, for your concern; I’ve never neglected my practice."
Xia Wei’er smiled gently.
"Indeed! Your diligence is evident. Nearly a decade-long hiatus, yet you’ve caught up within a year—you’re truly an extraordinary talent in martial arts."
Murong Xue sighed with a complex expression.
"Thank you, Master. I just want to improve my cultivation quickly and reunite with my beloved."
Xia Wei’er blushed, gazing wistfully out the window: "I wonder how he’s doing now!"
Hearing this, Murong Xue felt sickened as if swallowing a fly; that bastard is thriving here, nearly turning the sect upside down, though Xia Wei’er remains unaware.
"Wei’er, this time Master visits not just for a chat, but there’s something to tell and ask your help."
Murong Xue took a deep breath, looking at Xia Wei’er with indecision.
"Whatever Master instructs, unless it’s about marriage, I’ll give my utmost effort."
Xia Wei’er spoke calmly, knowing Murong Xue wished for her marriage with Murong Yunhai, but she had someone else in her heart and wouldn’t accept anyone else.
"It’s not about that! I wanted to say... Tang Ming is here."
Murong Xue gritted her teeth, suddenly deflated like a burst balloon.
"What?"
Upon hearing this, Xia Wei’er, who had been calm, widened her eyes and exclaimed.
"Tang Ming is here—your beloved."
"Is that... is that true?"
Xia Wei’er jumped up, pacing excitedly: "Where is he? I must see him right away."
"No, no, where’s a mirror? Do I look alright right now?"
Xia Wei’er frantically searched for a mirror, checking her appearance repeatedly.
